try adding &fmt=22 on the end of the url randy my friend, youtube is never fully HD as such but the audio is pretty much left at its original state and the video is quite an improvement

Fargie sorted it Mike it was recording in 16:9 is the key or at the very worst importing your video footage into an editor at 16:9 and saving as 1280x720, its pretty much uncompressed from my hearing i think.. what you think ? :)
