I love the way Nero barely pays attention when a door magically seals behind him. "Huh, oh, I'm locked in, oh well, let's go back to killing stuff".

Nero's origins and Devil Bringer aren't really explained. Kinda disappointing as I find Nero to be a very interesting character. As for Nero's odd laugh, he DID just survive getting stabbed through the abdomen and was suddenly "possessed" by Yamato. I figure it's a combination of recovering and having his new demonic powers jump through the roof.

I wouldn't say he's going insane. I think Nero was just being possessed by Vergil's spirit. Especially when he said, "Give me More Power"

That's exactly what Vergil said when he fought Dante at the end of DMC 3. So apparently a part of Vergil's will lives on in Yamato (His sword)
