Sometimes it's helpful. Especially against level 4-5 police vehicles/tactics. They usually say on which side they lay a spike strip over the radio and it makes it much easier to steer clear when you know where the spikes are. They will also say when rhinos are coming towards you and when they are going to try and PIT you. Good stuff to know.

Sure spikes are easy to avoid when you hit the speedbreaker. But not knowing when rhinos are coming from the opposite sucks. It's practically impossible to disable them when they come at the speed they do. Knowing when something is coming is much better. ;)
