Doesnt really have to be Solid State. I can be a 2.5 laptop drive. They are made to be rugged. For normal driving, I have even seen 3.5 drives work with no issues. Now if its some kind of off road vehicle, then I reccomend a solid state.

@HiJackZX1 There is more then one reason to have a solid state, mostly because its faster, much faster then a standard 2.5 in drive. by the way its a common misconception that laptop drives are rugged they are far from it. hit a pothole, and or a speed bump and bam! there goes the drive. Anyhow I have installed road runner on a solid state and man those things are fast.

I have a 2.5 drive. Infact my setup uses 2 of them. One 40GB main drive, and one 250GB media drive. Have never had an issue with any. I drive a SUV with very tough suspension, so any bump and you feel it. I will say I do agree with you about speed. SSD are blazing fast, especially with Win 7. That would be my only reason to go to one. Are you on the MP3Car forums?

y lo bueno es que la pantalla es tactil, estos equipos salen alrededor de 1300 Dlls.

По номерам видна машина московская регион 177, дальше называть не буду .... на видео и так все видно. Я бы вам свою на такую дешовую прокачку не отдал свою машину. Для жигулей сойдет. Ничего личного, это мнение об этом предложение. Работу н могу оценить так как не видно, сломали вы или се разобрали собрали на совесть.

Ерунда ... в бордачке ДВД, а слобо его в основную сисему поставить а не делать вот такой армянский таксисткий понт? Еще подсветку в придачу установите на омыватели. Спрятали хорошо дисплей, все остальное 3 с минусом.

no bad work, but mine is better. faster booting, and better look. i made a console for the 8,4" screen which is colored same as the middle-console! my dvd recorder is built in in the original cd-slot from the mazda6 radio! greets

It's more than a normal CD player, but it also does a lot more.

Shawkat4 - that's what it basically is, you just don't have to pull it out from under your seat to use it. ;P

For all the people who talk crap about this CarPC dont understand. A carpc is great for many things. GPS, mp3's, internet and satellite radio and a whole lot more too including DVD's. DVD's would be great when traveling far or just a distance. GPS defines itself you dont need a Navigation System for it. MP3's is great too because all your music is stored on ONE device rather than a ipod and having to connect it to a stereo. Research your crap before you talk crap.
