I have been dealing with Chronic shoulder subluxations for 3 years now due to a fall in hockey. I also have long thoracic nerve palsy that has been getting a litttle bit better. I still have winging in my scapula that occurs. I have had 2 MRI's and a couple of X-Rays and nothing abnormal came up on them. I have been doing Physical therapy for about 2 years. I have been using an NMES unit for a couple of weeks now. What could be wrong?! How can I fix this?? Its very painful. Please help.
@590221010 The procedure is called osteoarticular allograft (OA) transplantation. it's new and may not be available in Canada. See if you find anything using that term in a Google search. We can't post direct links in the comments.
I'm a 15 yearold defensive end and i dislocated my shoulder last year while going for a swim move my hand was completely up in the air and the O-line man pushed it back out of place. I went to the sidelines and popped it in myself and thought everything was fine but the next day it happened again and the trainer did it this time. A year later during a football game it came out and now it has came out 2 times while i was sleeping. Im hoping this wont affect football, but im not sure what to do.
@dunnoman1234 If you are still having problems with this, please consider consultation with a physician. If it is convenient for you, feel free to call MedSport at 877-877-9333. Good luck to you.
@dunnoman1234 im about to get surgery on mine but im kind of scared that it will make it worse or something...like i hope to get my bench back up...is what i really want.
This procedure was developed based on research Dr. Sekiya did on Hill-Sachs defect. If you'd like to discuss this in detail, send us a message and we'll get you the contact information.
i am 18 very athletic i play rugby and when i played i would dislocate my shoulder 3 times a game and play on just thinking it was normal because of bad health system here in ireland they didnt realise it was a reoccuring dislocation they taught i was being a cry baby or something. i have been to a doctor that just works on shoulder he told me to do some research before my surgery on the 16th of july have u any advice on rehab of the shoulder after surgery?
seeing this video has giving me a lot of understanding about my own shoulder problem I've had 3 surgery on my right shoulder and all have failed 2 of them were capsular stiffs and the 3rd I thought was a reconstruction was not I guess. I dislocate 10 plus times day still. my last surgery was November 28, 2005 I'm 28 year old female just wishing to get my life back pain and and dislocating has stop my life would love if some one can help
@LILFOOT1112 you have to stop having surgerys..as much as you want to you dont really need to doing shoulder excersices..taking enough calcium would be a great start, if you have any questions feel free to reply
@futb0lista7777777 the last thing I want is other surgery and my last surgery was 5 plus years ago Im done everything my Dr. asked of me I went to PT I did the home excersices and after 6 months after my last surgery I had disloction while I was in PT and it was down hill from there I still do my excersices to this day and they dont help when you dislocate as much as mine does the last thing I want to do us cause more to happen alls I want is my shoulder back and the pain to stop
Two important questions:
1-This new procedure does it need Antithrombotic for life?
2-What is the relapse rate in worse circumstance? (Every operation has relapse rate: Laterjat 10%)

Is this similar to the glenoid recon with the Illiac crest graft? If not I wonder how successful this would be on someone like me with EDS type 3?

Is this operation available in Canada? What is this called? I may need this because my recurring shoulder dislocation seems to be getting worse.
