The Start screen is just that, the Start screen. If you haven't noticed, there's still a desktop and everything for non-touch PCs. Everything Win7 does, Win8 does + more. You don't have a clue what you're talking about, so do the world a favor and keep your ignorant opinions to yourself.

Most people will believe the seller bs and don't even know about OpenOffice/LibreOffice. I have got many people to switch from ms office to LibreOffice and not a single one of them was disappointed. Advertising brainwashes the masses into believing in the microsoft hype.

Also, LibreOfficeis cross-platform!

@Laoch111 ok, well first of all, MS Office is cross-platform too, so when you say something ignorant like that it's hard for me to take you serious.

Second, realize that MS Office was the first big player in this area. Everyone "big name" office suite after was extremely influenced by the Office you're bashing.

Third, no other office suite has the features or the formatting power of Office. Also, Libre is missing multiple selection, & the interface is terrible compared to the Ribbon.

@Laoch111 and only a trial version of Office comes with most PCs, not the full package. People CHOOSE to buy the full version. Sure, there's the starter version, but for a person who really needs an office suite, that doesn't cut it.

And Microsoft hype? Please, MS has been bashed so much throughout the past years it's sad. I'm one of the few that has stuck by them. They're not making a huge comeback, yes, but you can't say "Microsoft hype" in the same way you'd say "Apple hype."

You can open a ms office file in LibreOffice but you cannot open a LibreOffice file in ms office.
