Best performance of "the first of the gang to die", and i was there VHS recording, ok? lol...seriously, though, good ass performance!!! b4 or next was J-love hewitt!!....goodnight....ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...............
This performance was the first time I was exposed to Morrissey. The next day I went looking for the album that had this song on it, and I couldn't find it - until two years later when he actually released it.
It was definitely 2002. I remember watching it on TV. Great stuff! It was a good 2 years before Quarry cameout. And the next night he did Everyday is Like Sunday! That was during the Kilborn tracking down Morrissey days. Where he would have segments as 'Tuesdays with Morrissey'. Than finally Moz went on.
this version is the best!!!!

This is definitely a toned-down performance of an extraordinary song.

No, Morrissey has been performing this song since 2002. A recorded version of this song wasn't available until 2004.
