that would be correct aside from the fact stevie wonder used a clavinet "c" model on that song :). i've noticed the similarities to the sound of the clavinet in these too.

Those are inlays, every 5 frets. On more vertical instruments ou can see all the way across the fret this way.

The sound and technique Don uses in this piece sound like the old D6 clavinets used in the seventies in tunes like Stevie Wonders "Superstition"
