But yes, Mean Girls is Disney in comparison to Heathers. Heathers was an unbelievable risk taken by the filmmakers in 1988, together with Wynona Ryder and Christian Slater as young actors as much as "Taxi Driver" was in 1974. Mean Girls represented no risk whatsoever by comparison.
