  • I'm aware that you know all of this and stuff but I'm just saying that for an older fatter leopard gecko to lose it's tail is alright but not alright for a baby. Its massive shock and since they are so young and not fat at all it drains them.

  • my gecko loves me touching her tail, when i start stroking it, she sits upright and shuts here eyes, then starts licking

its funny. None of mine dropped their tails before, no matter how scared they got.

  • @boffgirl same! with my gecko!

he dosent mind me touching his tail at all in fact he closes his eyes when i pet it and he falls asleep like yours!

  • @alyssagirl123456

this is odd any gecko vid i go to lately it u aaha

mine don mind it either !

  • @sexiilicous1 lol we watch the same vids:) ive proly commented on almost all the gecko vids lol

  • lol me to!

  • @sexiilicous1 bahahaha

  • My gecko has lost his tail, the previous owner did not look after him properly so i have now got him :) But yeah, after losing his tail, its gone all fatty. Is this normal?

  • @ezzexboi1986

yes it's ok it losses the perfact look

    once thy lose it

    = /

  • somewhat,

there's so many reasons why ur leopard gecko lost it tail.

and if you clean the tank and just put paper towels in it. and throw the paper towels away a week later. and add new clean paprer towels in it.

    they tail CAN come back,

But it will not be the same.

  • it can drop but its not very good for them i wouldnt recomend doing this to your gecko any more because they only do it so if they are being atacked the prededor will attack the tail instead of the gecko so the gecko can get away (just saying)

  • It was not done on purpose. Read the description and previous comments.

I'm not ignorant, and I know exactly the purpose of why some reptiles can drop their tails.

  • I was just saying i wasnt trying to be rude im sorry if it appeared that way

  • is that the gecko? or tail thats makin that noise?

  • The noise is from crickets in the background.

  • good luck getting the tail pattern back

  • The tail pattern will not come back. It will grow back but the colors and patterns on the tail will be distorted.

  • eheh... TWITCH! :3

  • is it's tail supposed to drop???? mine are about 10 yrs old and haven't dropped their tails still

  • NOOOOOO!!! it's juwt an escaping move from them.. when something holds his tail or pull's on it he will shed his tail to escape.. AND! it's best don't doing this for fun.. <.< Yes.. their tail will grow back.. but not so beautiful as it was before.. the new tail will be more like a light bulb..

btw.. <3 for gecko's xD especially leopard gecko's x'D love those cute guys ö

  • u have to hold them by there tail for them to drop its s defense mecanasim

  • That really sucks! mine hasn't dropped its tail YET.

  • it's not supposed to drop T.T

  • will it grow back?

  • poor baby gecko

  • I was cleaning tubs and the little guy got stressed out as it was a new hatchling and it dropped its tail.

  • How does it drop it's tail?

  • just for self defence.. to escape they can drop it whenever they want to ^^

  • poor gecko....must of been stressed

  • why'd it drop it?
