  • Dixie is a troll.

  • It cannot be debunked as an illusion because it is not,. we have also measured it, used a tilt botlle which shows liquid inside of it filling up the left side of the bottle only as it rolled up the hill, and we measured by inches and depth, it is a fact that is gravitational and proved, so any one have anything else to say wil only be making fools out of yourselves with your comments, although I do respect your opinons even if they are negative. you are entitled to your own opinion.

  • @dixiedoodleification You're a paranormal investigator, and you're warning other people about making fools of themselves? Bold.

  • All of you that are nay sayers have never been to a gravity hill. The one in Sylmar is located right near a cemetery where we have done lockdowns being a ghost hunter as well as A Private Investigator. It is real and absolutely NOTHING to do with surroundings or trees or anything of the sort. So please before you make nasty commednts, go to one of the hills, they are all over the world and they really do defy gravity. my 4x4 rolled backwards, tennis balls, a coke can all rolled backwards.

  • Actually alot of people have been to many gravity hills around the world like myself since I am a Private Investigator as well as fully established, licensed, paanormal investigator that has worked the Ghost Adventures team, Zak, Aaron, and Nick and have caught dozens of EVP's from Sylmar's Gravity Hill and have been documented and I still have them to this day. I know its real the guys from Ghost Adventures know it is real and the graveyard always adds excitement to our lockdowns.

  • We have in Romania more place like this.

  • we have in colorado pretty crazy

  • Noooooo it looks like it is going up but if u look at it with a tall ruler it gose down hill it's eye defying

  • We have one in Wyoming :D

  • idk about anyone else but when i go this summer im going to bring a level. but as of right now that looks uphill ahaha.

  • Could the areas of this phenomena be demonstrating what miles of silica just below the surface does with gravity? The affect of a Non-Uniform density of materials on the surround area below the surface? A porous volcanic rock that is less dense than the earth may be affecting gravity on the sides of these hills. e.g. A steep angled continental shelf that is more dense than silica under the hills of this phenomenon could be the answer to this problem.

  • @calpurniuspeso It's just an optical illusion made by the surrounding environment.

  • @t3thethird no its not you retard its real optical illusion... dumbass

  • @EMINEMk9killer That's what I said, read my sentence.

  • @t3thethird its not a optical illuision i meant.. no its not you retard its real., optical illusion,,... dumbass

  • @EMINEMk9killer It is an optical illusion, just read an article on it.

  • @t3thethird its not an optical illusion your a retart... thers no moving fucken mountains alright... colorado has a bunch of mountains.. and it works with cars. not a illusion

  • @EMINEMk9killer It's a downhill slope that looks like an uphill slope because of the surroundings. -.- And as I said, READ AN ARTICLE ON IT.

  • Eminemk9killer- It is NOT AN OPTICAL ILLUSION. i am drom Sylmar and have been there 1,000's of times. It is better to remain quiet then to open your pie hole and remove all doubt. GVet your facts straight or go there. And do not be so quick to judge. I am a paranormal investigator and I know the story of the graveyard up there and have worked with the crew of Ghost Adventures, Zak, Aaron, and Nick and have done EVP work there. So just keep reading the trash you are reading, all fabrication

  • @t3thethird Eminem is an idiot and does not know anything about cemeteries and boundaries, maybe he will go to Gravity Hill someday in Sylmar, then he can shut his mouth once and for all. Is not an optical illusion. Try walking on the road. Going uphill is not an illuision when you are actually walking up the hill moron.

  • there are some 4-5 in Greece

  • we got one in san antonio tx

  • seems the obvious way to debunk the "supernatural" property of these things is to just bring a yo-yo and hold it unrolled and see which direction it points. that's where gravity is pointing. the discrepancy then is just the strange way the land and trees are oriented.

  • Does anyone remember "Roadside Picnic" novel or "Stalker" games? :D

  • There are 2 in California and one that i know of in Wyoming near Jackson Hole. And no, it's not an illusion, i know people who've seen it. It's weird but cool they say. Because you're standing on what you know is level ground but then you're leaning over to stand what is apparently straight up.

  • I wonder what happens if you jump..

  • this is vortex energy. research ley lines or vortex's

  • @ashleyestey18 vortex energy is a bunch of crap. A gravity hill is an optical illusion.

How about you google "gravity hill" and read the first result that comes back you dumbass

  • guys next time u go bring a level i went to the magnetic hill in moncton and i placed a level on it and the bubble went the oppisite direction so the wil went up to the left and so did the bubble.. i was veary confused

  • Kinda like the ramp the ski jumper goes up on his way DOWN a hill, I bet you could roll a can up that hill too, just in your case terrain block your view how how it works. So sorry no mystery there

  • @13sam31 Are you retarded? You can't ski UP a hill unless you went down a bigger slope before......

  • is there one close to holland? (my country) :D

  • thumbs up if you were looking for the one in prosser

  • isnt this an optical allusion???

  • Why u so stupid

  • I have done this with a car and was thinking that it was an optical illusion .... but then put my head on the ground and saw nothing but the sky up the hill ... so the hill was facing up ???????????????

  • its like that Chef Boyardee Commercial!

  • i just saw waste of beer!

  • its an optical illusion......you know, or not...lol

  • I saw simmilar in Poland. It really makes u think that it's going up :D

  • 0:55 If they would have kept playing it a little longer the pizza boy would come into screen chasing his car

  • 0:47 where the hell did he come from?

  • Those of you who say its an optical illusion are wrong. i have been on it, and before going up, i got in a ditch and looked at the angle, Without a doubt, its going uphill.

  • @JustLetMeDie13 you're right. it's clearly a cute way of annulling the entirety of all scientific progress by opposing rational thought. Regardless of what you think - you are wrong.

  • @jardog7 Have You even ever been on it?

  • this was proven to be an optical illusion on tv from myth busters , when they did a text it showed the hill actullis gonig down not up

  • so i could ride my skateboard up the hill like nothing?

  • That's awesome how everyone is playing with the hill at the same time lol

  • haha...u pushed the tin can

  • @jason123456789210 it cnt be an optical illusion cuz at the end of the video the car in the background seems to be coming downhill and the horizon is at a curve

  • that's because there's an optical illusion that makes the downhill direction look like the uphill direction.

  • GRAVITY CAR

  • This videos is real but the hills SEEM to be goin uphill its just an optical illusion :)

  • this stuff is real, ive done this in different places around the country.

  • gravity hills are real - i was on one in Trinidad driving over the mountain to Maracas Beach. we stopped the car, put it in neutral, and rolled uphill. no joke.

  • Its an optical illusion, and if you put baby powder on the windows and see so called "hand prints" Those are old hand prints of yours not "children" hand prints

  • HAX

  • gravity hills are real... there's one in Toyos, Honduras :)

  • Ive been 2 the one in PA. its pretty cool. It pulled our jeep slowly up the hill

  • Simply put optical illusions are fuckin awsome

  • wow

  • to whoever thinks this is fake:

you guys r fckn retarded! ive been to 2 gravity hills, one in sylmar and one in pasadena in So-Cal and it might be an optical illusion but it sure as hell isnt a camera trick or video editing.

@Chronicticla u hear the engine cuz u have 2 put the car in nuteral and rev it, cuz think about how much the car would have 2 b pulled if it was dead wieght rather then a slight push of momentum

  • @theshantanator Ive been to the pasadena one too. It's legit!

  • FAIL. 00:50 YOU CAN HEAR THE CARS ENGINE. XDDDDD

  • dud these things are real. check one out and see for yourself

  • my sisters friend would play a prank on us we would drive to this so called "gravity hill" at night go all the way up (we turn the lights off so you cant see him drive up) and then he puts it in neutral and as it roles down we think its going up

  • One simple answer, if it was real, we would already know about it.

  • car in reverse, soda going down hill. camera trick by tilling a little. nice try kids

  • @sbays23 No, actually. Gravity hills are very real things, you can read more about them on Wikipedia. There's a perfectly logical (and interesting) explanation.

  • @sbays23 The car's not in reverse, it's in netural. It's not tilting the camera either kid. But you are right, the soda is going down hill, just the illusion is that it appears to be going up. On a good gravity hill, the hill is a lot steeper, and has a better illusion. But you're a troll BTW

  • How could the soda being pored be played in reverse? It can't be. It would already have to be poured and it would be totally noticeable.

  • It might be a mistake of eyes and the climb slope be actually a downward slope.

There are some similar roads also in Japan.

  • gravity hill is 100% real my mom takes me on the one in Utah when ever i go to the doctors. and she literally sits there just steering the van not touching the gas petal at all and that cruiser thing is off. THIS IS NOT A FAKE!!!!!!!

  • ive been to the one in solmar CA

  • it's not an illusion dumb ass, the Fgravity from atmospere is being slightly reflected by the Ngravity coming from earth.

  • If it was an actual downhill, the cans momentum would increase as it rolled down the hill. It does not. Its pulled uphill at a steady rate.

  • Do you mean Jeju (Cheju)? There is no "Chenju" in Korea.

  • The last clip is being played backwards. As evidenced by the car driving backwards with its blinker on.

  • @CeruleanFilms I dont think it is, cause you can still see where the first puddle is :)

  • @CeruleanFilms no, its not played back words, the person in the car is probably just coasting backwards up the hill, and i stopped the video as soon as he pulled the can up, and the can is up but u can see the pop is still falling, therefore its not being played backwards, and these places are real, i know ppl thats been to one in west Virginia

  • if anyone thinks this is reversed gravity or some other dumb crap has watched way too many movies

  • @minkis39 or is too religious watch?NR=1&v=UBU1_kCCoaE

  • it is an optical illusion.

i live right by the one in PA.

    gravity isn't reversed

    its just perspective and perception.

you appear to be going uphill but your not.

    gravity can't be reversed.

  • haha hell no this aint an optical illusion!! its reall we hae one here in Salt lake, Utah!!

  • that car is gettin smashed by the upcomin one... muuuahahahah :P

  • its an illusion ;)

  • Theres on in portage indiana!!!! i went there acouple weeks ago.

  • THERE IS ONE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA INSIDE ROSE HILLS CEMETERY..ITS THE REAL DEAL ITS NO ILLUSION.........

  • Comment removed

  • gravity hills are glitches in the matrix

  • @CerebralArtery deja vu

  • Theres one here in Utah I NEED to go on it.

  • i think they rewinded the camera.

  • so if u run up the hill..will you fall on your face?

  • @mexdawg617 no but it will feel like you are running downhill not up

  • Actually to those people who think this is an illusion it's not. I've been to the one in Guatemala and it does happen. I swear to you it is no illusion. It's actually pretty amazing haha. There's also one in Yucaipa, ca. And I am visiting that site thi Thursday. :)

  • @TheLiz1318 It is an illusion dumbass

  • lol some people are soo stupid its funny.... its an illusion, the surrounding landscape just makes the road look up hill, and the camera itself is slightly slanted.

  • lol wierd

  • i sooo whant to roll down that hill to see what happens

  • Don't pour out good beer!

  • This looks like an illusion.

But how do you illusionize a liquid in the middle of the road?

  • @SushyLok its real. Dnt know why, but its real and possible

  • Not sure if this is fake or not but right here in NH close to where I live is a "Gravity hill". Its the weirdest thing. Its at the bottom of 2 hills. I was thinking of doing a video of it.

  • THERE IS ONE BY SANTA ROSA, CA.

  • Theres something like this near me. If you cut your car off in the street, no matter which way its facing, you will be pulled backwards. Theres no slant on the road either.

  • Just heard about these on Triple J with Dr Karl. It's an optical illusion, but it's a cool one.

  • @bersaba THE ONE IN SANTA ROSA IS NOT AN ILLUSION. I STAYED IN THE CAR AND ON A DECLINE MY CAR MOVED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION- FOR REAL-. I OPENED THE CAR DOOR AND SAW THE ROAD MOVING BY. NOT FAKE AT ALL. I WAS AMAZED.

  • @ammasbabi

Option 1: You were looking at an optical illusion.

Option 2: There exists on the world places where suddenly gravity works in weird ways, and it hasn't made international news (or any?).

    Option 3: You're a troll.

I'm leaning towards 3, because I doubt anyone is dumb enough to believe option 2.

  • @ammasbabi

It is an illusion in that the incline isnt sufficient to feel in any noticable way, and because of the surrounding landscape the horizon isnt visible as a point of reference,

  • so running down the gravity hill is like running up a normal hill...?

  • there is one in my home state Washington

  • Theres one in halifax

  • I just found out about these from the podcast, 'Skeptics with a K'. I really want to go to one. Seems like one of the most fascinating optical illusions around

  • optical ilussion, is easy : you can´t see the real horizont then when you stay there and put a ball , you see the ball go up,but another person is on real horizont see the ball down

  • amazing

  • there's one in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on an old Slave hanging road

  • yea, i live very close to the one in lewisberry, PA.

  • There's one on nason street in moreno valley california!!!!!

  • We've got one in Yucaipa too, pretty close to yours

  • The watchers :O

  • These hills are amazing. There's a gravity hill 5 minutes from where I live in Sun Valley, California.

  • i just need too see it for myself. wheres sun vlaley at in cal

  • I thought it was sun valley but aparently it's near sylmar. you can google hideaway bar & grill and gravity hill is on that same street called kagel canyon.

  • ha . its funny how some people actually think its real and not an optical illusion

  • it is real, but there is a complicated scientic theory to it

  • This is not an optical illusion. There are a lot of "gravity hills" around the world. There's one in Sun Valley, California literally 5 minutes from where I live. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself.

  • No, it's a dillusion!

  • There used to be an old drag strip in Florida some where around Tampa. It looked as if it was going downhill, but it was perfectly level the whole 1/4 mile. A very cool illusion.

  • theres one of these in the cemetary of my town

  • its just an optical illusion. it really is downhill.

  • This is real.. There is on in Livermore,ca.. It's Hellas weird.

  • this is real i been on one too theres one in cali in tha city of moreno valley on nason street tha hill over tha 60 freeway its crazy n its not an optical illision ! its a trip

  • Actually an optical illusion is exactly what it is...

  • @bmill05 Yep,it was on Fact or Faked:Paranormal Files

  • @bmill05

i dont think its an optical illusion

i bought a book several years ago. prob 3 idk cant remember but this hill was mentioned that gravity is reveresed and water flows up.. So i dnt think its an optical illusion.

  • @bmill05 no thats bullshit, i and few instructors can vouch for this... i would know, i live in Cali

  • @Jessethesk8er

Instructors in what? Special ed? You won't find any person who knows what the hell they're talking about that will say this is anything other than an illusion due to a shallow gradient and some deceptive layout of the landscape to give this illusion. Gravity doesn't suddenly shift directions.

  • @bmill05 lol don't bother with this moron! Anyone who spells "skater" with an 8 is a blockhead

  • @bmill05 no it really does go uphill, ive been on the one in pasadena

  • its true wankaz ive bin to one ........

and it does work go to hang mans hill u will see 4 yourself !

  • Indeed it is just an optical illusion.

  • If somebody laid a turd there, I guess it would roll uphill instead.

  • jesus ! :))

  • ahaha

that dominoes guy fucking around at 0:49

  • I don't buy it, because at 0:9 to 0:12 it zooms in on some people's feet and by the angle they are standing at, you can tell the camera isn't level. They are standing at an "angle" that indicates which way "up" really is. It's about 5 degress angled off center. So the slope really is slightly downhill, but the camera is tilted to make it look slightly uphill. It's a fake illusion, like these other "gravity hill" videos.

  • youve never been to one i take it.... not a camera illusion its an illusion with surrounding slope

  • I have been to one. The camera operator, being taken in by the illusion, holds the camera at an angle, just like I described. The proof the camera is at an angle is the fact that people are not vertical in the frame. When I was at one in person, the sense of touch gave my brain additional input that the camera does not. That additional input breaks the illusion. I was seeing the correct interpretation - to my brain the trees looked tilted and gravity seemed normal.

  • (while using a camera cheats a little bit by removing some of the senses and thus enhancing the illusion. While standing there, my feet felt which way gravity really was, which way the slope really was angled, and fed that data to my brain and thus I didn't experience any illusion. I could tell the trees were tilted and the people were vertical. In the video it looks like the trees are vertical and the people are tilted, because the sense of touch is missing.)

  • Even if this video is a fake, it doesn't void the premise of a "gravity hill".

All gravity hills are illusions...Maybe this video does a bad job portraying it, but it doesn't make gravity hills non-existent, or fake.

  • What I mean is that the illusion itself doesn't work. The sight of the people standing makes my brain interpret the terrain correctly (i.e. I see the trees as being tilted at a funny angle, which they are). Interpreting the terrain correctly (that the trees are not straight up) makes the illusion fail to appear and makes the people look like they've all gone mad as they huddle around making a big deal out of a ball rolling down the road in a way that looks perfectly normal.

  • In other words, other people claim they see vertical trees and a wonky slope, and I don't see that. I see a normal slope and wonky trees so the alleged illusion fails to manifest in my brain. My senses aren't fooled by it, which makes the people look really really silly when they're standing around being amazed by normal objects rolling normally down a normal-looking slope - at least that's how it looks every time I see it.

  • Well, first off...The camera man sucks, lol.

Also, if you know how it's done--which most of the people who're smart enough to comprehend it--it doesn't tend to work out that well for them.

I don't really see it in this video, of the can rolling UP hill...But, since I know how it works, I know how the other people could think it's soooooo amazing. XD

  • I dunno why are people saying it's haunted.

  • My cousin told me about one thats in a cemetary! She's supposed to take me there, that would be creepy as hell!

  • Florida has one. It is a very cool illusion.

  • it is you dumb ass!!! google it

  • There is also one here in Michigan. It's in Rose City. Pretty cool illusion.

  • and in Braga, Portugal

  • Comment removed

  • there is one in the north of Romania

  • I just went to gravity hill in Pasadena, CA toady. it is a very cool optical illusion

  • near the end, the car is going backwards.

Is the "gravity" too strong for the car to go froward down the hill?

  • There is one in Aylesbury BUCKS UK off A41 Aston .. it is an optical illusion.. and in reality it is a downword slope. starnge but that is how it appears going upwards..

  • no the car is in neutral

  • there are also some in massachusetts

  • we now recently discovered one in barbados

  • We have a few of them in Ireland........ we call them magic hills.......i thought it was bullshit at first, but its true.

    Its an illusion

  • real...but optical illusion. topography map would help to determine its slope or uphill.

  • It's an optical illusion where the hill is slightly at a downhill slope but due to he surrounding landscape, it apears to be uphill.

  • fake XDXD

  • lol

  • boing
