Great song! I have this song on a 45 rpm SUN Label record that I bought back in the '50's. Can't think off hand what is on the flip side... (but I don't have a 45 rpm record player anymore! :-( )
Tomorrow night i read 100 pages of his biography book written by him and now im a happy person . i love hisa music life thinkings etc everything . RIP J.R.
The best version on Youtube, great voice and great rhytm with the Tennesee three. The typical click clack sound Luthers Jazzmaster is providing is awesome!
@johnnycashfan91 (correction) Luther is playing a Jaguar instead of a Jazzmaster wich i mentioned in my last reaction. You know what, this vid. still gets better, even when you listen to it a million times!
That's fine. I've got a lot of Johnny's traks on different CDs (for instance 2 Bear Family's boxes, I find them perfect I would like to recommend them) but I don't know where I can meet THIS live version. '58 Big River recorded at SUN I have of course))
johnny cash is like my 2nd favourite artist of all time and i only heard of him like a few months ago he is absoulutley amazing live. i havent seen him cause he is dead but his live albums rule
What's wit hthe German's postings things we can;t understand? what if I started speaking spanish? I can, andmight if they don't stop doing thiso n other videos too.
This was the first song I ever heard Johnny Cash perform. It blew me away. Rock, Country, Blues, WHATEVER you want to call it, it moves like a locomotive. Have you considered his initials ! JC! Loved this mans' music, grew up with it, what more can I say ! ! !
I've found I have so many favorite Johnny Cash songs that I just love them all. I can't pick my favorite child and I'm not gonna begin to pick my favorite johnny cash song. Gotta Love J.C.
this is most perfect blend of blues, rockabilly and country the world has ever seen. johnny cash wasent just a legend, he was something more than that. he is something so hard to explain, intill you hear a song like this. his songs had so much craftsmanship into them, he poured his heart into into every song. johnny cash will never be forgoten. people will just like him more. this is the best song by johnny cash and my faveroit song in the world. r.i.p johnny cash, you were the best.
Does anyone have the original recording of this song? It had bloopers in it. It was really a cool song. If anyone does have please send me a message! Thanks
John was wild at times... and laid back other times. One of the chilling things to hear was John pick up the guitar and sing a little of that cold hard cash sound right at you and say "well... how was that"!
don't we wish! I'm afraid Johnny Cash, as a musician and as a man, is from a breed we won't see again soon, if ever. Certainly not in Nash Vegas, homogenized music capital of "country" music. Three things Johnny never was: flashy, bland, and boring, which is 95% of country music today- heck, all pop music in America. Deadly dull, predictable, corporate fodder.
Tompage1611, It's been said at Luther's funeral, Johnny stood over the casket and said "Thank You Luther for making it all possible...." and thank you Carters01 for posting this.
