  • if you get 33 fps with 2 gpus how much do you get with 1?

  • its the most easy area in the game in this video . Other areas are more "heavy"

I have 8800GTS 512mb with 2.4Ghz 4gb ram 4-4-4-12 and at the heavy duty spots of the game my FPS drop to 12 FPS minimum 16-18FPS normal and 40-60FPS in the "easy" areas like the video.

Allthough its one of the best cards EVER according to PRICE - POWER section. 2011 And i still have this card and i play almost ALL new game in Very High-Ultra settings. Nvidia 8800GTS 512mb 4THEWIN!

  • would the game run at high settings for my computer?

    AMD AM3 Althon x 2 250 @ 3.0GHz Geforce 7025 Chipset,

    2GB DDR2

    64bit win 7

    8800GTS 512mb

    thanks

  • @leeteukfan

Lol. Perhaps medium-high on medium resolution. Your CPU is the major draw back. Hope this helps.

  • i have 8800gts 512 SLi and its crap on medium settings???? whats going on its driving me mental!

    please help

  • what are your other specs?

    Do you have 2 8800gts's?

  • I got athlon 6000+ @ OC'ed 3.5 ghz

    4gb ddr3 1333 mhz

    8800 GTX in SLI

I playing on very high (1680x1050) with

    min. 25 FPS

    average (about 35)

    max about 60-70.

    8800 series card still pwn!

  • Lol way to stare out at the sky and water the entire video. If that's all you're doing you should be getting even higher fps. Fucking noob.

  • Which one should I load first

  • I got this game and it has three cd I got the maximum edition which is the right CD? Please help.

  • Im with you he played around were there wasnt alot moving around, turn around and blow some stuff up shoot some people then we will see what types of frames you get.

  • I would recomend getting two 9800gtx+'s as they are only £115 in Britain. They are basically upgraded 8800gts 512's

  • They are upgraded 8800 Ultra's :D

  • hahahaha

the ultra has a differenct processor, and the 8800 GTS is G92,.... the ultra is G90

  • is it worth it to get 2 8800gts for sli mode

  • yes.

but if you can buy 2 9800GTX+ is even better, the prices are very low nowadays...

or buy a used 9800GX2 and a good power supply, and kick the crap out of those nip corean soldiers!

    LOL

    cheers

  • LOL... nice.. well when i asked that question the prices werent this cheap.. lol but ill look into it

    THANKS

  • get in the fuken jungle , thats so gay !!

  • are you using AF?

  • my laptop has an 8800gts, i run multiplayer on veryhigh without much of a problem, i have a higher chance of lagging because of poor wifi. does slowdown a bit in heavy battles, but then again its probably the high ping. a thing to keep in mind, the human eye sees at 30fps(if my professor is right), so worrying about keeping above a set mark like 40 or 50fps is pointless.

  • That's not true. The human eye can see at more than 300 fps, but at 60 fps it seems smooth, if there's motion blur, then about 30 fps is enough. Or like in cinemas 24 fps. 24 fps in cinemas seems smooth because of motion blur.

  • what version of drivers ur using?

  • Niiiiiiiice I run crysis in 1920 x 1200 slightly slow when i do though lol.

  • hey, why dont you turn around and show us your real fps. Looking at water raises it 15+ if not more. i highly doubt you have over thirty looking at a jungle

  • 8gb of ram? lol.

  • Isn't it in Crysis where SLI/CrossFire does not help very much?

  • Yeah, I bought another 8800 GTS, and my frame rate got up with 8 FPS xD

  • Do you know if there is any special place where fps goes really down or no?, if yes where and hoy many avg. fps did you get there?

  • I heard that 2 8800GTSs in SLI is faster than one 9800GX2 is this true?

  • yes

  • i have a error when i want to start playing i have this error "configuration side-to-side" what can i do i desinstal 2 time and it didn't work!!!!!!

  • hey i'm thinking about going 8800gts g92 SLI, i know you've already mentioned your average benchmarks, but im assuming thats through an assumption, i wanna see how well you run it very high 1680 x 1200 or 1600 x 1200 (either or) using the crysis benchmarking tool! thanks man. id really like to know since i'm gonna own 2 8800gts soon

  • Dude lol U wasted lots of money For 8gb of ram? 4gb is enougth or even 2! good vid btw 5/5

  • well the more the merrier. =D

  • cool vid I have 8800gts 512 mb each in sli but I don't get near the performance as you, do you have aa on or off and I read this on the web but is it true that intel is better for nvidia sli than amd just wondering if you know because I will be upgrading my processor and cpu soon

  • nice...i love this game. but its a bit hard. one of the major things i need to do to improve my performence on this game is oc my processor...but ive been haveing heat probs :(

    (and i have 2x 8800gts also:)

  • Whats your 8800 gts g92 clocks My core is 755mhz and memory clocl 1.9ghz and memory bus 1.08ghz

  • i think this is running at 740/1.8 (stock) (dunno the mem bus speed)

  • This is awsome, I have an overclocked Q6600, overclocked 8800 gts 512, 4 Gbs of DDR2800 ram, and a 1920x1200 display, and am soon getting another 8800 GTS.

  • nice setup. if you have a g0 q6600, i would recommend getting it up to 3.6ghz (if its not already). It will increase sli performance (these cards scale better with higher cpu clocks because of the cpu bottleneck)

  • Awesome video!

Im going SLI with these cards in a few days on my striker :)

  • thanks for the comment!

I still think the 8800gts is great bang for your buck. Even with todays 9800gtx price cuts, the 8800gts 512 is still a better deal imo because you can overclock it to match 9800gtx performance and it requires less power cables (using less power and being compatible with more power supplies while performing the same)

  • In september or october I´m going to buy a new computer with 2x 8800gts and 8gb ram too.

Now I know how good it will run, thanx :D

  • Allthough you also need a good CPU and some intense overclock to feed these cards.

May i suggest the E8400 and buy some aftermarket cooling and overclock to 3.6 - 4.0

  • No, I will buy Quad-Core :D

  • I hope you intend to do you overclocking then, i myself have a q6600 running at 3.6ghz, and i love it.

  • I´m planning to buy a q6600 to, but I´m no pro in computers so I will probably not overclock it.

I have a guide that shows how to do but I don´t trust myself :P

  • I wouldnt recommend overclocking either if you dont have any experience with it.

I think you should look for a newer quad, for example Q9300 or Q9450/Q9400.

  • I thought those were not as good as the earlier ones :S

  • The Q9450/Q9400 is better, due to the higher clock on the fsb and 12mb L2 cache.

  • yes, I saw it on a site just before, maybe I´ll buy a q9450 instead if I get enough money

  • Okay.

Just remember if you choose the Q9450/9400 youll need a motherboard that supports the new 45nm quad processors.

  • Yep, I´ll do it

  • I agree, overclocking can be risky business if you screw with voltage and use stock cooling.

These cards, although performing well, are being bottlenecked by the cpu. If the cpu was overclocked to 4ghz, crysis performance would improve significantly.

  • I would recommend the e8400 if you want to experiment with overclocking. It runs at a stock 3ghz (and has been pushed up to 5ghz!) so you will have tons of OC headroom (the 45nm fabrication helps a lot because of cooler temps and less power usage)

  • how much did you raise your voltages and on what mobo? also, g0 stepping?

  • If you buy a quad core, i would definitely recommend 8gb of ram (if your running x64). If you seriously multitask enough to use 4 cores, your going to need the extra ram!

  • I would personally hold off on building a pc in september/october/november because its rumoured that the intel nehalem architecture will come out then, making lga775 pc's obsolete. This either means that you will be able to pick up fast next-gen stuff for a reasonable price or that the lga775 cpu/mobos will have their prices lowered

  • what motherboard you using?

  • 8800 gts sli is best bang for the buck in performance

  • well you are playing in the sandbox and then you will get more fps so why do't u show us when you'r playing in the real game??

  • 8GB RAM? How much RAM can Vista 64bit recognize?

  • Im pretty sure it can use 128 or more gigabytes of memory.

With 64-bit, you can get a heck of a lot more RAM than the 3 gig cap on xp. (if you need it)

  • they make x64 XP also.
