  • very very facinating

  • cool ! it made me think of the night at the museum..

  • 3:09 The sword sounds are actually from those Star Wars swords that make the same sounds when u push the button

  • I actually took the sword sounds from the game Warcraft 2. I guess there's a chance that they use the same recordings as the toy company.

  • @MrFerder I KNEW! those sword sounds sounded familiar haha. I love WC2

  • what are the chances that you make this before night at the museum came out.

  • Well this was made a couple of years prior to Night at the Museum's release, but before I made it there was an IMAX movie released called Back to the Cretaceous that was part of the inspiration (at least the dinosaur part anyway) and there is also a kids book about a museum coming to life (I've never read it). So I guess it's an idea that's been around for a while. I agree that the similarities between Night at the Museum and my film are uncanny though.

  • it is night at the museum

  • okay

  • it is like the night at the museam

  • @polarlegoboy Yes, I know! I made this a couple of years before that came out so I was pretty surprised at the similarities.

  • wooow that was like wow i dont see wuts so great about it theres not even talking u suck if it took u 5 months jake makes them in days maybe even hours lol and yea this was really lame

  • Who is Jake?

  • I loved this brickfilm, nice job man!

  • thats really funny!!!

  • this was made in 5 months? how did you keep the lighting to stay the same? i can't keep light right for 5 minutets. :( p.s. what is your camera?

  • I used an old logitech webcam for the first part (before the magic happens) and an old analog Sony camcorder (with a analog-to-digital converter) for the rest. The Sony camera had automatic colour-balancing so that kept all the lighting looking the same. I was working on the film on and off for the five months, so I would usually do a big chunk at a time.

  • dat waz coolio

  • Hi, MrFender, but where did you get that movie theater opening animation?

  • MrFerder, i mean.

  • lmfao

  • where did you get the footstep sfx from?

  • THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE

  • the fighting sounds at 3:09 are they from warcraft 2? and what kind of stop motion program do you use

  • Woah, good ear. Yes, the sounds are Warcraft. I used Anasazi Stop Motion Animator to capture the frames.

  • one of the best vids on here period.

  • wow, that was terrific, i loved it!!!!!!

  • how do u make them go fast like that?

mine is slow when i made it lol

  • It was shot at 15 frames-per-second using a program specifically for stop-motion animation.

  • You do it with the same thingamabob* as I do! Do you use a Lego Camera too? Watch my videos!

    *software

  • That rocked bigtime!

    Great!

  • harry potter music?

  • Yes. It's "Hedwig's Theme" by John Williams from the first Harry Potter movie.

  • love it! absolutely love it

  • looks like iut should be a video game lol

  • love the music

  • Awesome! I love how everything comes to life at night(Night At The Muesem reference)!

I am thinking about making my own stop-motion lego vids. to y'know...

  • Thanks. I made this in 2004 (a couple of years before Night at the Museum came out). It's amazing how similar they are though.

Good luck with the animating. Make sure use a good program that'll let you have smooth animation.

  • how did u do the flash?

  • With a flashlight.

  • GREAT VID!

  • amazing

  • Heehee the person who composed the music to this was also called Johnathon Williams : )

  • Wow! What editing soft you use? WMM? Or Premiere Elements/Pro? That was cool. I have too lego films, but these are no cool.... But I have one under production...

I buy Premire Elements today ;)

  • very, very cool. 5 stars! how did you do the camera flash?

  • I think I used a flash-light. the sound-effect also helps sell the illusion.

  • cool!!

  • It couldn't be because u added it this year and they started planing and filming in '06....

    BUT A GOOD STOP MOTION!!

  • awsome vid man...by the way...what program u use and how did u do that cannonball animation????

  • I used several different programs (like one for animating, and one for editing). The digital effects were created by a CG artist from Liverpool named Mathew (it says so in the credits) and I still have no idea how he did them.

  • I love this movie! Everything was REALLY good! You are one of the few good lego movie makers on YouTube. Way to go!

  • haha i loved it!

  • that was cool , how did you do the intro and the outro with the movie cinema scenes? 3D?

  • I can't take credit for creating either of those shots (in fact I wish I had left them off the video before uploading it here). It was created using computer animation though.

  • i love stop motion legos

  • What program did you use¿?¿?

Where did you get the sound effects like walking steps, the dinosaur, .....

  • GREAT!

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome! I saw this movie a year ago... 5/5
