  • epic dude is epic

  • Thank you so much for the help, I've been building and playing with weapons since I was old enough to hold a stick. me and my little brother would play with sticks for hours, then I upgraded to pvc and pvc cover, last year I made one with a fiberglass core and foam and duct tape, since then been trying to figure out how to do latex. THANK YOU SO much for your help. This information is amazing. You are the man. p.s. I am at school 30 mins west of Pitt know any fantasy Larp groups around there?

  • WE HAVE A LARP CLUB IN SCHOOL AND NOW I WILL HAVE THE MOST BADASS WEAPON, SO THANKS A BUNCH!

  • Good info on tools, it definitely gave me a shortlist of things to gather.

Anyone ever tell you that you sound a bit like Patton Oswalt? I glanced to the side once when my kids asked me a question and I caught it.

  • i like the video man! Awesome... Wish there was more people interrested in Larping or Boffing, around North Platte NEbraska... had a small group in Omaha!

Anyways love the sarcasm with it too... shows that you've worked a long time on this! a lot of the info makes really good sense. thank you for sharing!

  • Are you playing They might be Giants in the background? They're awesome, and thank you sooo much for this vid. This is really helping me upgrade from foam to latex.

  • hey can you make a video on how to make axes and bows and arrows

  • LOL I <3 The Music!

  • Ogunshi you rock. Very informative.

  • Dude, I like how you keep a cool attitude and not goofing off like in some of the other boffer making vids I've seen.

  • dude your awesome... ur gifted in this stuff. I am currently a fan ;] Where do you live BTW? cause if you live in Canada you could tell me where a good larp place is... i hope.

  • I'm currently on location in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

  • k. Its hard to find larp arenas near where i live. the closest one i can find is like 1 hour away.

  • That's the case with most people.

I live 2 hours away from the nearest, but I'm still planning on going.

  • @ogunshi i live in lopat new jersey were can i larp near by

  • That is a little hard to answer. What kind of LARP are you looking for?

From these choices which one would you want to do.

A social LARP (all plot no fighting)

A fantasy LARP ( plot and fighting)

A combat sport group (all fighting no plot)

  • I'd suggest amtgard

    My favorite

No points and you can play classes if you like.

If you want to larp all you need is weapons, friends, a back yard, or a park. Parks are great for larger groups.

  • @Vmann12378 there is knight realms I'm going next year my friend knows it

  • @ogunshi oh cool your from pittsburgh..i live out near washington county

  • Hey i live in canada too, Im currently getting into a larp group in toronto, where about do you live because i could give you listings of larp groups in you;re area

  • thanks thatd be great.

  • @neon4901 where do u live i wana larp :) i live in kelowna BC

  • hey ogunshi I am workin on buildin a foam latex sword and I am workin with the camping foam ( i know these videos are showin the high end method, which i am looking forward to learning) right now I am cutting the foam into the blade design and I am tryin to figure out what would be the best tool to use to shape the blade. Right now using a razor and its cutting it but its not as straight as I would like. any ideas? thanks for ur time brother and keep doing what you doin.

    Yami

  • I would suggest a hot wire cutter. It is going to allow for straighter and smoother cuts. You can find them online for about $20 and are SO worth it.

  • but you should use blue camp foam for the finnished product blace correct?, also which kind of DAP are you supposed to use?

  • The shorts answers are no and none.

The way I am showing is the process that how top end latex weapon makers product their weapons. The process calls for items and concepts not commonly known in foam smithing groups.

  • oo the really fancy 100 dollar plus ones

  • Well those ranging from 50 to 200. Anything above that price is a custom job, which is a different process all together.

  • FINALLY!!!!!! will def. be waiting for the next vid hopefully you post it soon. oh and if you happen to crave sustenance in the form of edible things like pizza or double cheeseburgers theres this place near you that has some pretty good food i think its called... giorgios... idk something like that haha
