  • go ali velshi

  • great job keep fighting the fight

    100% proven facts

  • You lost Vietnam. You will lose Iraq.

  • too bad we're winning, coward

  • Nice to see Uncle Jimbo and the nice female reporter vindicated about Haditha. Murtha is a disgrace and if he had any shame would have resigned from congress.

  • I'd like to say this much: At some point, perhaps there was justificaton for military bashing when there was conscription. But this late 60's "peace movement" has lived on and never changed their tune. They're still bashing the military, but yet the military has evolved tremendously.

But they never noticed, and some of them speak out anyway.

  • There is no secret about the Iraq war. Solders know that there is no relationship between Al Qaeda and Iraq, no WMD. If you sign your name on that paper to go into battle you are as guilty as the Bush Administration...How has the military evolved? They know how to lie better? Fuck your war.

  • The mainstream media sux! It has been disgusting to watch the way they have "reported" on the war and the troops. Our armed forces deserve better than that. They work hard and have given everything up to perform their duties for us and our country. Instead of firm resolve and support the LL and mainstream media has given them the shaft.

It is great to see your vids here on YouTube Uncle Jimbo! You tell it like it is.

  • Wow, amaizngly that day my baseball won a perfect game. The next day we got out of school. Then was it like acouple days later we killed Zarqawi (SP) Amazinly these Liberal fucks cant get it through there sick selfish skulls that CIVILLIANS DIE IN WAR! It's always happend. Jesus christ have mercy on those sick fucks.

  • Yeah, Arwa Damon...tell the bad guys how our Marines clear buildings, call in air strikes and utilize tactics...you dumb bitch! Another stupid Canadian reporter working in the US making a name for herself! Sound familiar? By the way, the Marines were exhonorated of this massacre. Suck It!

  • good vid. we went from the pinnacle of power to an empire on the brink of decline on bush's watch. all the signs are there. this is our collapse and we hold our breath.

  • CNN The most trusted name in the News? FUCK U

  • This is exactly like the police where the good cops must turn in the bad. Unfortunately th brotherhood wont allow it as it is hard to turn in someone who has been protecting your life. I feel for the soldiers who can't and so it is important that the military have the will and the power to police it's own. Murtha told the truth and he is an honest man.

  • Congressman Murtha, as a former Marine is right to make sure this situation is made public. Only then will the citizenry realize what the war is doing, and causing our servicemen to do, to the very people we were suppose to "liberate". Those, who perpetrated this, and those non-coms and officers who attempted to cover it up, should rot in Portsmouth. Anything less would be an insult to Semper Fi!

  • When will people learn that war is war. War is ugly, war is deadly and far from sterile. Never will war be this "padded room" with flowers on the walls that the liberal airheads want. War is war and using certain means to achieve a goal is fair game. They should use more calling cards...hmmm...maybe some Garbage Pail Kids stickers.

  • So,bullethead, what exactly was the goal in Iraq?

In case u've been in a foxhole for 4 months, the "war at any cost" guys lost and Bush is reduced to "surge". We'll see how THAT one goes won't we.

Next time it might help if we got our facts right first. Aw! Who cares. Drop in at Walter Reed Army Med Center, if u're in the hood, and get a real good look at "war is war", as u so eloquently put it.

And I'll just bet u "support the troops", right?

  • Thank god folks like you are more often than not in the minority. Luckily that was the case during WWII. Otherwise we would be speaking German. I have a feeling that you and others like you would still hold these views regardless of the "legality" of any war. This is the problem with the United States these days. We as a nation have been lulled into this sense of complacency and anything thats outside of our comfort zones is suspect. Its the "armchair" quarterback syndrome.

  • The majority of people, including this vet, trusted that our leaders were telling us the truth about why we were going into Iraq. We, the majority, have since discovered that ours leaders LIED!!! Big difference fella. No wonder you don't want to bring up "find me a way to get into Iraq" Bush. And that teensy weensy item makes all the difference now. That plus we have no hope of winning anything in Iraq.

  • I was in the service for over 8 years on throughout the 9/11 attacks, so don't even try the Walter Reed conversion therapy. You and people like you taint the sacrifices of soldiers like those you speak of by making it look like it was for nothing. They are there and it is what it is. Instead of talking for them, talk to them and see what they say.

  • Also, I never once brought up "Bush" or the "Goal" of the war. I was speaking in generalities so please refrain from telling me to get my facts straight until you do the same. But on the same note, your reaction is typical of the "anti-war" crowd. Its the default fallback question when you can't think of anything else to say, old and regurgitated thousands of times over.

  • This neocon admin has wrecked our military to boot. Or haven't you been paying attention to equipment shortages? In the business world it's called "deferred maintenance" and nothing destroys a business quicker than that. Cheney/Bush's "legacy" will be felt for a decade or more on our military. Someone else will have to rebuild. And, I'm sick of assholes calling anything or anyone who doesn't agree with them "liberals". U're watching way too much O'Rielly/Limaugh/Hannity/Coulter sport.

  • If thats your expert opinion, that being that the military will feel this for a decade. If so, the war in Vietnam ending in 1975, was not felt for a decade. It being a much costlier war than what we have now. Actually quite the contrary. During the early eighties the military build-up was close to being equal to that of the one during the Vietnam war if not more.

  • I meant to say defense spending rather than build-up.

  • Also I feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Illegal or not, the fact of the matter is that we are there and there is nothing going to change that. You being a vet should know that if you were in this situation you would feel rather upset about the rising anti-war sentiment. I know I would and am. What answer for the "get out of Iraq" question are you looking for. Instead of asking me, why don't you give me a suggestion instead and then I will respond.

  • And I don't watch those shows you mentioned...sport.

  • Meanwhile, back in Afghanistan...remember,9/11 started there and it has ratcheted up there a few notches since we "won". So, in a way, you're right. We are stuck in Iraq with no alternative but to chew up more lives, more billions spent,(Wall St.'s doing OK tho), and then the question for u is: FOR WHAT? Got an answer more comprehensive than; because we're there, sport?

  • I like everyone else don't like the fact that our brethren are dying over there. But do we fix the situation or do we pull out and leave it up to the Iraqi's who can't even wipe their own asses. I don't know what to do. My only point was that war is ugly and then you started getting all political on me. I feel that with this situation there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I guess that this opinion is right on track with your own. Hopefully this answers your question.

  • A better answer can be found within the VN analogy u brought up before. We finally pulled out of there, right, and did our country come crashing down? Did the Cong follow us home?

Imagine the lives that could have been saved, and the vets lives that might not have been ruined dealing with the aftereffects, had we "cut & run" much, much sooner. But then again, there's no oil in VN.

  • There has been a lot of mis-use of the term "Semper Fi" since this event, the Marine motto of always faithful. Mainly by posers. It does not mean faithful just to the Marine Corps, but to the higher ideals of duty, honor, and country - the reasons the Marine Corps exists. To try to sweep this sad event under, or make excuses for it -like "fog of war" is a disservice to that motto and to everything the Marine Corps stands for.

  • As a former Marine let me give you a little background:

This massacre of 24 civilians was alledgedly done by members of the 3rd Batl. 5th Marine Reg. That regiment is the most highly decorated unit in Marine history going back to WW1. If these allegations prove true - and at this point the evidence is pretty damning, then that would be a major disgrace to the 5th Marines and every Marine still alive.

  • the scary part is, it's one of the first signs of authoritarianism.

    i suggest reading

    Politics by Aristotle

    Public Opinion by Walter Lippmann

    Propaganda by Jacques Ellul

Rich Media, Poor Democracy by Robert W. McChesney

Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media by Edward S. Herman, Noam Chomsky

  • if anyone actually believes the talking heads on cable news (espeically the op-ed pundits mascarading as journalists) should read. Fox is the most egregious of all networks in slanting news or outright lying to push an agenda; they're also the ones who rant about other networks the most. this is called projection, & it's an insulator so their audience has a scapegoat to attach their denial to and reactionarily assign blame to, when their subconcious realizes theyre being lied to.

  • what kind of stupid question is that

"who think it's been negative towards the military"

no, marines murdering women and childeren execution style in the back of their head while theyre on their knees makes the military look fantastic.

    f*cking ridiculous.

  • "Im in no way trying to make a clear comparison between this guy and scumbags but... isn't this how the fucking terrorists try to plead their case? in front of a flag in their bedroom."

I call bullshit. You are absolutely attempting to make such a "clear comparison." Please refrain from insulting my intelligence in the future.

  • Wow dude,

I will refrain from letting you know just how pathetic that comment is. Bugger off Wanker.

    Cordially,

    Uncle J

  • Im in no way trying to make a clear comparison between this guy and scumbags but... isn't this how the fucking terrorists try to plead their case? in front of a flag in their bedroom.

    This is not information.

  • And Murtha had access to a 6 month investigation on Haditha that you don't have. , It was being investigated six months before he even spoke on it so rush to judgement is a lie.

  • Ilario Pantano supposedlt quit the army after being cleared of shooting two unarmed Iraqi's but the sign he left on the car of the dead civilians ,"Your best friend or your worst enemy" was not cleared up . You and I know that was against marine policy. His intention was to terrify Iraqi's and THAT is why he is out of the military.

  • So called "calling cards" are nothing new in warfare. Using a placard with a fairly well known saying is hardly terrorizing. Its a simple warning to local terrorists and would-be supporters. I'm pretty sure he opted not to continue in the USMC for the same reasons he joined: as a matter of principle.

  • I'm sorry but that is terrorizing. It is. There is no excuse. If someone shot your son or daughter, justified or not, leaving a calling card is a sign of power, not communication. No one, not here or abroad could view it as anything but terrorism.

  • I suppose I meant terrorizem, very strictly (FBI definition) in the modern sense. But yes, it is definitely a warning to the locals. Join these scumbags and end up like them (dead) or join us and live and prosper. I concur it is a sign of power but in that power lies a very effective means of communication.

I guarantee there are a lot of "no ones" you describe, yours truly included. Scaring is not the same as terrorize.

  • Well done, Uncle J.

    Keep fighting!
