I have read these comments and pondered on the accusations and on the "reasons" for one thing or another. I came to realise that we all need to learn a lot more about other people of Europe and we can only do it from eachother. I2 is not common in the Middle east at all. Lets look up E-M78, which is most common in Albanians. This Haplogroup is apart from Albanians, only spread in eastern Africans. I don't think this makes you Europeans. :)

E-V13 is not Illyrian. E-V13 is only represented on about 5% of ancient Illyria, while I2 is present on 95%. For Haplogroup R1a look up Indo-European origins. So much about the genetics.
I don't think that the churches and monasteries that the Serbs built in the 10th, 11th and 12th century can be "Albanian legacy" at all.

The Serbs however come from Europe, this is both genetically proven, and mentioned by Byzantine and Italian historians. In this city many international students come and work during sumer. Many of them are from eastern europe and a shit load from ballkan even though i met only two albanias dude(shame). After we start talking, the dude asked me for my religion, and i said that i am orthodox. He first did not believe me and then asked me a really wierd question. @TheMomemtum It was the Serbian despot Milutin who build the monastery of Gracanica atop of the Blessed lady of Gracanica Catholic Church around 1316.
Likewise, the Monastery of Saints Michael and Gabriel replaced an ancient Dardanian church that belonged to the late antique period. The reconstruction took place around 1348. Major donations appear to have come from the Ragusians and other catholic stock of the tradesmen operating in Prizren at the time.

It is well documented that King Milutin (Nemancic) seized and appropriated the Cathedral of Lady Prena in Prizren. The church architecture demonstrates several construction phases, which as pinpointed by the archaeologist Edi Shukria can be divided chronologically as belonging to the antique and middle age periods.

@TheMomemtum The Church of Martyrs was constructed around XIII century. Today it is grouped with other churches in the Complex of Patricana in Peja. The church was constructed in the Roman style. Its sacral ornaments are in the spirit of the coastal Dalmatian - Albanian tradition. The small and engraved stones are sacral work of art characteristic of the roman –gothic and invariably traditions of construction in the Middle Ages in Kosova.

The Monastery of Deçan church is the most typical object attesting to the Albanian –Dalmatian coastal inspiration and style.

2 People are not actually Montengrins. The second last guy (who is for an Kosovo independence) is Albanian, and the guy with the red "Srbija"-t-shirt (spelled in kyrillic) is a Serb. You can recognize it on the dialect, but almost all Montenegrins interviewed are against it (apart from the last one).

I am sorry, Albanians are not Illyrians. Genetic test disprove this. Look up the Y-DNA Haplogroups. Haplogroup I2 is Illyrian, in Albania its only 17% (and only in the north were Montenegrins used to live) and 3% (!!!) in Kosovo, which is almost entirely Albanian.

Also, it's not 17% but 17-20% of Albanians in Albania are Catholic and 25-30% Orthodox. There are over 700,000 Orthodox Albanians in Albania and over 500,000 Catholic Albanians in Albania. And NO they didn't become Christian in the 90's but we are one of the oldest Christians in Europe.
Most people in Albania are Atheist anyway, they are mainly the former muslims, they don't convert to Christianity but hate islam and want nothing to do with it. Christian Albanians remain Christian

Motenegro's independence has nothing to do with the relations to Serbia. I voted for the independence, yet i see Serbia as a brother nation. Almost all of the Motenegrins (including me) voted for the independence because Belgrade's politics suck, not because we hate Serbia. Read Petar II. Petrović-Njegos you uneducated cunt. Montenegro has 5% "ethnic" Muslims, but these are dominantly Bosnians living in the North. It also includes Turks, Albanians and what not.
