    This is magic,it's perfect!

  • WHO AM I ?!?!??! I AM A CHAMPION!!

  • Anybody know what the name of the track is where Nathaniel, Uncas, and Chingachgook are following Magua to the Huron camp?

  • @wcw2793 "The Gael"

  • Hey Weidman21, you still aren't a bad ass.

  • What brought me here was marching on the field to my Infantry School graduation while this song was playing. No better feeling in the world

  • We use so many beautiful words to describe average things. Beautiful, Legendary, Divine, Heavenly... It has no meaning.

Soundtrack from The Last of The Mohicans is describeless, more than words of common language. Maybe in native it has still any meaning:

    Hecheto Wakhan

  • This is part of the tune "The Gael" by Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean, a fantastic and moving piece. The full song is just as beautiful as this regrettably short portion. Pass the word along!

  • F$%ing beautiful music.

  • My ears are having sexy time........DAMN its GOOD!!

  • @YorkGod1 ...this....is...better than sex....

  • @Ginurufuzu or play it while ya at it then that'll be a bit of alright then :D

  • @Ginurufuzu Virgintalk !

  • @MatthiasSomers Kiddytalk !

  • @Ginurufuzu Haha xD

  • Who would dislike this ....

  • This IS from the film and arranged by Trevor Jones brilliantly but its actually a piece called 'The Gael' by a man called Dougie MacLean from his album 'The Search'. Not to disparage the guy who posted it but I think Mr. MacLean needs to be recognised to!

  • @huggajon I agree, he does! That's why I posted the same thing, mate! Gotta let them know!

  • I've got new ringtone.

  • simplemente hermoso,,esta version no la habia escuchado ,,tenia muchos años con la version normal...

  • @amirhamzah1973 Amazon has it in several editions, but if you prefer the less legal way, I'd suggest Kickasstorrents.

  • @amirhamzah1973

I bought the movie a few years ago. I remembered it as a child, and I was awed, still am.

  • @amirhamzah1973

I bought the movie a few years ago for the same reason you did. I remembered it as a child. and was awed...still am.

  • Anyone know were i could get the sheet music to this song?

  • When she jumped off the cliff... </3

  • @amirhamzah1973 Amazon has the movie.

  • This sounds sligthly different from the movies one. Not the song, but the instruments, it is awesome in my opinion!

  • sounds like a scotish party :)

  • best soundtrack in a movie ever......!

  • never knew this was from this film, which i have yet to see ... nor did i know it was called " the kiss " ... in love with the sound

  • ;( god himself

  • This song is on repeat when im out running in the evening through my local woods. its so fucking amazing!

  • @Tephtester I hope you regard the Native spirits when you'r out there, as their bones surround us all, in the woods, in the cities, in the parks, in lush neighborhoods, for tens of thousands of years we have lived here...

  • @Tephtester I hope you regard the Native spirits when you're out there, as their bones surround us all everywhere, from the woods, to the beaches, to the cities, to highways, to mountains, to ballparks and stadiums, to fields, to lush neighborhoods, for we have lived and died here for tens of thousands of years...

  • The people who disliked this should just leave and never come back... EVER

  • A melhor OST de sempre, juntamente com a de Braveheart! É impossível não ficar tocado com esta melodia.. bravo!

  • i watched the movie ONLY because i loved the them song. no other reason. but the movie turned out to be really good !

  • @Dathinkingman hey im planning on watching the movie also just because of the song but im wondering... does it have a happy ending? honestly i don't want to watch a sad movie now. I do that at another time. i need a little happy :) thxs

  • @TheMidnightlove its sort of a sad but i kinda liked it. but mostly i loved the music it plays thru out the movie :)

  • @Dathinkingman okay thxs, think ill watch :)

  • Very inspiring music and strangly heartbreaking.

  • Love the movie. Love the soundtrack. This song is absolutely beautiful :3

  • i am the champion. thumbs up if u know what im on about.

  • Some Japanese capitolists snatched my other version of this. Do you guys know that this soundtrack from Trevor Jones was also recycled for Legends of the Fall? One of Hollywoods lame jokes, no less... Does that interest you? Movie world running out of ideas...then why do the producers get so much money?

  • I don't care what people say... The movie and song kicked ass

  • This is set to Irish Jig tempo - Love it very haunting.

  • written by Scotsman Dougie maclean, original song called 'The gael!' from his 1990 album 'the search.'

Used and adapted by trevor jones for the film. So..gon hae a wee look fur 'the gael' if ye want te hear the original ;-)

  • I love this song, but... Am I the only one who just suddenly got a curious desire to kill someone with a tomohawk?

  • @miasophi...Thank you for this video....Peace

  • I had this song stuck in my head and I came here to play it. Halfway through, I thought, "Ok, I have my fix. I'm good," and tried to pause it and close the page. I couldn't.

  • Thumbs up if "I'm a champion" brought you here.

  • @Perfors931 thank you, i knew i'd heard this before, but i had know idea from where :)

  • @MightyChewbacca666 And i know you couldn't resist it because it's the most fucking awesome soundtrack!

  • @Perfors931 The song in that video is actually called "The Gael"

  • @amirhamzah1973 You can rent this DVD on Netflix....

  • the soundtrack did win some awards

  • Beautiful love song, one of the best of all times......

  • My favorite movie of all time...absolute perfection. The most beautiful soundtrack with the stunning scenery is mesmerizing.

  • Nothing like some beautiful Celtic music to remind me of the Natives :3

Interesting how that works out, but now every time I listen to Celtic stuff, all I can think of this, then indians.

  • It's simple - thats a amazing Soundtrack

  • One of the movies everyone needs to watch, its amazing

  • @amirhamzah1973 Amazon should stock it or the entire film is on youtube to enjoy viewing, cheers.

  • One of my favorite movies and I'm only 14.

  • @amirhamzah1973 you can download it or buy the dvd on ebay or others sites on the net

  • Gah, this song makes me want to make love to Daniel Day Lewis!

  • we're performing a ballet to this song tonight eeeee!!! scared!, but i love this piece of music :)

  • To anyone that doesnt like this song, im sorry its not an autotuned rap. This song is beautiful, so if you were one of the people who disliked this video, your opinion sucks. Have a nice day.

  • @imafrickinfighter it is better that it is not autotuned

  • @imafrickinfighter But that doesn't mean that the scapegoat demon alternative is rap, lol, that was so white of you to say, which makes me nervous to see the movie to see what all the hype is about, the Native side of sentiment, or just another self-serving white america production about another people? I'll see for myself, but by the sounds of it, it is the latter...

  • @Machetazo1 sorry i wasnt really referring to the alternitive, i was talking about music in general; and the fact that nowadays all that plays on the radio is autotuned and such.

  • @imafrickinfighter On the contrary, I quite enjoy music similar to this song, and love rap. However I love the rap with meaning which you haven't been exposed to since it doesn't reach the attention that "autotuned rap" does. Please, don't hesitate to listen to Kurt Kobain by Proof, You Never Know by Immortal Technique, Razorblade Salvation by Jedi Mind Tricks, Dear Mama by 2Pac, or Mockingbird by Eminem. I'm sorry you have only heard meaningless rap. Have a nice day.

  • @nfsfilms Calm down, no need to waste our time on youtube comments. Peace.

  • @imafrickinfighter This song is beautiful, but your attitude sucks. Peace.

  • @imafrickinfighter well said lol

  • Respond to this video... i never saw the full movie only bits and parts. after listening to this song i watched for 1st time.

  • So wonderfull!

  • this song and "Promentory"... they are similar, but I can't pick out the differences myself

  • @corporateCoffee yes they're very similar and both beautiful ^^

  • @corporateCoffee yes they're very similar and both beautiful ^^

  • @corporateCoffee they are both part of the same song

  • @corporateCoffee

they are really similar, maybe they are the same , ut with more than one change.

  • @corporateCoffee The Kiss is played with Violins only and Promentory is played with violins and mandolins accompanied by percusians and minor orchestra!

  • @aaronfu2 thanks sir

  • @corporateCoffee The Kiss is just a section of Promontory, it's just smaller and with fewer instruments and changes.

  • @corporateCoffee the kiss is an excerpt from promentory but the lead violin part is written with, i believe, an octave difference

  • to 9 do not like? 9 deaf!

  • everytime when i hear this i wanna cry

  • is fantastic

  • congratulations

  • am i only one that feels the passion in this song..?

  • thumps up if your watching this video on 2011

  • 7 people have no idea what powerful and awesome music sounds like....

  • ripdearbrother - you need to see the movie again. She didn't jump of the cliff because the man loved another woman - the man was a savage (well portrayed as such in the film) and he'd been given her to do with as he pleased. She knew his intentions were not kind (without doubt) so she launched herself off the cliff. All the while, the man that did love her was running to her rescue ... needless to say he was too late. Good luck with the violin.

  • This song just rips my heart out. Man.

  • @Scheherizade

It rips out your heart Mann.

  • This song is based on an older song called "The Gael"

  • The scene in the movie where this song is played made me cry so much. This woman jumps off of a cliff; the man she was with loved another woman. So, she commits suicide. Saw this movie years and years ago. This is one of the few songs that inspired me to learn the violin. However, I've not even played it that much. I think it's beautiful.

  • One of the best theme ever (:

  • ran through the woods of yellowstone national park while listening to this once. never regretted it.

  • Loved this song when I heard it on the Shift Happens presentation :)

  • Where can I download this song? Please anyone help me.

  • @GodInSnow you can download it by the 4shared

  • @GodInSnow you can dowload it with vdownloader

  • @GodInSnow bt junkie.org will have it...

  • @GodInSnow use any video converter!

  • @GodInSnow paste the URL and then you can convert it to audio only (mp3). After you click convert you just need to click download and it will download to your media player, all you just got to do is save it.

  • @GodInSnow Why not downloading it directly from this vid ? The quality is good enough, isn't it ?

  • @GodInSnow There is a link below the number of views that will take you to itunes and you can purchase it there.

  • @GodInSnow Dude. Just do what I do: In a different tab, open up this website called "listentoyoutube". And just copy the url from this video, and it converts the audio into an mp3 for you. All it does it put it in the 'music' section on your computer. There's no installations or downloads or anything, and it's totally free. And no risk of downloading any dangerous crap onto your hard-drive.

  • @miasophi Do you know, by chance, the musician who played the violin solo during this recording?

  • About 4 years ago I saw a montage in youtube of 911 with this song in it, and I was never ever able to find it, and just last night, a friend played it in his iPhone and I finally found it again ha.

  • Genial.

  • I found the sheet music to this by accident! ^^ loving every time i play it! :)

  • Im sure i can hear Northumberland pipes inthere?

  • Beautiful music.

  • What instrument is this? doesn't sound like a violin... maybe it is???

  • @darkspy123 Yes, it is a violin playing with a orchestra =D

  • @miasophi Why does it sound unusual? Its as if its being played slightly rigidly if that was possible. lol

  • @Dolphidood is how the instrument is played, as the bow goes, are techniques of violin, like: staccato, martelato, pizzicato, Glissando among others.

  • @miasophi Right, I see. Thanks!

  • @Dolphidood That is just the way it sounds by itself. some violins or fiddles nowadays are hooked up to an electronic synthesiser, which gives it a more mellow tone.

  • @miasophi True...but in this historical setting it would be better described as a fiddle. Fabulous! My favorite part of this movie, and there are many! Thanks!!!

  • @darkspy123 Actually it is a fiddle.

  • Inspired by Irish Folk music I am sure by the sound of it.

    Great Piece, thanks for posting

    Bobby...

  • Beautiful song. 6 don't know what real music is

  • this song is so beautiful....i hope i can play it one day......maybe in orchestra this year.

  • @alzinalily13 luck ;)

  • I love the Scottish touch in this, very warrior like. Heroic and noble, the kind of way I'd like to be.

  • Rep me if you can discern a slight difference between this and the version in the film. You'll probably only notice if you're into this music as much as I am.

  • @sethaus75 The film version has more "bass"?? I like that version better if that's what you mean lol. Still a beautiful piece nonetheless though!

  • such a great piece of music,i would like this played at my end along with adaggio for strings and shindlers list theme

  • this is amazing :-)

  • beautiful song

  • the best song !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing, that is the song that I want to hear in heavens! :-)

  • beautiful to hear, sad to think upon its inspiration. the world heaves with pain and we forget it. just to be reminded another day when we might truly remember.

  • this soundtrack makes me cry , the whole civilisation of the red indians was killed and erased by the terrorism of the americans

  • meraviglia

  • this part in the movie is nice and racy :)

  • how come justin bieber got more views than this?....i'm not a JB hater...hehehehe
