@beatsiz Just look at the new genre of dubstep emerging - popstep as I call it. Dubstep got too popular too fast and now the mainstream industry is going to proceed to rape the genre. I fully agree.
@BarakaObama2012 Yes and no... Most "popular" Dubstep is simply the Electro/House kind of "brutal" Basslines and Synths. Think Borgore, Skrillex, and Downlink. Dubstep has been around for at least half a decade. Skrillex makes some wicked remixes like "Cinema" by Benny Benassi. Borgore is fun to listen to. Downlink is awful but once in a while it can't hurt.
@beatsiz You definitely got a point there I wish I could link an example of just which specific sub-genre I speak of but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
@BackTorqueKing Yep, the Dubstep kids (the younger generation that is, not being nasty there) have not experienced the raw 'darkness' of this period dnb... imo this is way darker than most of the "dark" dubstep.
On another note this baseline killed the cones on my 18" bins back in the day - worth it though ;)
