They were all combat soldiers from the eastern front, many of them wounded and in hospitals.
rounded up by our soldiers for mass execution.

If you change your perspective of the war, from that of a war between state superpowers, vying for power, to one of states conspiring against people, you see, where the real crimes occurred. The lesson we learned from WW2 is that all states, no matter which ones they are, are self serving interests that get lots of people killed.
