this is one of them songs, you have the stereo wound up on the highway, you get to the end of it, you look at the speedo and you doing 140 or 150 k's an hour. your driving licence is at risk for this reason, if you listen to anything from rage.
How appropriate that the original band with astonishing raw energy, a political vision & conscience, the fantastic & sadly underrated Detroit boys have their classic covered by their modern counterparts. Still prefer the original though.

But at this time in human history and especially in america there is only one way to make a living and that is money unfortunately there is no other option. Rage Against The Machine are all about power to the people and eradicating poverty and of course playing awesome music. So too right that their making music. Just being supportive of one of my favorite bands here man

Sad that this is the best on offer nowadays. Rob Tyner sang, you could understand every syllable; this guy shouts meaninglessly. The MC5 were joyful & sexy, the guys are ugly & full of rage & hatred. The MC5 fans were drop-outs who did drugs for cosmic enlightenment, for them R&R was a revolutionary act; after this gig this audience will go back to boring jobs, working for multinationals or the government; probably they don't even smoke cigarettes & for them R&R is just a sweaty sport event...

I love RATM but I hated their cover of this song as soon as I heard the first notes on the album. I wanted to hear it another way to give it another chance by trying this video but they play quite in the same spirit. MC5 had much more energy to my ears.
