Trust me, I've owned HK, Sig, Kimber, Springfield, S&W, FNH, Walther, Colt, Charter, Ruger, Kel-Tec and Para. I've owned the Glock 19, 21SF, 23, 26, 27, and 36SF. Just bought a Glock 17 and I'm here to tell you; this is the most comfortable, accurate and enjoyable pistol I've ever shot! This gun is amazing!! I love buying, trading and selling guns, but this one WILL NOT EVER GO. I was very fortunate to find it in the very rare O.D. Green (it's been discontinued). It is truly the AK of pistols.
austrian army wanted it to be made in austria.... maybe thats what we should do here.... AMERICAN MILITARY .....AMERICAN GUN MAKER/ MADE HER IN THE USA!!! PERIOD!
nice review, very imformative. Almost every review I have watched is either to little information or just what someone else thinks about their glocks, nobody ever tells the actual gun facts, like I never knew about all of the internal lock & safety's & I actually own 3 glocks also, lol. I have a 17, 19 & 26... very nice review bro..
yeah them springfield xd guys like my nieghbor always hating on glock when it's the same fuckin design...glock is bcon and xd are imitation bacon with an extra safety lol morons!!!
Can anyone please guide me as far as what gun i should buy for personal protection. I know nothing about guns. My neighborhood is getting a bunch of home burglaries and i think i better start thinking about for my safety. Please if anyone can help me out, i would want to buy a reliable and easy to shoot gun. Thank you.
@tmz90 Hi. I'm glad I found your comment. I'm ex mil, sergeant, and now a corrections officer. If you're in the market for home defense, the FIRST gun I suggest you but (for begginers) is a Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun. Max stopping power and max value. You don't even have to be (accurate) a good shot with a shotgun... the "point and click" of the gun world. The second gun I suggest would be this one, a Glock model 17 9mm. Buy hydrashock ammo for your Glock. You'll be more than safe. God bless.
@archangelmichael1978 All in all, you're looking at around a $1000 price tag, but it's the best home security system you'll ever get. No monthly costs, so it pays for itself over time, not to mention peace of mind. 12 gauge ammo is cheap and plentiful. 9mm isn't bad either. I'd also suggest you invest in dead bolt locks on all exterior doors. You can up that by going for dual dead bolts on outside doors. Buy motion sensor lights for your exterior doors. Combine that, with guns, and you are set!
I feel kinda silly to ask this, but I feel it's necessary. Besides the automatic round burst, if I were to get a semi-automatic 9mm, would it be a waste of my money if I also bought a machine pistol like a MAC-11?
do you have a class 3 license? if you don't, there is no way in hell you're getting a fully auto mac11. if you want just a pistol, the glock 17 is the way to go with a 32 round mag. the civilian mac11's don't hold a candle to a glock.
For 9mm I'm a Beretta man at heart. For my 25th birthday, I got a Glock 17. I absolutely love the pistol(lightweight, good sights, high mag capacity, easy to field strip, ergonomic grip), except its trigger pull. Maybe I'm just a metal-frame hair trigger fag, but I know it's worth the effort to master that Glock trigger pull.
Sorry for my noob question but, would it be safe for the Glock 17 to be dry fired? Not dry firing it everyday but once in awhile probably after cleaning or shooting.
@Legionnaire8888 you are required to dry fire a glock, you really cant damage any centerfire firearm by dry firing it unless its very old or the firing pen is made of a bad metal. so in short you wont hurt it if you sit there and dry fire it for hours.
I wish I picked up a 17 rather than my 26; I want a full size side arm. My back up weapon is a Ruger LCP and my Primary being an AK47. This is the system I think would run best for my needs. What are your thought on the Glock 26 vise the 17 ??
@Daniel53886 nope. im only a couple years older than you and i remember from the age of 8-15, i would always ask if it kicked hard. as long as you have a good grip and a good stance, youll be fine.keep both hands on it, one hand wrapped around the other and stretch your arms all the way out and you shouldnt have a single problem.
Ive only shot a Berreta 90Ttwo and a Glock 17...Glock 17 was AMAZING! great pistol! love the feeling of it and love the sound... really surprised me! by the way check out my video of the Glock 17 on my channel...it sucks! see for urself!
I love, love, love my Glock 17!!!! It was my first handgun purchase back in 1992. They drop test random guns from 100 feet, they bury them in mud, freeze them in ice and they always fire perfectly.... Thus the slogan "Glock Perfection" The true Tonka Toy of handguns! Plus, US models are made in the Smyrna, GA. plant. Very close to hometown for me.
R. Lee Ermy is a Glock Rep, and any gun worthy of "the Gunny's" endorsement is good enough for me.
you can shoot almost any gun underwater as long as the ammo is good and has nothing wrong with it and nothing is in the barrel or chamber besides the round
The Glock is not something you should give to a girlfriend or a beginner shooter and expect it to function. If you hold the gun with a very limp wrist it may cause a failure to cycle malfunctions. Just search "Glock Limp Wrist Test" on YouTube and you'll figure out what I mean.
@mj255ful both my pops and i bought one a couple weeks ago and we finally got time to go to the range and fire off some rounds. it did jam the first couple times when you put the mag in and pull back the slide to allow the first bullet to slip into the chamber. but i think that was because we were being to gentle with it. put the mag/clip in, pull back the slide and let it go by itself. that seemed to do the trick, no problems after that. great gun. impressive. i like it.

@pyr0mania106 Yes, I think the Glock is an excellent pistol for beginners. It's so simple. But even experienced shooting enjoy the reliability and accuracy. Thanks~
@sootch00 hey, i need advice im gonna get a gun for my birthday and im thinking about a glock 17 and a blugarian ak74 and im not sure, what is your opinions?
a glock will shoot any ammo you put in it, the only problem is with non jacketed lead rounds, the rifling is designed differently, and it grabs the bullet more, which would shave more lead off of a non jacked round, and it will start to deposit in the barrel, it will still cycle but after a while it may foul or effect accuracy, so any jacked round will work perfectly through a glock... glocks will fire hollow points no problem
Trust me, I've owned HK, Sig, Kimber, Springfield, S&W, FNH, Walther, Colt, Charter, Ruger, Kel-Tec and Para. I've owned the Glock 19, 21SF, 23, 26, 27, and 36SF. I just purchased a Glock 17C with the ported barrel and I love it. The simplicity, weight and function of it is great. Awesome review BTW!

@pyr0mania106 Yes, I think the Glock is an excellent pistol for beginners. It's so simple. But even experienced shooting enjoy the reliability and accuracy. Thanks~

great review, but i believe the whole barrel this is that they're not supposed to shoot non jacketed lead rounds.
Rubengt303 1 year ago
@Rubengt303 You're right. Lead bullets will build up in the rifling of the barrel of Glock pistols. Thanks~
sootch00 1 year ago
@Rubengt303 what do u mean non leaded? im new to this so im just curious.
can a glock shoot hollow points?
dreamz20091 1 year ago
a glock will shoot any ammo you put in it, the only problem is with non jacketed lead rounds, the rifling is designed differently, and it grabs the bullet more, which would shave more lead off of a non jacked round, and it will start to deposit in the barrel, it will still cycle but after a while it may foul or effect accuracy, so any jacked round will work perfectly through a glock... glocks will fire hollow points no problem
