  • It's a god

  • Keith Moon would smoke all these clowns without even using a hi hat and do it high on cocaine and drunk as fuck!

  • Copeland missed to of his octobans.

  • REPLAY ! he's a genius

  • he made a soundtrack to all psx spyro the dragon games :) if you remember

  • he composed the music too

  • copeland es el corazón de Police

  • Cool

  • king

  • That drop in after his solo break is outrageous... Copeland has a vile pocket when playing with others. Incredible.

  • woah....

  • Love Stewie, but this solo blows....

  • @johnnylarue1 Stewart Copeland doesn't really do solos that much. He's much more at home playing along to a tune. Just listen to the brilliance of his playing when the band is going with him. The solo section was not the focus of his performance. That's why he made it as short as he did.

  • I don't think "Like" is really strong enough for this clip! Whew!! I do believe Stewart is my favorite drummer of all time! And this coming from a guitarist! :)

  • @LiveOnJohn40 He is using traditional grip... very rare amoung rock drummers of his stature... Neil Peart Used Traditional Too

  • love the way he plays the WHOLE kit where as other drummers would just stick to snare, few toms and some cymbals

  • Awesome... I caught the end of this one night.. glad to see the whole thing. Thanks for posting. The guy is a machine!! And great tune...

  • His snare is pretty darn crisp sounding.I would not mind having mine sound like his.

  • I remember seeing him live when he came to Ireland for The Police's comeback tour, Amazing! His grip style is quite unusual especially in his right hand, is it french grip can anyone tell me?

  • Remeber when you watched the muppets and they showed a clip of animal....well Stewart Copeland was the 1 who inspired him.

  • wow, he's got more cymbals than an average metal drummer :O

  • Yeah Copeland is one of the best... Plays traditional....

  • STEWWIEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man, I really hope I am able to still bash my drums like that when my hair is white

  • True dat, man... I've gotta check out more of Gavin's stuff, amazed by what I've heard so far.. but he's got to lay it down for a few more years before we attach the 'God' label... he'll be there

  • He could roll up and smoke any of you nerds. Post your drum solos before you feedback negatively!

  • His drumming during the music is musical and very good. When it drops out and he solo's it was def weak and poorly constructed. I have heard MANY local drummers solo better. But, like I said.. his parts during the music were great! And I do love his Tom sound. He is and will always be a legend.

  • Love stewart thanx for uploading. Can you tell me all the drummers who played on letterman for this drum event. I only got to see Copeland, and Peart. Thanx bro. P.s keep posting those lessons too bro, ur an awesome teacher, i stopped seeing my teacher, when he moved, and ur just as detailed and simplistic, yet awesome.

  • @wikid83 Week one was Anton Fig, Sheila E, Roy Hanes Jr, and Neil Peart. Week two was Tony Royster Jr, Gavin Harrison, Stewart Copeland, Dennis Chambers.

  • @wikid83 Oops, Roy Hanes is not a Jr (fail)

  • One of the greatest drummers ever! Nobody utilizes every single pc. of the kit---and so musically-- like Stewart. And P.S. to PS: solos were never his thing-- he says it all during every song, which is more important anyway

  • @yubbiz You've got that right...this was actually a song he wrote and composed.

    -Stephen T.

  • @yubbiz He's a master no doubt, and while his solo is weak, a solo doesn't define a drummer, and he is an amazing drummer, one of the best of all time. But Gavin Harrison is a drum GOD!

  • old man chops. :-)

  • To PS ...STEWART is not known for solos ...he's a compositional genius ...but you wouldn't know that Rocker!!!

  • And he does it all with traditional grip. Outstanding!

  • That solo sucked.. Just like Neil Peart, he has no feel or chops any more.

  • Copeland fucking ROCKS!

  • @CyberDurden Couldn't have said it better myself ;^)

    -Stephen T.

  • I don't like his tom sound :/

  • @Danie11o Like it or not, it's def his signature sound

    -Stephen T.

  • @DrummerEtc That's true. Can't argue about that ;)

  • @Danie11o I agree. They sound like cardboard boxes. But excellent musicianship just the same.

  • cymbals are sexy! XD

  • @WhyNotDrum Absolutely! Still amazed he's stuck with Paiste all of these years...def part of his sound!

    -Stephen T.

  • Stewie....

  • @ConorSloane118 Yes...yes indeed!

    -Stephen T.
