@mikeinmass Solar is in a state of development. Like many developing industries,to subsidise solar (and allow the subsidies to reduce and expire over time) while it is still developing can pay great dividends long term.

That is what is wrong with oil and corn subsidies, they never had an expiry date.

Solyndra got drunk from government money and miss calculated their advantage due to the narrow supply of a certain chemical they didn't need, the supply increased and their advantage was gone and their gov money was invested in infrastructure with no demand on the horizon. @epsilon8998 Yeah, we will just have to see what happens with Ron Paul, but already there is a surge in awareness of issues because of him. 20 years ago most people didn't know what the FED was, now its a household word. Its going to be an intellectual revolution (hopefully), the establishment has compromised itself with corporate money, crippling its ability to serve the people in a time when the internet is making this fact embarrassingly obvious.
