  • @prissdoor . This was sang by Edward in the style of the 20's, Hence the high pitch and enunciation.

  • Hi I didn't know he sang and he had a lovely voice. What a shame. RIP Edward!!!

  • @suddeymur He made eleven more singles and several LP's too

  • Even sped up he sounds brilliant.

  • une superbe chanson

  • are you playing the record too fast...?

  • i like edward but i think this record is been played at the wrong speed

  • Dont you tards get it? The clue is in the poster's name.

This is fucking dross, sounds like he's singing on the bog in a public toilet squeezing a richard out. Godawful singing voice, I'd rather listen to a baby crying.

  • @guywilko he had great voice but on this record awful. you quit while the public remembers your quality. unless the record isbroken. ROGHARM he was G R E A T in blythe spirit singing if i give you fields of flowers rated that 11+++ this is rated -11++

  • @guywilko dommage pour toi, il était un excellent acteur et chanteur

  • Happy Birthday, Edward. You'd have been 80 today.

  • He had such a fine singing voice; but it undoubtedly matured with age. I very much enjoyed his speaking voice; it betrayed fine gifts as both singer & thespian. He possessed classicism not so common today; he had the right look & voice, but most importantly his talents surpassed any cosmetic attribute he might have boasted. Performers like him are badly needed these days; at the very least his body of work is essential viewing for aspiring actors. Thank you :)

  • you play 7" singles at 45rpm NOT 78, unless its a Hornby floppy demo disc (with spot for placing a 2 pence piece)

  • Anything with the words "Edward Woodward" stamped on it must be quality.

    As indeed this is.

  • An absolute treasure. He was a true talent among us all. R.I.P. dear Gentleman.

  • God Bless Edward Woodward. Actor, Singer, Gentleman and Gentle Man.

  • Although very famous Edward Woodward is hugely underrated both as an actor and especially as a singer. In either capacity he is excellent.

I didn't know he was a best-selling recording artist - but then I suppose he needed a sideline to take his mind off beating up heavies all the time!

  • His voice is that high - he is a tenor!

  • He was much younger than. As he got around his mid 40's his voice deepened alot. So he decided to do more acting.

  • I have all his records - his singing voice did not deepen with age . He was an actor through and through and multi-talented. Listen to more of his work and you will understand. We lost a wonderful human being yesterday how good it is to know we can listen and remember here at youtube
