Yeah, I perfectly understand what you meant :) It's all about playing with proportions and shapes. Here, the designers still need some more work, in order to achieve proper supercar look.

I don't understand why, if he has the ability and know-how to build his own engines, why he's going to source one from an existing manufacturer. People will now think it's just another kit car supercar like the rest. Don't get me wrong though, loving the idea of an Australian supercar. Loving this car.

@PaulieLDP because it's cheaper... tooling, factory, design/testing - all cost bucketloads, if you can get an already tried&tested engine that suits your use, you would.

It's like TVR's switching to box V8's rather than using Al Melling's engines. Al Melling is THE engine god of the world but Smolenski knew he had to cut costs to keep TVR viable so opted for out of the box engines..

One thing JOSS did from what I remember, was have the gearbox custom-made which is a better place to spend money

@PaulieLDP Pagani, Ascari, Gumpert, Saleen, Tramontana, Arash, Hennessey, Leblanc, HTT, Lotus, McLaren F1, Mosler, Noble, Fenix, Rossion, Spyker, Transtar, Zenvo all source their engine.

It costs a lot of money and skill to design and build your own engine. Why do it when there are manufacturers that already make great engines?

I love this car, I'm so excited for its release.

I'd love to see this thing on Top Gear (especially UK) so we can see it go up against the likes of Zonda's, Enzo's etc.
