  • i would love to give it a bash in my peel p50

  • I think the track on forza 4 looks too big it looks longer than it actually is and makes longer track times on fast cars

  • good time but youtube "Nascar around Nürburgring Nordschleife HD 1080p" and it beats it.

  • @funkymcmunky video game gay

  • @rml5229psu FUCK OFF THEN STOP LOOKING AT VIDEOS OF THEM KNOBEND

  • Someday I want to drive on this track...

  • Any1 wants to compete against my Audi S4 this weekend?

  • In 2065 that speed will be in mph

  • @killerbeau95 i wouldnt be suprised if it was greater

  • @Schumifreak9 it would. But I think the track should be left like it is now. It's a traditional track and it should be kept that way.

  • Damn!!!, mad skills...I make 8:00 mins, and you drive a 911 GT2 that cars are difficult to drive on curves you´re my hero, I raise my hat to you good sir !

  • dont they always have the longest lap avaliable

  • Driving starts at 0:58

  • Comment removed

  • joy to watch big bum cloth wahts the crap on the track at 8:10 bo

  • I do with my super fiat 147 that tows the hummer in the dakar rally

  • does anyone else think this track looks like a pig's head?

  • @Forresttree16 lmao!

  • This was only an 05!

  • @Schumifreak9 search for BMW F1 team, i believe they did a mild lap recently

  • in going Nurburgring this year sometime you lot better whach out !!! ;) im from england and i have to save germany is amazing !!!!!!

  • Nice Video! I also dive on the Nordschleife, but with a MINI JCW! It is also a lot of fun...

  • I'm visiting the Nurburgring this weekend! weeeeee! :D

  • @bayer89 me to! ill be there with a suzuki swift race car! and u?

  • @Driftuner I've been on the Ring on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with a new Mercedes C180K. Not really a supercar but nevertheless, I had a lot of fun! I did a Nordschleife with a full GP track under 13 minutes and it was only my 6th lap there :)

  • @bayer89 with a full gp track? how did u do that when the gp track was closed?..

  • @Driftuner Suprisingly, on Monday, August 01, both tracks were connected together! (at least between 12:30 - 1pm when I did my last lap and had to go back home). How happy I was! Especially because on the day before you had to pay addtional fee to drive around GP track and it wasn't combined with the Nordschleife.

  • in zonda R (default) I did it for 6:27.280 on keyboard (:D) and I rly sure that I could make this in 6:20-23.

  • 5:38 very nice

  • Just before watching this video I have made my personal NFS:Shift Nordschleife record which is 6:48.73 in Pagani Zonda R. The record for the real car is 6:47.50, it was made by Marc Basseng and it is the fastest lap ever on this track. I think that if I will learn the Nürburgring Nordschleife better than even the world record will be breakable in the game. However the main point is that when some day I will visit this track everything should look familiar to me (of course except for the car :P).

  • @darek4488 If you are playing the game to learn the track, play GT5 instead.. NFS: Shift --SUCKED--

  • @jackal575 Yeah, and buy a PS3. I'm not that much into it. I am putting most of my money in my car and PS3 would be a waste of it even though I've got Logitech G25.

  • Comment removed

  • @darek4488 the fastest lap is 6 minutes 11 seconds bro. Set by Stefan Bellof

  • @nikebauer1993 But that wasn't made in a production car.

  • @darek4488 i feel exactly the same way...

  • meu ídolo!!!

  • what game is this? the graphics are nice, mind showing us your specs?

  • @RnRPwN game? this is real life, my friend xD

  • I drove this lap many times.... in GT5....

  • The Veyron's 8.0 liter W16 engine produces about 987 hp (1,001 PS) with four turbos, while weighing about 882 lbs (400 kg). That's 1.119 hp/lb. For example, the Lexus LFA's 4.8 liter V10 engine produces about 552 hp without any turbos, weighing less than 359 lbs. That's AT LEAST 1.537 hp/lb. Even the Super Sport's 1,184 hp translate into 1.342 hp/lb. Who would have guessed a few years ago that Toyota/Lexus would make SUCH a great engine... Right there with Ferrari 458 Italia etc.!

  • @jakubkrcma

In 1993 Citroen made a 1,3 litre engine producing over 1300 hp. This technology is available to anyone that wants it. Today engines are chosen for reasons like brand identity, price, style. The most efficient engine today I think is the Koenigsegg with 1120hp out of 4.7 litres but there are plenty of 2 litres producing 4-500 hp in "normal" cars.

  • @Janusha The problem I see with the Veyron is the engine's total weight. That's just inappropriate for a sports car. When you realize that the Viper's 8+ liter engine got about 100 kg lighter through the years (from over 700 lbs to about 500 lbs), while gaining power from around 400 hp to about 600 hp, all that with natural aspiration, the Veyron's "compact" W16 is a monster. It is a gimmick, like the entire car built around it. It's just not right. If it was a 6 liter W16, same power, then OK.

  • @Janusha The CCXR way is THE way to go - twin-supercharged. No turbo lag, no stupid 4 turbos, "just" two superchargers. Since there are single-turbo engines with over 1,000 hp, the Veyron's ridiculous 4 turbos just underline the lack of reason, especially with the original car's LOW 123 hp/liter. It almost looks like they added weight on purpose... Madness

  • @jakubkrcma

You are comparing the most crude and basic engine in the world to a Bugatti Veyrons engine ? The Vipers engine is nothing but an ancient truck derived monstrosity and only these highly questionable nurburgring lap times and american patriotism has made us forget that it never tried to be more than a budget burnout machine right up til its very last season when they made a racecar out of it... Thereby earning it hero status in america. You see... Speed and power. Thats the easy thing.

  • Racecars have done virtually the same speeds since the 60s. Whats changed is technology, buildquality and styling. Which is exactly what americans dont like because it makes cars expensive. Putting 1000 hp into a car isnt the good thing about a Veyron. Any car can get 1000 hp for a tenth of the price. I know Koenigsegg well and visit them some times. They get their engineblock from a F1 supplier in England. The same people that makes the Veyron block and I think Mclarens 3.8 litre 600 hp engine.

  • @Janusha The thing is that since a humongous over-simplified truck-derived 8.4 can generate 600 hp AND weigh 500 lbs without any forced induction, it makes a sofisticated 8.0 with 4 turbochargers look strange with 987 hp and 882 lbs. The McLaren stuff - 600 PS from 150 kg (330 lbs) engine weight - is amazing. Even if the 150 kg most probably aren't complete. E.g. the GT-R cannot even dream about such power/weight efficiency - despite having essentially the "same" specs (3.8 twin-turbo V8 vs V6).

  • @Janusha I think the Nurburgring stuff for Vipers and Vettes is genuine. And it is pretty obvious the Veyron's time would kick ass as well, because there are several LOOOOOOOOOONG straight/almost straight sections, where it could seriously flex its muscle. But I still think the McLaren F1 would beat the Veyron with a humiliating gap. One funny question is whether the Veyron's 100 liter fuel tank would be enough for one lap of the Nordschleife... :-)))))))))))))))))

  • @jakubkrcma

Once you get past the patriotism there is nothing special about this over-simplified truck-derived engine. It started with just over 300 hp and now has 600. Out of 8.4 litres, thats not very spectacular. Once again its american brute force compensating for lack of sophistication, high tech and build quality. They choose it because it was big and CHEAP which is its only redeeming feature. Even cast in aluminium, the truck engine weighs much more than other engines.

  • To believe Dodge somehow stumbled upon the holy grail of automotive excellence on their barnyard budget requires a lethal dose of american patriotism. I think these Nurburgring laps and their relevance is wildly exaggerated. I mean... If you look at it. Who except Nissan and the americans are really at the Ring chasing records? Ofcourse the Viper went fast.. Because they made a Viper racecar for the job. Then flew it to the Ring with a fully factory backed racecrews. Same for ZR1 and Nissan GTR.

  • @Janusha Patriotism? I am Czech. I have never even visited the USA (or any other English speaking country). I just say that ~500 lbs for a ~600 hp engine is OK. It is NOT the best, but the thing is that the Veyron's engine weight is SO extreme that even if it had 2,000 hp, it just could not outrace substantially less powerful and lighter cars. 400 kg for an engine is MASSIVE. They are right when they say the car is light, because to keep SUCH an engine in place takes a ton of LIGHT material...

  • @Janusha The Viper's engine may be as refined as a hotdog cuisine, but if, for the price, it delivers, I find it OK. And although there are lighter engines with comparable or even higher power, there are also substantially less powerful comparably heavy or even heavier engines. I am solely a Toyota/Lexus owner (having driven many other brands, both privately and work-related - I used to measure real world car performance for living around 2005), so I like e.g. Yamaha-tuned VVTL-i 130 kg/192 PS.

  • @jakubkrcma

Yes I can see you are not american but you are repeating american spam and hype. You cannot possibly believe what they will tell you. If we are supposed to believe american hype then all their cars are best in the woooorld for whatever reason. Best on racetracks (nurburgring laps are bullshit) best at MPG which is bullshit, skidpads, slalom handling tests are bullshit. Most american facts are based on wild claims and patriotic feel-good-about-america spam.

  • The Vipers engine is a modded truck engine.. thats all there is to say about it. They will tell you its made out of flags and american dreams and therefore its amazing but its just a truck engine built on a REALLY low budget. While Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, all European supercars are built to showcase the latest in tech, buildquality and styling, american performance is cheaply built and appeals to patriotism and nostalgia. 2 different worlds. If the Viper is good... Then why is it dead.

  • Just look at motorcycles. The american market is dominated by Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, KTM, Suzuki, Kawazaki. Same for the enormous american ATV and Scooter market. Completly overrun by foreign brands. America does NOT produce any upper quality vehicles. America has Harley. Patriotism on wheels with saddlebags. Completly void of any road capabilities or technology. Sold entirely on patriotism and nostalgia. It kinda works for Harley... But basing their cars on patriotism is why they failed abroad.

  • @Janusha OK, I get your point. But I don't buy info from the producers (which also applies to all non-American producers). I want either personal experience or some info from people I trust.

  • Hmmmm all cars you are talking about are v10 to v12 they are all over the bmw that have a v8 now before in loaded they had a stright 6 and still did a laptime of 7.22 and it still are the record for that class why compare those cars with a six lol small dicks?Try todays m3gtr vörstiner kit and 620 hp v8 around this corse.

  • @slize10 Or try the even faster m3 csl hmmm....

  • @slize10 700hp :)

  • @slize10 BMW M3 is great, especially when tuned. Nobody disagrees with that. It's just that some people don't realize that the Veyron is simply too heavy to be ANY good around basically ANY track. That's what I am trying to say here... Even if it had 2,000 hp, it would have serious problems matching the times of MUCH less powerful cars with MUCH lower weight. One of the problems is that extreme power can ONLY be taken advantage of at extreme speeds, not in corners or around them.

  • @jakubkrcma

Except the Veyron had top position around TopGears tiny track WHILE being the fastest car in the world. Thats quite an achievement.

  • @Janusha The Super Sport is only leading the chart because the ooooooold McLaren F1 has not been done there. And the standard Veyron would be beaten by 458, LFA (dry) etc. I don't even remember what their excuse was not to do the 458. There SURELY are many cars that would nearly match, match or beat the Veyron even on a couple runways tied together. Not to mention a PROPER tight and twisty track, where the Veyron's weak point - weight - would KILL it. The twistier, the worse a Veyron would do...

  • And standard F1 had proper full cabin air-conditioning and a special lightweight Kenwood 10-disc CD stereo system. All within the ~2,513 lbs curb weight. And since we are in a Nurburgring video discussion, CAN YOU IMAGINE THE TIME EVEN THE STANDARD F1 WOULD PRODUCE HERE, NOT TO MENTION LM AND GTR??? Only a TOTAL suicidal maniac would push hard there though... :-) Funny I cannot find a Nordschleife time for the McLaren F1 anywhere on the net!!! The reason is simple: OTHERS COULD JUST GO HOME!!!

  • And I am not even mentioning LM and GTR, which shift the track performance even higher, despite having lower top speed and "poor" acceleration. The GTR's only competition in racing were purpose built pure racing machines, not just slightly spiced up road cars... The GTR's horsepower had to be actually lower than the regular F1's, due to regulations... Imagine what they could do with today's Lexus LFA engine technology (less than 163 kg vs 266 kg in the F1) etc. A SUB-1,000 kg super car!

  • Only the newcomers (Koenigsegg, SSC Aero...) seem to have a clue what car enthusiasts want - a handling super rocket that goes through corners like other cars go through straights, with a grain of salt, of course... But even CCXR and Ultimate TT weigh over 2,820 lbs (1,280+ kg), which is over 300 lbs heavier. Plus, they both have tons of extra power that can only be used throgh RWD at higher speeds. So, around a track, especially a tight one, they'd STILL probably lose!!!

  • i'd love to take my old car out on this track :/

  • Also: A guy who's boat/yacht repair/modification facilities are right next to my mechanic's garage actually had a Veyron. He sold it after 1 year, unimpressed. He literally called the car's feel DULL. He expected the greatest car ever, as VW/Bugatti claimed, but was let down by the actual experience... I bet he'd love the F1 or the Koenigsegg CCXR or the 458 or the LFA, etc...

  • BTW: You can get the original McLaren F1 for GBP 2,000,000.00 (USD 3,200,000.00) today. That's even more than Veyron SS (GBP 1,600,000.00 / USD 2,500,000.00). At least the Super Sport FINALLY has a better power/weight ratio. I find it amusing that there is no official Top Gear track McLaren F1 time!!! It's a BRITISH car and they COMPLETELY fail to support it with everything they have. :-( I can sense a thick roll of money in Clarkson's pocket from VW...

  • Most of the cars setting these Nurburg hyperlaps don't actually conform to noise emission standards, and wouldn't even be allowed on the track if not for some greasing of palms. So when you talk about psycho hypercars, also keep in mind that if you pulled up without a major coporate sponsorship, a police officer would write you a ticket for violating local ordinances.

  • @un4m3d4 In the regular mode (handling), the Veyron's top speed is about 350 kph and its coefficient of drag is 0.41. When you want to do the top speed, it drops to just ~2.6" above the ground and the wing is not used etc., lowering the drag to 0.36, which is still disastrously poor. And all that can only be done when the car says it's OK to do that. The Veyron is a gimmick rather than a proper giga hyper psycho car. :-) I can imagine a MUCH better car for the Super Sport's GBP 1.6 MILLION.

  • So amazing

  • @RezDezMugabi Yes They Still Race On The Short One, But It Would Be Awesome To Have The Complete Track Next Season (:

  • @11112213314415516617 the complete track is not allowed in official GP races except races like the 24 hours or nürburgring and stuff like that since so many people died on this course

  • They Should Put This Track In Formula 1 (:

  • Lap Record Starts At 0:57

  • that was a fucking incredible lap

  • at 5:45 I feel like the purpose of those turns is scratch the underside of your car

  • Wow...anything under 8min is Fast...7:15 is Smokin!

  • STFU yellow neck!

  • i did 7:15 too with a GTR Vs-spec!

    on GT5....

  • @zhevox great...... i did 6:32 :) and you can drive even faster ;)

  • @zhevox haha ya I'm doin a little bit of nurburgring battle myself on GT5 so far...

    1) ZR1: 7:09

    2) lexus LFA: 7:11

    3) 458 italia: 7:20........ I like to use racing hard tires though cause its a little easier :P

  • @willneverstop was the zr1 race modified and if it was what tyres i got a race modified zr1 with racing soft tyres around in 6:09

  • @1993gandy no all the times were of the cars BONE STOCK, just with racing hard... that's the fun of the game you get to compare different supercars with one another

  • americans will die on the first corner im sure. imagine having the worst suspension setup in this course =))

  • 270 WTF Holy crap

  • Dieser Edo Porsche...jedes mal wo ich auf der Nordschleife war bisher habe ich diesen Bienen-Porsche gesehen ! Weiß jemand was die sonst machen bzw. trainieren die dort für etwas?

    Traumhafter 993:)

  • @bmxmike215

well, sure you could do it in GT5. but iRL there's other factors that could affect your driving. you could get dizzy @ corners because of the G's...

  • @an0daw I was joking lol

  • this car sounds great. and quit talking about veyrons they're silly and Hideous. The only thing id do with a veyron is sell it to buy several cars, maybe ferrari, lamborghini porsche, cars i dont vomit when i look at them.

  • What a racing track, over 22 km long. It's still unbelivable that Formula 1 competed there in 1976.

  • Why is the video quality so bad? Spend a couple of bucks and get an HD camcorder for god's sake. Or is it one of those European PAL video issues? :D

  • Meh I've done better on the xbox

  • God I love the 911 GT2's. I dunno, there's something about Porsches that just appeals to me on a level that no other car does.

  • how the do these racing drivers trust their brakes sooooo bad!????!?!?!?!?

  • does any1 else freak out every time they see a good 'real' nurburgring lap?

  • They rented the track so they could try to break the record which means they kicked everybody else out

  • how come there are no other cars?

  • Damn, 280 on the back straight, thats impressive. That had to be KPH. I wonder what that works out to in MPH.

    Nice lap tho.

  • @robsta289 280:Mp/h = 450.616 km/h lol =D

  • Like the Nurburgring. I think it is one of the best tracks. See mine on the ring:

  • Edit: My post was meant as a response to @Ucster

  • The pavement at the Caracciola Karussell looks pretty bad. Is it as rough as it looks?

  • Yeah ... it is. We had to learn it the hard way. :P

Though we only had a Suzuki Swift with some changes (suspension, cage, weight reduction etc. but with a stock 125hp engine) and we still managed to loose control at Karussell. We only knew the track from video games and were somewhat surprised by how rough it is when you drive over it with a sport suspension and sport setup in general. We were kicked out of the Karussell but going only 55-60 km/h - no crash :P

  • The best time I got on GT5 for this track was about 9min.

  • @St8Solja 7:22 mate

  • This is well done. Screaming around corners at 120 would be pretty nerve racking, wow. Yes I understand it's km/hr. Only the Southern Americans are dumbasses. I'm assuming most people bothering to watch this have seen Top Gear. Alabama - case and point.

  • Oh my god that was amazing

  • PORSCHE !

    PORSCHE !

  • he makes it look sooo easy. To anyone who thinks you could do this, I guarantee you would die on the first straight

  • @yankeessuck309 Thats excessive bit, true most people cant drive like shizen, but saying die on first straight is very cruel. And have you ever even driven racing car? Sorry for poor english

  • @NJWilleke I was just trying to make the point that if most average and even above average drivers attempted a full throttle power lap like that with a 600+bhp car, you'd be going into a wall within the first 2 minutes. I drive a '95 nissan 240sx, and have driven some other performance cars. I am by no means claiming some type of superior position to other viewers just to be clear, just saying that he makes it look so easy that it almost fools you into thinking you could actually do it.

  • @yankeessuck309 Ooh ok very sorry for presumatation. That is very very true statement though, people really don't understand what driving a racing car is actually like.

  • @NJWilleke Its cool bro, by the way I think you mean "presumption," not tryin to be a grammar nazi, you mentioned your english wasn't good just tryin to help you out. You german?

  • @yankeessuck309 Haha yes I do thanks, no you're fine. No im not, but from your name it looks to me like you are...;P

  • If I ever visit Germany one of the top things on my list is to do a lap around Nordschleife

  • @Shotgunbobeh hi im from germany ... since last year it became very boring :'( of course the "grüne hölle" (thats the way we germans used to call it , it means green hell) still is the most awesome racing track in the world and you can still turn laps on it for 25 bucks but they've put speed limits everywhere :( but for unknown drivers thats very good cause there were around 12 deaths a year , ten of them cause of people loosing control of their car while driving a test lap ...
