you can go to the verizon website and organize a plan very easily.

internet isn't required because it isn't a smart-phone, i ordered mine today when i upgraded and overnight shipping is free, I'm not sure if its because I upgraded or what, but you do HAVE to have V-cast for this phone which is an additional 15 dollars in America.

I bought my LG DARE in July 08. The perfect phone. Same original phone since day one. ZERO problems. Its the same thing as the IPHONE. it does everything the iphone does. GPS. REAL internet. But costs less then the iphone and your BILL is less too. your not forced to sign up for that extra 30 dollar a month plan the iphone does and like the blackberry Storm. The dare is just the same as a blackberry. if someone emails you on a personal computer it will go straight into your text message inbox IF

it doesnt come with a touch pen. but u can by one for it and it works just as well. and i can get a protetice case for it to eliminate finger prints and scratches

no touch pen. nothing but phone. but its pressure sensitive not heat. so if you prefer you could use one of those pens. just make sure you dont scratch the screen, which unfortunately can mess us easily
