KYW was originally licensed to Chicago. Westinghouse moved it to Philly, and then under threat from NBC swapped with NBC's Cleveland operations for nine years. Go look it up.

i never quite understood why its both KYW and CBS 3. Whats the story behind the KYW Part?

@howardkevinm KYW's the call letters of the station, they got the letters from Cleveland's channel 3 which had the same calls until 1965. That's when Our channel 3 got the "KYW" calls.

I think Jennifer Ward is trying too hard to be serious. It is almost funny how serious she is acting. The was she is talking doesn't sound remotely realistic. I wonder who is to blame: the news director that said "Lets put a very beautiful woman and tell her to be extra serious" or Mrs. Ward herself who probably thought "I need to be extra serious so people will listen to me." Just some food for thought.

Where's Bruce I know he was still at KYW at that point but they have a different talent scene with Jennifer, was he just off that night?

Jennifer Ward went solo at 11pm for the first few months. Bruce was solo anchor of the 6pm News Beat for his first few months (remember, News Beat didn't launch right away - Steve Bell and Eyewitness News lasted through the remainder of the year at 6pm only).
