I have never had a problem with my tree other then one one light bulb burns out and the whole thing goes down. Now I use LEDs so it's less of a problem. I have a fake tree but even then, I never leave the lights on when I'm not around or asleep, it's a bad idea. Glad you are OK, what happened anyway, it zap you and you pulled the tree over?

Oh and by the way, your tree needs a train, I X-Mass tree just isn't compete without one. And nail your stand to some plywood, it wont fall over then.
