  • Very true - it's a big problem for them. And while I totally support direct engagement between politicians and populace, I wonder also how that kind of informal direct engagement could subvert more formal representational / policy making process? Certainly much to ponder there...

  • the search for authenticity is the great challenge of the new web. the problem is, people keep on finding new ways to manufacture the illusion of authenticity, and it ends up eating its own tail. of course, if politicians were authentically authentic, they would often say some rather unpalatable things, and they would get punished for it.
