Last's year's president's crash near Smolensk happened not while flying a "different airline" but a military unit that was assigned to hauling VIPs. Unfortunately bad luck, poor judgement and lax procedures and training caused a most dramatic crash in Polish aviation history. The Tupolev 154 was coming down in a thick fog.

Luckily, this time was quite different. Big praise to the professionalism and cold blood of captain Wrona that saved himself and approx. 230 ppl. onboard. Well done!!!

Secondary he never checked that the fusees for electric backup system were removed. Should he comply with all the procedures the belly landing would be unnecessary. He failed as well as the plane engineer, they were trying to save their lives.

The belly landing is one of the easiest procedures any pilot can perform.

The pilot Tadeusz Wrona (a friend of my friend pilot with whom he attended flight school) made for sure deadly mistakes and as results of his negligence he was forced to belly land. Nothing great in being negligent! And that idiot Polish President (after rigged election) gave him a medal for that landing. He should be arrested for endangering the lives of all passengers and his own and damaging plane!
