if i remember correctly in the matrix morpheus states that "real" is just electrical signals intupirated (bad spelling haha!) by our brains. it is a weird area to chat about! but yet still interesting
Whats 'real'? The fact that we are nothing more than a complicated mass of bacteria, inhabiting a planet, who evolved to the top of the food chain by consequence. thats real. real simple. food and sex is basically all we need/want.
The way to understand what is real and what is not, resides within the heart. That is to say from the inside and not from without. Once the inner perception is developed though attention upon it, the shade will fall away and the truth will be experienced thought the conscience of a higher dimensional state of being. Our perception of what we term reality is created through our intent of what we believe. So if our belief changes so does our reality as we perceive it. Know the truth and be free.
And then there's like the whole idea of Karma. Where life is a "battle" so to speak of balances and imbalances. Like "ying-yang." Or good and evil.
I don't really understand the whole concept of the "there is no spoon" thing though. Idk how doing this or that is supposed to help you develop like "supernatural" powers. Like telekenesis. The Force. Lol.
Just a really interesting concept to think about though.
Someone was saying before that like God is what binds the Universe, it's in everything, but you can't see it and choosing to believe in God you will see the light, but those who do not will just be blinded by the veil of their own ignorance limited to their five senses. That's kind of my understanding of the philosophy of buddhism. Like they teach that through meditation and paying attention to everything, doing good will, will help you achieve the next level of consciousness or Enlightenment.
Acc'd to Bible only God is real, man is made of clay, God of spirit. Is man real?
There are 2 existences, all physical things exists on this side of the speed of light. What exists on the other side of the speed of light?
Physically we cannot get there, but can our information leave our bodies as some form of light which is not visible to the naked eye? Does our information leave( like the concept of info traveling fiber optic cables?)If so, were we ever real?
Well what is "real?" I personally don't think life is just some sort of scientific anomoly. I mean there has to be some greater consciousness, there has to be a Creator, obviously the Universe has to come from somewhere. I mean there just has to be something we are missing, something we overlooked that gives the Universe and life that "force," a certain "idk what."
William Blake wrote "When the doors of perception are cleansed, man will see things as they truly are, infinite." Most of us cannot see things as they truly are in our lifetime. We are too consumed by the distration of everyday living, and we live under the restraints of our body and the shackles of social conditioning. We need to eat, make money, do this, do that. It is a difficult pattern to break out of.
i believe that things happen randomly because heres how i think of it: There are a thousand ways something can happen and a thousand ways something cant happen, and thus there are many combinations. So this means that if you feel that something was destiny, it was probably not that it was 1 in a million, it was 500 in 1850. It depends how you set yourself up and how you make decisions
i mean when u think aboout it for it is hard to think about it and you begin to qestion everything often enough we step away and whant to walk away from thinking of that
well nobody no but then again no one whant to think about it we are in control and do make descions on are basis but since we die are are lives then set out on a certain path. there must be a higher being i firmly belive in GOD for i do not doabt the idea of a matix for a computor always has a flaw
God, The Creator, Great Unbelievable Spirit (GUS) is the love glue that binds the universe and gives it energy and life. You can NOT see GUS but GUS is everywhere. Life can NOT exist without GUS. He is in everything. You can only chose whether to believe or NOT and those who do can see the light. But are others cast into darkness? No. They are temporarily blinded by their own veil of ignorance or human nature, which is the limitation of the five senses. The sixth sense is soul, spirit and love.
yes i am a true practicing Cathlic but please try understand to me you sound a little wierd no offnense i belive in GOD but GUS just sound a little junivnile or just wierd have a nice day
Well, God sounds a little too gaudy for me so I call my creator GUS, what's wrong with that? If you called yours GUSSY I wouldn't be offended that your creator is female. But God, come on! I don't think God would even like to be called "God." What a horrible name. At least GUS sounds personal and not so standoffish. You have a better day!
Hello again get what u say i apoligize i was not in right sense of mind then and am often 2 opinanted by the wya i belive this man suffers from depression and finds this to be his way of reaching out quite sad hmm you have the even better better day
Thanks, Mitch, some people don't understand because they're in too much of a hurry to listen to the finer details of one's discourse. Even though I'm half deaf, I probably hear better than most people because I train my only good ear to listen that much better. I even know lyrics in songs better since I became half-deaf. For some reason I never trained my ears to listen until it became crucial for me to do so with just one good ear. How ironic!
@jamesellis33 From what I know, GUS is the Alpha & Omega, the Beginning and the End. If there is no beginning to the beginning, then there is void. And if my memory serves me right, GUS decided to fill the void so he created the Big Bang that contained all of the magic needed to bring us to our present day and to our future course.
@desertjournalonline There is no explanation for all this, except one must believe by faith alone. Is it by faith that one believes in atheism? I'm almost sure it is, because if you don't have faith in a belief, then you believe absolutely nothing.
Reality includes what you believe occurred in the 'past'. The history books hide most of what has been. There is an effort to keep the population of earth under some kind of control for $ or other reasons. If you can reach the point where 'there is no spoon' then you can begin to change the game. First, to awaken, pay attention to everything. Every feeling, every movement, every chance occurance. Spend time in nature if you can or just tuning into your own breath. This is the freedom way.
I guess I'd say I'm from the "Ignorance is Bliss" school, and I accept things as "real" if I can perceive them. I rarely just blindly accept things as real just because someone says so, only if I come to perceive it myself will I accept it. As for the "higher plane of consciousness" I just don't know, and unfortunately for me, the day to day struggle keeps me properly distracted from actively pursuing it.
reality, truth and knowledge does exist, in a physical state.
reality, truth and knowledge have no value with out the mind which perceives it or understands it but human perception is very subjective, personal and individualistic.
so as long as human perception and understanding of reality will differ, life will continue to be an illusion.
human mind is very selective in the way it perceives reality, our mind constantly adds and subtracts from reality.
this is a basic defense mechanism which our brain has evolved, to stop our mind from getting overloaded with information. our mind is like a computer, it crashes when we ask it to process to much information.
there is to much information in reality which our mind can not process and make sense off.
to solve this problem, our mind has evolved to perceive the complete picture and then to conclude. we don't go into the deep details of reality. majority of humanity is "programed" this way.
like 'neo' in matrix, an 'autistic' person is an anomaly, their mind lack the social skills and thus i believe they are more independent minded from outside influence and see the world in greater detail, much closer to reality. it is their attention to detail which helps them to perceive thing which other humans over look.
thus like you said a higher "consciousness" can be and should be developed. meditation is one of the many ways of achieving this.
There is no free will, but I don't believe in predestination either.
We are limited by our circumstances and our environment, which determine which choices we make, which choices we even perceive. Free will is an illusion, but such a convincing one that I often forget that I don't have it.
Our view is heavily restricted. We don't perceive half as much as many other animals. We are unaware of most radiation, can not understand many concepts because we have no reference, no way to relate.
So we are litterally deaf and blind to so much around us. We can only perceive our own limited reality. I'm blind, so I don't perceive images, they have become more abstract to me, sight is not part of my reality. But that still makes the reality that I experience real, different but very real to me. And in the end, that is what counts. How real this is to ourselves.
You should check out LOST. It is the anti-Matrix.

The thing is awareness - IF you are aware You can have the matrix of your mind, You can observe each everything happening in your Mind.
You are nothing but the experinceing mechanisam of your mind and body, the more the complex the mechanisam the matrix is uncrackble!

rest i feel ABC comments on free will are closer to my belief.
"free will is an illusion and at the same time predestination does not exist either."
i agree with her.
life is a sum total of cause and effect, which are not predictable.
mind creates its own reality, suitable to its needs and wants.
