As outstanding a performance as this is, I would love to them again with their first panorama victory in 1973. They just dominated all-comers. I believe that year Despers played Rainorama too and got it handed to them.

I remember this like it was yesterday. I was in Love and her name was Leslie. She played with AllStars this year and was truly a woman on the bass as that was the pan she played. I was so happy just being in the pan yard and listening to her play during rehearsals and then to be there at the Panorama finals as they won was the best feeling of all. A true Woman On the Bass.

This was truly one of if not the best interpretation of a calypso for panorama. I love this so much. After all these years I'm never tired of listening to my all time favorite steelband "All Stars" play "Woman on the Bass". A True Classic.

I must admit that this arrangement of "Scrunter's" "Woman on the Bass" is the greatest "Panorama" musical arrangement of all time. It is the Authorized Version. This masterpiece must be preserved for future generations to analyze and comment on. I suggest Mr. Edwards be inducted into the Steel-band Hall of Fame, due to his outstanding musical contribution to our indigenous art-form. Give him his roses while he can still smell them....

its amazing the difference in look with the band the year after, in 80 that played a Scrunter tune, they looked like a scrunting band but sounded their weight in gold maybe thats why the next year their basses were painted in gold, and to belive there are players from this video who are still playing in the band currently

it is interesting to note that between this version and the 2007 version there is such a noticable difference in the way the pans are tuned. this one sounds better - the sounds are more pure.
