the benefit of plants is not that they "reflect heat instead of absorbing it" as stated by the girl narrating the video. Plants cool air by the process of evaporation from their leaves. They also convert some of the solar energy into chemical energy through photosynthesis, thus preventing that energy from being released as heat.
