its not based off of green irish tweed, its a blatant and pathetic ripoff of it. and it comes nowhere close to matching the quality from top notes to the dry down. once it hits the middle notes green irish tweed leaves cool water in its dust

Cool Water was made in 1988 not 1997.

If the humidity is really low, scents don't last as long. People from India consider 4 hours to be excellent since it's so dry over there.

Frozen limited edition isn't a great smelling cologne, normal cool water smells really good and is a pretty big hit with the ladies. If you don't believe me go ask about it in yahoo answers and quite a few women should say they like cool water (its the lavender in the cologne)

i would say one on each side of your neck and one right in the middle of your neck. plus, dab a small spray on your fingers and put a dab behind your ears. you want to get the cologne where the blood flows

Cool Water is a classic! Played out, but alot of colognes are already played out anyway. I actually used to wear the knock off version which smells good also. Last year was the first time wearing it again after 5-6 years and it brought back alot of good memories of being a teenager. They should rename this cologne to "Nostalgia". ;)

Bottle is quite different in UK. Much Lighter blue I think and slightly wider and flatter. Just for people to know. There are also derivatives like Cool Water Game so make sure if you want correct one to read the label.

I also want to throw in that I've tried Green Irish Tweed at Neiman Marcus and Cool Water at Macys (both pretty much guaranteed to be authentic) and I admit they do smell pretty similar. Its a shame because it really puts me off from Green Irish Tweed.

AN investment on creed is well worth it. I prefer it over coolwater because it is better for my skin type. DO not buy it off ebay ever, my freind tried that and it was 100% fake. It also does last longer than the coolwater so thats a plus for it.

I've bought Creed on ebay, I'll throw in my pointers to avoid fakes:

Its true that there is a lot of fake creed on ebay, but if you are determined and careful, there are ways to get good deals. Usually, you want to get a size that is NOT the 4oz size since this is the most commonly counterfeited size. If possible, buy a bottle that is partially used, like 2/3 full or something.

But in most cases you won't save that much money over buying from a decent website like scentiments or fragrancenet.
