I played paintball seeing Nelspots, PGP's, KP2's, a MAC-1 Annihilator, and Line SI Bushmasters (Tech-Na Ball). I had my Nelspot and KP2 modified by Glen Palmer of Palmer's Pursuit Shop. I purchased a Grey Ghost from Colin Thompson of LAPCO when they were all custom made by him. I own #5. You have to differentiate between the old and new LAPCO guns. Also Phantom came 2nd and was never made one by one. They're both fantastic markers by 2 great guys. Colin's contribution to paintball is PRICELESS.

Good to see how the brass screws are. I read reviews years ago about how easy the screws are to lose, never quite understood what that meant, but I see in this video they have very short threads on them. And the assembly looks easy though not as easy as a Phantom. About being too scared to play stockguns versus semi, just go with one on a field and get shot on purpose! Get stung, modify your approach to playing, rinse-repeat. But play indoors, outdoors there's too much wind for stockgun play.

Hey Mike, Love lapco but just wanted to say the GxG 50 round hopper you're using (or brass eagle they both used the same design) is to put it bluntly is a bad 50 rd hopper, I would suggest the APP 50 round or the Winchester 50 round, I've used all 3 and my favorite by far is the APP

I know exactly what you mean... I shoot a VSC Phantom here in Miami (i use the 15 round stock class feed, but i use a ninja 13ci tank.) I can actually get it to shoot 295 +/- 3. And yeah, shooting modified stock class in florida is a pain in the ass. Everyone loves ramping, and full auto down here. I would love to see you review the phantom though. Great review, love the grey ghost, but I am a Mike Cassidy CCI fan. But I do use a lapco barrel on my phantom. ;)

For those who asked for a Phantom comparison:

They are both Nelson guns and therefore pretty similar. The Phantoms are imho a slightly better design (less srews) and come in many configurations and colours. The stock Phantom barrel is one of the best barrels in the industry and Phantoms are cheaper than the Grey Ghost. Customer support from CCI is also outstanding.

The slide trigger of the Grey Ghost might turn some people on, but there's nothing wrong with the Phantom's hinge.

Hey Mike, of course you can use HPA with the Grey Ghost. You just need around 850 psi output (that equals CO2 pressure), with a LP reg you'd have to exchange springs to get to 300 fps.

my fin phantoms broken the velocity adjusment screw came out and i cant get it in the correct way any one know how to fix it?

@PbFaNaTiC246 If you unscrew the velocity screw Tuned Port Compensator) from the bolt (more than 6 turns clockwise) and shoot the Phantom, you ruin the threads of the velocity screw. Get a new one from CCI and remember to adjust it properly.

The phantom and grey ghost are two completely different markets.

You can use the GG with HPA, you just need lighter valve spring or heaver hammer spring.

You also forgot to mention the fluted hammer.

I've got serial number 211. That is the 11th one made and the original owner of it was Carter Brown (of MCB). I'm pretty happy with it.

And Lapco has the best customer service ever. Lifetime warrenty, and everything is pretty much free to fix.

@JensenVids I have #260. Technically, since the first 10 were prototypes given to a pump team and never returned to Lapco, #211 was Ghost #1...

Needed to be serviced for damaged threads on the body, Lapco replaced the body/screw and gave me a tune up including some new o-rings and a cupseal at no charge.  Lapco CS is awesome!

Great gun, like it way more than I did my Phantom, and it's old-school enough to run a 6-pak on.
