Good GOD that sax solo had so much stank to it! I just love it, maybe they are not a traditional funk band...I think they are more of a mash-up of 60's-70's soul, jazz combo, contemporary rock, and funk. I am still in mourning, the suckass radio station 106.5 here in north carolina dropped the bob and tom show last year, which was like losing an old friend, whom without the bob and tom i never would have heard of these guys. So everyone who reads this and loves bob and tom, send clear chanel radio and 106.5 the end in charlotte, nc, an email or phone message and let them know how much they blow for canning the show and maybe enough hate mail will convince them to bring back the show!!!
As a professional musician I have to applaud how good these guys are. Pop music is raping the general idea of "music". These guys restore my faith that there are people out there that want to play real music. I play them as an example to my music students to show that music can be very very good and fun.

@TheNewsoul2 I'm sure that you know there are different types of funk, and not everyone is going to fit the stereotype. They are obviously not JUST a funk band, they have a lot of influences from other genres. To say they are not good musicians is just rude, they are all studio recording artists and professional musicians. I am pretty sure they have more creativity than lil wayne, just because they are singing about sex that makes them uncreative? Like 80% of all music is about sex or love...

@TheNewsoul2 I don't think you need to bring race into this because that really has nothing to do with how well someone can play funk or jazz. The bottom line is, they are playing music and having fun, just let them be. They have awesome soloists and put on a great show. Watch some other videos the Bari player is also a good soloist and is WHITE! :O The tenor player is obviously fantastic, and you can't say he isn't. Maybe you've heard better, but he is still pretty damn good.

The teacher would probably make you pick a new project, but their face would definitely be worth it =) I'm seriously considering my old high school a cow belt as soon as they are up for sale.

I talked to java mummy earlier today and he said that they were working on being able to sell the cowbelts they just need to figure out how to mass-produce them.

@TheGirlWhoGames Oozie Mummy on trumpet and lead vocals (purple top hat), Mummy Cass on lead guitar and lead vocals, Java (pronounced Jay-va) on percussion, Spaz on keyboards, Eddie Mummy on drums, K W Tut on bass (sometimes replaced by Ramses), Midnight Mummy on bari sax (somtimes replaced by The Flu), Teste Verde on trumpet in the back, and Rah on sax.
