@Logicfray tires can be changed in 1.5 seconds, this was using the older tire system and 2007 was refueling they stopped it in 2010, but during practice/ qualifying they have this fuel rig as they full for 5 laps

@92tbruck NASCAR Required no skill, unlike F1. And that's not skill you see in a NASCAR pitstop, that's NASCAR refusing to move with the times. 5 bolts on a modern day race car tyre is crazy.
personally, i'd rather watch a bunch of on the edge racing bricks run around in a circle always trying to pass each other without wrecking, than have the most complex track ever being run by highly precise machines that with the exception of the restarts barely get close to one another. i saw a driver actually get penalized for trying to pass in a "risky spot". wheres the competition in f1 if you can only pass in certain spots and no attempting to block is allowed.
@foxboy64 Like obipat said, you dont watch football for the sake of others getting hurt. You watch to see which team wins. And all sports are like that. You wouldnt want to go on a track of public road to have someone behind just pressing you and stressing you just to get you out of the way. Precision and skills is about YOU overtaking others safely and presice, not just pedal to the metal racing pushing others out for their own sake and call themselves skilled

F1- drivers need insane reflexes, more intricate tracks, almost never pass eachother, and have cars that stick to the road. Pit crews are massive and can get the job in 10 seconds with all their high tech equipment
NASCAR- drivers also need reflexes, oval tracks, almost always attempting to pass, with cars that are usually either loose or tight. Pit crew- 7 people, 5 lug nuts, one jack, and one gas man with a can of gas. 12 seconds
Both-entertaining, amazing, exciting, hate Montoya.
Stop hating on Nascar, it's not as hard to race in or interesting to watch as F1, but it still takes a LOT of skill to keep such a heavy car going round those corners without running into the guy next to you and keeping a good pace.
@yerty2000 So many ignorant idiots out here claiming NASCAR is easy and anyone can do it, yet they have no basis to judge that on. Both sports take skill. Just because they race in ovals doesn't mean it's 'easy' for the driver, because NASCAR is so simple and all the cars are equal, you really have to be special to stand out and win. In any case, Kimi hasn't been doing so great in NASCAR at the moment, and he definitely isn't sleeping. I don't like NASCAR but at least I have some respect.
@yerty2000 nascar isnt simple bro trust me i have tremendous respect for f1 but im mostly a nascar fan juan pablo montoya has been in nascar 6 years and has only managed to score two wins in top-noch equipment. f1 drivers have respect for nascar, nascar drivers have respect for f1 cuase they know how challenging both of their sports are.
@yerty2000 The only thing that stands out to me in a NASCAR race is its a good spectator sport, you can go watch it live and see the whole track, and i Guess the only thing people want to see when they watch NASCAR Is people crashing.
@yerty2000 As any keen racing fan will know they are not comparable, And montoya did go from F1 to nacar and he's not doing very well... It's different.
@MrOomar30 Ah well ya. I can see that there is only about 5 or so people actually doing the hard work, but still those 27 or so each have a job no matter how big or small it is. I just think it's cool that's all.
The tyre guys are so good, they make it look like they are cruising which, they most definitely are not, if they could work out a way to get more fuel in, they could cut 2 secs off the stop
i don't understand why on every f1 video the "highest rated comments" are nascar-bashing. i'm a huge fan of both, they're completely different - just give it a rest already.
@PsychopathicLlama you gotta be pree fucked in the head to say that. do you see how much room they have in that cockpit? its like a glove on a hand, HOW DA FUCK DO YOU FIT A CLUTCH AND A SHIFTER? this is only the paddock and its 1 pitstop, soo stop being stupid cause this it not the whole race. you know shit about f1, they don't have traction control or nothing anymore. AND THE COCKPITS IN A NASCAR ARE SO BIG BECAUSE OF THE FATASSES THAT SIT IN THEM

@xPiiNGUx very funny. just trying to prove a point. its pointless to compare nascar and f1. theyre both awesome sports in their own rights, and as race fans, we should respect them like we respect any other form of motorsport.
...consistently in the top-middle of the field. When Jeff Gordon and JPM swapped rides at Indy in 2003, Gordon did so well that he was given tests and support to drive in F1 if he wanted to. NASCAR and F1 are both very difficult in their own rights.
As to which is more exciting, NASCAR edges F1 at least for me. 3-wide at 200mph sounds better than a car whizzing by every 2 seconds. Dont lie, it kinda does.
If you read everything, i think i made my point. neither is much better than the other =)
Can't we all just get over the F1 vs NASCAR bullshit?! Neither is much better than the other. And they're on opposite sides of the spectrum! I personally like both.
F1 has technology, exclusivity, and deep pockets. NASCAR has side-by-side racing, traditional methods, and btw they do drive road courses (only 2, i wish they had more.)
To F1 Fans, NASCAR is not easy. You have a 3500 pound brick-on-wheels to wrestle around a racetrack. To NASCAR Fans, F1 is clearly not easy. Your muscles would...
...be sore for days after 1 all-out lap around Silverstone.
Now to pitstops. Get over it. F1 and NASCAR use 2 different systems for pitstops.
NASCAR: Gasman (gravity fed), Jackman, 2 Tire changers (5 lugnuts), 2 Tire carriers, Catchcan Man (assists Gasman.) Pitstop in less than 13 secs.
F1: 2 Jackmen, 4 Tire changers (1 lugnut), 8 Tire carriers, Lollipop Guy (holds the sign to exit the pit box). Pit Stop in less than 4 secs. (2010 pitstop; no fuel)
alot of the safety features and many other things on cars nowadays have come from development on f1 one big example is carbon brakes, carbon fibre body work high octane fuels and so on.
there are 25 men on the fucking pit box....thats gay, NASCAR only has 8 at the most, and the car is bigger........plus nothing beats American Muscle fuck f1.....NASCAR rules
how can it be gay if its the biggest motorsport in the world, and it generates more a year. I tell whats gay about nascar is how they go around in circles, thats no skill, i could probably do that and im only 16 who legally isn't qualified to drive a car in the UK yet. Not to mention a f1 car would outdrag a nascar easily, you people who go to the grandstands to watch cars in a circle, sheeze, you lot all look like mugs on the television coverage i tell you
@beyblader10171 Have you tried driving those cars? Then you wouldn't know whether it's easy or not. Raikkonen's best finish is 15 and I'm sure he's a much better driver then you. So clearly, there is some skill involved. I don't even like NASCAR it's boring to watch, but a true racing fan appreciates the sport in all forms.
@beyblader10171 nascar drivers dont just drive in circles they have road courses too theres about 5 of them including montreal a track i belive f1 races at too
@yorchreloaded ferrari had a special system with lights. so that if everything was okay, the light turned from red to green and Felipe and Kimi were able to go! But the system didnt work so well xD thats why Felipe drove away with the fuel installation in Singapore 2008 ;)
NASCAR is nothing compared to f1 for starters NASCAR just involves making left turns in most tracks(all but one i think) and f1 tracks are more complex...the best reason I have that f1 is waaaay better are the girls have you seen the girls that go to the races, those are women not like the red necks that go to NASCAR races
nascar harder to drive than an F1 car....... haha. you have no idea. do nascar have 15-20 corners pulling 4 to 5 G in 80% of them. no. even something like formula renault would be harder than nascar
yeah and thats what makes them so much harder to drive. An expensive sports car will pull up to 1.5G in a corner, F1 cars easily pull 5G cornering and braking. Its much harder on the body than any other racing. Saying to take the front wing off an F1 car and watch it hit those corners is like saying take the wheels off a nascar and watch it go. Both are vital parts of the respective cars.
@FISHRFun Nascar is gay.. stop watching F1 videos on youtube if you don't fancy the sport. Turn 8 in turkey is a good example of a left turn in the counter-clockwise track over 4g's on the driver.
effort that you put in to formula 1 every year is unbelievable. KERS last season, f-duct this season. thats rocket science, what has Nascar got.. slab of beer and a circular track??
@105dou67 stop getting so emotional its a stupid sport that shouldn't even be a sport .might as well go sit on my side walk and watch the cars go by, that'll entertain me MUCH more !
Nascrap takes no skill what so ever, it's some oversized lazy rednecks that think there all that cause they can turn left for an hour. While Formula 1 is the real deal and i don't care how many lug nuts you have on a Nascrap, itle never be as good, fast, and entertaining as formula 1 !
@hypersaiyangoku yes, crashes make the F1 races interesting but if you watch Nascrap only cause it has alot of "crashes" then thats almost as pathetic as the sport.
@AlexGabriann Maybe, but there is a big up side to them crashing, when they crash researchers will use that crash data to help make our road cars safer,
@AlexGabriann Exactly. My coworker said exactly that. He says he loves NASCAR for the crashes and for the drama between drivers. NASCAR fans might as well watch soap operas. Yawn. NASCAR is joke.
@AlexGabriann HOW THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT ENTERTAINING!?!?!....and why is it that everyone who is a redneck is fat and lazy....if rednecks were lazy, then why does nascar have a clutch...a shifter instead of gay paddles shifters.....f1 has buttons to do everything for em, like jacking the car up to change tires, only having 1 lugnut.....???? thats my definition of lazyness
@PsychopathicLlama just look at the way you talk dumbass nascar is far too boring you must have done everythign there is to fo in this world to sit down and watch that stuff and yes one lugnut cuz as if you havent noticed speed at the pits is crutial in the race, and if this stuff is too lazy for you, fatass redneck why dont you go give it a try see how "lazy" and "easy" this stuff is to do oh nd paddle shifters have double clutches for faster gear changes unlike your stupid nascar boats
@echaopalante6 im not saying anything is EASY to do...im saying its EASIER than nascar pit stops. and at least nascar "boats" actually look like real cars
dude thats pretty good but nascar has to deal with more lugs and they have to have a jack man. This pneumatic jack shit isnt in nascar so they actually have to train plus theres like 1/4 of the pit crew members out there and nascar cars are a lot heavier and im not a redneck im a well educated 18 year old that enjoys both sports and them some.
@FlSHRFun it dosent really mater how fast a car performs or handles, or how they drive, do you see f1 cars going 3 wide all the around a race track, no you dont. plus NASCAR cars are probably 3 times harder to drive than a formula one car.
@LukewMorgan um you have obviously no idea what you're talking about, those cars handle like shit, the only time they do that is at Daytona or Talladega, every other track they actually use the brake, and have more areo problems then these guys, and they do go on road courses, and they dont go single file the after the first lap, they dont hit a button to go pit road speed, they dont even know how fast they go in the car, they run there races twice as long. and im sure 43 beats 22 cars
@LukewMorgan i dont even live in the south, im almost in canada. and have you ever watched a nascar race, cause ive watched all forms of racing and nascar has the best racing
@FlSHRFun as opposed to this shit? in nascar, they can only have like 8 people over the wall at a time i think. AND they cant go over the wall untill there driver is in the box. there is a jackman, as opposed to this where the jack is automatic under the car. In this dumbass sport, you are extremely lucky to see a pass. in nascar they race 3 to 4 wide all day on some tracks. this sport is for pussys
@FlSHRFun NASCAR is better than F1 in the sense that it's more exciting, although it's pretty obvious that NASCAR takes skills that F1 drivers don't have. Take a look at Juan Pablo Montoya and how long it took him to race well on ovals. Quit being ignorant. Do your research.
@FlSHRFun How stupid are you? That's your defense? "LOL"? That's it? Come up with some evidence, say, an F1 driver that's been successful in NASCAR within three years. There isn't. Not one. I never said NASCAR "takes more skills", and your idiocy shows from that fact that you apparently didn't even read my comment correctly. I said NASCAR takes skills that F1 drivers don't have. It exists vice versa as well. I repeat. Do some research.
@Mickey2315 Yes, NASCAR takes skills F1 drivers don't have, and vise versa. No argument there.
If you read my original comment from over a year ago, you'd notice I said NASCAR couldn't keep up with F1 on a track. Can you prove me wrong there? Can a NASCAR race car beat an F1, or simply keep up? Even on an oval track, I doubt it.
Lastly, chill out and go take a shower or something.
@FlSHRFun Your original comment implicates the F1 drivers are better than NASCAR drivers. All I'm saying is that NASCAR drivers would own F1 drivers on an oval just like F1 drivers would own NASCAR drivers on an F1 course.
@danibol1985, sorry I don't know much about F1 but I would like to know why sometimes the drivers just spin over team members and accelerate while the fuel is still being filled? Is this pitstop so difficult to make? If yes, why? thank you.
when we look video like this, we think "it's easy".. but each member of team have day and day of work for to learn the same movement of other members..just this for me it's difficult...what you think?
@danibol1985, you're right I see this team is really performant, but what I want to know is why sometimes the drivers roll over a team member, I mean why they don't brake at the right time sometimes? Is their engine connected to a computer which is in it's team's hands? Thanks.
no no...all is under control of the driver..the computers of the team it used only for to look the parameters (for example temperature of the engine..)..therefore if the driver don't brake sometimes is only for his error..
how much is it for a seat with that view

i think nascar will die some day, it doesn't resemble anything with a 2010 car, carburators, what a laugh.

how can it be gay if its the biggest motorsport in the world, and it generates more a year. I tell whats gay about nascar is how they go around in circles, thats no skill, i could probably do that and im only 16 who legally isn't qualified to drive a car in the UK yet. Not to mention a f1 car would outdrag a nascar easily, you people who go to the grandstands to watch cars in a circle, sheeze, you lot all look like mugs on the television coverage i tell you
beyblader10171 1 year ago 33
@beyblader10171 Have you tried driving those cars? Then you wouldn't know whether it's easy or not. Raikkonen's best finish is 15 and I'm sure he's a much better driver then you. So clearly, there is some skill involved. I don't even like NASCAR it's boring to watch, but a true racing fan appreciates the sport in all forms.
RFresh41 7 months ago
@beyblader10171 nascar drivers dont just drive in circles they have road courses too theres about 5 of them including montreal a track i belive f1 races at too

@yorchreloaded ferrari had a special system with lights. so that if everything was okay, the light turned from red to green and Felipe and Kimi were able to go! But the system didnt work so well xD thats why Felipe drove away with the fuel installation in Singapore 2008 ;)

@92tbruck
you fail, nascar fails, stupid redneck sport, and not to mention you go around in circles, how pathetic
beyblader10171 1 year ago
NASCAR is nothing compared to f1 for starters NASCAR just involves making left turns in most tracks(all but one i think) and f1 tracks are more complex...the best reason I have that f1 is waaaay better are the girls have you seen the girls that go to the races, those are women not like the red necks that go to NASCAR races

nascar harder to drive than an F1 car....... haha. you have no idea. do nascar have 15-20 corners pulling 4 to 5 G in 80% of them. no. even something like formula renault would be harder than nascar
Runningonempty3 1 year ago 3
@Runningonempty3 yes but F1 cars are more technologicly advanced, take the front wing off then watch them hit those corners
mxmayhem 1 year ago
@mxmayhem
yeah and thats what makes them so much harder to drive.
Runningonempty3 1 year ago
NASCAR is the worst form of motorsport,i mean seriously, LeMons is more entertaining.....anyway...F1 is great,GTs are the best!!!

Nascrap takes no skill what so ever, it's some oversized lazy rednecks that think there all that cause they can turn left for an hour. While Formula 1 is the real deal and i don't care how many lug nuts you have on a Nascrap, itle never be as good, fast, and entertaining as formula 1 !
AlexGabriann 1 year ago 12
@AlexGabriann F1 faster and better racing, but Nascar as better crashes in my view
hypersaiyangoku 1 year ago
@hypersaiyangoku yes, crashes make the F1 races interesting but if you watch Nascrap only cause it has alot of "crashes" then thats almost as pathetic as the sport.
AlexGabriann 1 year ago 3
@AlexGabriann Maybe, but there is a big up side to them crashing, when they crash researchers will use that crash data to help make our road cars safer,
hypersaiyangoku 1 year ago
@AlexGabriann Exactly. My coworker said exactly that. He says he loves NASCAR for the crashes and for the drama between drivers. NASCAR fans might as well watch soap operas. Yawn. NASCAR is joke.
angelfuree 1 year ago
@AlexGabriann have to agree with that, but it does take some skill. not nearly as much, but some.
Indica1987 1 year ago
@AlexGabriann HOW THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT ENTERTAINING!?!?!....and why is it that everyone who is a redneck is fat and lazy....if rednecks were lazy, then why does nascar have a clutch...a shifter instead of gay paddles shifters.....f1 has buttons to do everything for em, like jacking the car up to change tires, only having 1 lugnut.....???? thats my definition of lazyness
PsychopathicLlama 1 year ago
@PsychopathicLlama actually everything on an f1 car is the epitome of engineering prowess and also speed and balance.
AtoZ0to9123456 1 year ago
@PsychopathicLlama just look at the way you talk dumbass nascar is far too boring you must have done everythign there is to fo in this world to sit down and watch that stuff and yes one lugnut cuz as if you havent noticed speed at the pits is crutial in the race, and if this stuff is too lazy for you, fatass redneck why dont you go give it a try see how "lazy" and "easy" this stuff is to do oh nd paddle shifters have double clutches for faster gear changes unlike your stupid nascar boats
echaopalante6 1 year ago
@echaopalante6 im not saying anything is EASY to do...im saying its EASIER than nascar pit stops. and at least nascar "boats" actually look like real cars

dude thats pretty good but nascar has to deal with more lugs and they have to have a jack man. This pneumatic jack shit isnt in nascar so they actually have to train plus theres like 1/4 of the pit crew members out there and nascar cars are a lot heavier and im not a redneck im a well educated 18 year old that enjoys both sports and them some.
bobtheswan92 2 years ago
I read in the comments people talking about NASCAR, well don't waste my time with this kind of SH|T.
If Michael "The Full Package" Schumacher isn't in a racing series, then it is worthless.
Plus too many NASCAR drivers are fat and don't have good abs and arse.
SexySeanVALEN 2 years ago
lol nascar is pretty good. i think the problem is with the people that watch it. it is mainly for the low income red neck sorts....
F1, well that is the opposite....

@FlSHRFun Silly remark. I count 26 people over the wall here. NASCAR only allows 5.
gusmahler 2 years ago
Fine... lets see NASCAR keep up with F1 on the track.
Wait, NASCAR only makes left turns.
That requires skills.
FlSHRFun 2 years ago 166
@FlSHRFun it dosent really mater how fast a car performs or handles, or how they drive, do you see f1 cars going 3 wide all the around a race track, no you dont. plus NASCAR cars are probably 3 times harder to drive than a formula one car.
mxmayhem 1 year ago

LukewMorgan 1 year ago
@mxmayhem NASCAR 3 times harder to drive than F1? You, sir, are an idiot.
NASCAR = Keep right foot down, turn slightly left. They go a whole race only using the brake to stop in the pits. How hard is that?
LukewMorgan 1 year ago 2
@LukewMorgan um you have obviously no idea what you're talking about, those cars handle like shit, the only time they do that is at Daytona or Talladega, every other track they actually use the brake, and have more areo problems then these guys, and they do go on road courses, and they dont go single file the after the first lap, they dont hit a button to go pit road speed, they dont even know how fast they go in the car, they run there races twice as long. and im sure 43 beats 22 cars
mxmayhem 1 year ago
@mxmayhem Would you happen to be from or near Alabama?
LukewMorgan 1 year ago
@LukewMorgan i dont even live in the south, im almost in canada. and have you ever watched a nascar race, cause ive watched all forms of racing and nascar has the best racing
mxmayhem 1 year ago
@mxmayhem agreed, i think your extremely lucky if you happen to see someone passing on f1...and if you blink, your screwed
PsychopathicLlama 1 year ago
@FlSHRFun well indy is awesome but they only make left turns
onealhart54 1 year ago
@FlSHRFun as opposed to this shit? in nascar, they can only have like 8 people over the wall at a time i think. AND they cant go over the wall untill there driver is in the box. there is a jackman, as opposed to this where the jack is automatic under the car. In this dumbass sport, you are extremely lucky to see a pass. in nascar they race 3 to 4 wide all day on some tracks. this sport is for pussys
PsychopathicLlama 1 year ago
@FlSHRFun good on ya mate :) with ya all the way :)

mathias921 11 months ago
@FlSHRFun NASCAR is better than F1 in the sense that it's more exciting, although it's pretty obvious that NASCAR takes skills that F1 drivers don't have. Take a look at Juan Pablo Montoya and how long it took him to race well on ovals. Quit being ignorant. Do your research.
Mickey2315 11 months ago
@Mickey2315 NASCAR takes more skills? LOL, must be so hard racing on that oval.
Quit being so ignorant, and do your own research.
FlSHRFun 11 months ago
@FlSHRFun How stupid are you? That's your defense? "LOL"? That's it? Come up with some evidence, say, an F1 driver that's been successful in NASCAR within three years. There isn't. Not one. I never said NASCAR "takes more skills", and your idiocy shows from that fact that you apparently didn't even read my comment correctly. I said NASCAR takes skills that F1 drivers don't have. It exists vice versa as well. I repeat. Do some research.
Mickey2315 11 months ago
@Mickey2315 Yes, NASCAR takes skills F1 drivers don't have, and vise versa. No argument there.
If you read my original comment from over a year ago, you'd notice I said NASCAR couldn't keep up with F1 on a track. Can you prove me wrong there? Can a NASCAR race car beat an F1, or simply keep up? Even on an oval track, I doubt it.
Lastly, chill out and go take a shower or something.
You seem to have some sand in your vagina.
FlSHRFun 11 months ago
@FlSHRFun Your original comment implicates the F1 drivers are better than NASCAR drivers. All I'm saying is that NASCAR drivers would own F1 drivers on an oval just like F1 drivers would own NASCAR drivers on an F1 course.
Mickey2315 11 months ago
Its actually 7.

danibol1985 2 years ago
@danibol1985, sorry I don't know much about F1 but I would like to know why sometimes the drivers just spin over team members and accelerate while the fuel is still being filled? Is this pitstop so difficult to make? If yes, why? thank you.
wolftch 2 years ago
when we look video like this, we think "it's easy".. but each member of team have day and day of work for to learn the same movement of other members..just this for me it's difficult...what you think?
danibol1985 2 years ago
@danibol1985, you're right I see this team is really performant, but what I want to know is why sometimes the drivers roll over a team member, I mean why they don't brake at the right time sometimes? Is their engine connected to a computer which is in it's team's hands? Thanks.
wolftch 2 years ago
no no...all is under control of the driver..the computers of the team it used only for to look the parameters (for example temperature of the engine..)..therefore if the driver don't brake sometimes is only for his error..

@danibol1985, ah ok I understand now. Thank you for the information :D Bye
