Really, people are so opinionated. People choose certain DAW's on how they fit into their workflow. I personally use Ableton, I like the ability to continuously work, drop in hits, one shots, loops. Record on the fly and create an instant loop etc.... I personally don't think Logic is as good as people say, Sure it's powerful, has a nice clean sound to it, but I think the interface is to crowded and compared to Ableton the way you apply plugins is to clunky, same as many other DAW's.

Paul White is quite possibly one of the most clued up blokes in the UK on music & associated technology, not just due to his position at SOS but because of his general age-related experiences as a musician.

I agree with what you're saying about Paul White he's obviously clued up in alot of things (but not everything) as editor of SOS. I can tell he hasn't got a clue about Ableton or that controller and you're starstruck if you cant see that.
