most of the property was sold to developers and what do they care about beauty and nature...they'll build on anything even uprooting forests and what they can't build on they'll use as a selling point....'overlooking ponds' and 'scenic'.
Thank you very much for uploading this video. I'm truly shocked.
Miniature Village is such a nostalgic memory. I use to go there a lot when I was a kid. The trains, buildings and the amusement park were the best parts. I even have a picture of me and my brother on the bridge at 2:28, when I was 3. Now everything is rotting in a warehouse.
I'm going to visit this place one time. It would make a good documentary.
How they could let this go to waste is beyond me. So many enjoyed it. It was wonderful for the community. This is a tragic loss of all the artistry. It should be restored.
@butterflybluelu i think it has something to do with the fact that the officials of whitby (whom ever they are) dont care about the people who live here they dont care that theres no work wich if i may add cullen gardens EMPLOYED people and was literally the only nice part of whitby but the officials dont want to pay property tax or maintenance fees theyd rather spend our money on a concrete form downtown whitby that serves NO purpose but probably costs alot
Thank you for posting this, I haven't been there since 1999-2000 when my grand mother would take us there. It wasn't till recently I wondered what had happened to the place, and after watching your video I am very sad to see what has become of that place. Its a shame they couldn't keep the village or even the trains (my favorite part) up and running. Again thanks for posting this.
I used to go there all the time as child. I am in tears to find out. it's all gone. :(

@nannyrobina We have suburban sprawl to blame. I wish people would stop supporting car centric neighbourhoods. A backyard shouldn't be worth this.
