Ive got a couple problems with this

First of all, rats and mice dont feel pain

Second, all of those dogs and cats are only there cause nobody adopted them

The only things I have problems with in this are the monkeys and the way the dogs and cats are being treated

First of all, rats and mice have a central nervous system. Therefore, the ability to feel pain.

Secondly, all of those cats and dogs are there bc people keep breeding more dogs and cats when there is already an overpopulation crisis and bc people choose to buy from puppy mills instead of going to the shelter.

The thing I have a problem with is your inconsistent ethics - A rat, dog and monkey all have the same capacity to suffer and feel pain.

i read/heard somewhere that a very large percentage of tests that are done on animals come back inconclusive.

these people just want the funding so they can spend it on other things, and just neglect and inflict so much pain and trauma on these animals.. and for nothing..

do you REALLY think animal tests work? how can we compare an animal's body to ours. do you think it is strange that we compare a dog's body to our body.... while we know that chocolate for example totally fucks them up? how are we the same? do you think your body in anyway resembles that of a rats?

i know animal tests don't work -- they're used to secure funding for labs. how do i know this? i'm a science major.

Are you a total moron or just mostly? Of course these tests work! our cells are above 99.9% identical, and our bodies, nearly that. Research is done in other groups like algae, because even their cells are similar to animal cells. Those mice with the cancer don't know the difference if its their or not, they are bred to be hairless and don't care about that either, but when this test finds a cure for cancer I bet your plenty willing to stand in line for it.

As you will undoubtedly know, being a modern day genius and all, before ANYTHING -- cosmetic, medical etc -- it must first pass human trials.

Also being a genius, you know the general order of scientific research; animal tests>IV tests (test tube)>humans. The second step is where the real information is found -- the first is just a way to secure funding for the latter stages.

Animals 'show' and express a lot more than test tubes do. Test tubes aren't able to experience pain, ellivated heart beats etc etc. Due to this, people bank-rolling research prefer this type of research as they're able to use it -- when speaking to le-humans -- as something basic to express; "the animals do this, this and this." test tubes are a lot more boring, and require a trained eye to understand them -- something the said bank rollers don't have.

As the video clearly states, many of these animals are set to die already, for instance in pounds. So why not learn something useful along the way, they don't feel any pain, the surguries are done with anesthetics. These really aren't pointless procedures, they aren't killing animals just to mean, they really want to learn something that can make a difference in human life because they do care

Remeber, just because an animal is in a shelter. Doesn't mean its going to die, it could be adopted. I do believe that an animal would rather be put to sleep peacfully, then inflicted with diseases and ailments that they have to suffer through. I don't understand why you think that these animals don't feel pain, because they do. We are also animals,we feel pain, so why wouldn't they? Animals can scream and cry so they must feel pain. And about the anesthetics, they ware off.

That's one reason i hate when animals are in shelters. The people who run the shelters can't guarantee that the animals are going to a caring, loving home. All of these animals are so beautiful and intelligent it breaks my heart to see them like this.
