But alot more work needs to be done, people have to stop bringing Irish flags to these events...we either leave flags behind or use the flag of St.Patrick's cross.
Also involve more Protestant schools and teach the shared history and peace between the two Christian faiths...after all Patrick was a Christian not Protestant nor Roman Catholic.
This parade is held in a town called Enniskillen, Co.Fermanagh which is part of Northern Ireland (UK) not the Republic of Ireland so the Irish tri-colour actually isn't the national flag. Probably more appropriately to fly the Union Jack...but I think the St. Patrick's cross is a fitting flag for the day
@51wins No, it's OUR country - annexed from Dublin in 1922. Irish flag will always fly at Enniskillen on St Patricks day. Besides, Fermanagh now has a majority Catholics. It will not be part of the UK for much longer because there are 1,000 people moving up here from the 26 counties every month. Your settler community are shrinking very fast. Then there will be a reunification referendum.
Well not much point in talking to you, your clearly a bigot...even most of your own community know and were very happy to leave the irish flags at home.
Your clearly using St. Patrick's day as a chance to divide communities rather then embrace the true Christian meaning of the day and bring people together.
I feel sorry for people like you. A time is coming when your own community will leave people like you behind, you will be considered a fool for holding sectarian views.
@51wins LMFAO! the pot calling the kettle black, funny world we live in. Ha ha, you might want to tell that to your Orange friends on July 12th. Your community should stop living in a fantasy world. You are drowning in your own manipulations.
@UnknownOconnor I would contest your laughable, "1000 per month" moving north, along with the FACT, that as many again, LEAVE the island of Ireland, for to live in Britain, on a regular basis. NO; The real reason that people from the Irish Republic are moving to Northern Ireland and the UK, is because of the dire economic situation that Brussels has caused. The good people of the Irish Republic, were FOOLED into voting "Yes" and as such, the country now wishes it was part of the UK instead....
@davetherave7 lmao. Ireland does not want to be part of the U.K. There is no dire economic situation in Ireland now any worse than britain. We have the second highest job growth in the Eurozone right now. More companies are moving to Ireland and our borrowing costs have come down dramatically. We are also growing faster than Britain at present. Dirty orange bastards who favor a defacto union are scum who do not belong on OUR land. The 1,000 moving up here will do their patriotic duty to outvote.
Keep the Tri-Colors flying!
