  • We're sadly not gonna get anything that looks half as good as this from Batman and Catwoman in TDKR with boring ass Nolan at the helm.

  • Arrgghhh?!?!?

This scene is too freeking unrealistic it does not belong in this movie. I thought the whole idea was to make a movie that stayed true to the book?

    WTF?

  • Great fight scene that didn't belong in this movie. Zack Snyder should direct Mortal Kombat or Spawn. Not complex and dramatic stories like Watchmen.

  • Now why can't they seem to make Batman move like that in the movies?

  • Silk Spectre II has no heels during this battle. Look carefully at 0:50, you can see it clearly :DD But yeah, awzum fight.

  • i dont think the roll over was nessacary at the beginning lol

  • I love this scene just because all these hardened criminals get defeated by 1 blow, even stupid crap like a sweeping trip has them on the floor for the remainder of the fight.

  • Is the synth sound as nite owl jumps from his ship sampled by glitch mob at the beginning of drive like you stole it?

  • Rorschach is the only cool man

  • WOW Malin Akerman is so badass

  • Somehow Silk spectre lost her stilettos in the fight.

  • You can definately see some 300 in this scene

  • crap

  • ugh, wat an insult to the book, man, wat and insult!!

  • @superhuman295 What an insult to the english language.

  • night owl looks like batman but they both are made by the same company

  • @TheCyberplAN yeah but that was the whole point, originally they wanted to use batman and co but dc didn't want to kill off some of their icons so they made a new bunch of heroes based loosely on existing ones.

  • @ClockworkSlave MMM good point

  • I wish I could been in there and beat up bad guys too! That would been a good thought about it!

  • Silk Spectre would sooo get it

  • The movie sucks compared to the comic book

  • @samxyx you kidding, right?

  • LOL the man looks like a batman :D

  • the slow scene here sucked, the coreography sucked, both nolan and snyder can't film fight scenes.

  • @lawrence4566 lets see you do it then

  • @SuperMicklovin sure!

  • the fight scene is jus wayyyyyyyyyyyy too choreographed.

  • some of the worst 'fight scenes' i've ever seen!!

  • 0:31 jackie chan?

  • How did Dan go from being an overweight mid-40s loser to a total arse kicking machine? Is this the power of having kinky costumed sex in floating owl ships?

  • @fobnation its certainly a great motivation, specially having Malin Akerman riding you, lol

  • @fobnation Well it worked wonders for me.

  • @fobnation Don't know until you try :)

  • @fobnation From the looks of it...YES! :D

  • 1:06 Wella because you worth it...

  • all those dude fell to the ground like little pussies...I personally think I'd enjoy havin that Chick wrap her legs around my neck ;)

  • wow I would let her kick my ass! XD

  • LAME! If you ever got in a fight IRL then you would know this is total crap! I hate these new move fight scenes!

  • @grrgrr308 *GASP* A movie based on a comic book not giving realistic fight scenes?! Someone sound the alarms!

  • Batman or Nite Owl..they're both pussy. I dunno..but they're the kind of superheroes with no "REAL" superpowers they just rely on their gadgets.

  • @JeuxRAE Um, actually it means they're better superheroes because they don't have to rely on fucking flying just by thinking or breaking things with their fingers...it means they have to WORK at it, prove their ingenuity, prove that they can push their mortal boundaries.

  • @SpectacleMaximus u gotta point there brother....maybe because I really like superheroes like superman and spiderman I never thought of that thing you said.

  • The movie was freakin boring. good story though. Fight scenes are fucked up

  • @JeuxRAE

Fuck yeah, the first kick the chick landed was so fake ... The asian guy didn't even try to sell it...

  • Nite Owl...Lol....Batman look-alike

  • first impression of nite owl. is that batman's son ?

  • i love to see how dozens of killers get their asses whooped by a woman..

  • Yer the slow motion does spoil it a bit.

  • The movier had better, and more, fights, the book had better, and more story.

  • Batman could kick nite owls ass

  • @SuperMicklovin Not just batman but his butler Alfred.

  • @HANGER187 if alfred had a shotgun (which he does in the comics) hed probably win. also in his younger days. alfred was a medic in the army so he has some combat training

  • @HANGER187 nite owls not THAT weak

  • ...it dosn't matter - nothing matters :)

  • @SuperMicklovin I think batman is night owls brother, they look very similar

  • @OriganalWebs well, theyre both from dc & the character is loosely based off of batmans mode of operation, so it doesnt want

  • Oh yeah look at 'lady latex' leading the way and night owl shoveling the shit! TYPICAL

  • @SuperMicklovin

u sure man? cause i think they a even tie completely

  • @hidan407 Well batman no's every type of martial art in the world while nite owl looks like he only does caporera ( yeah i don't know how to spell it)

  • @SuperMicklovin

wait....EVERY? i though it was 5. in that case, he destroys nite owl. the only one he will have alot of trouble in is ozzy. cause he demolished nite owl and rorshach without even trying

  • @hidan407 true true

  • @SuperMicklovin And you obviously don't know what it is. I'm not sure what Nite Owl's doing, but if that was capoiera (me either...) he's be kicking from handstands.

  • @MrThePandaman whatever

  • @SuperMicklovin Sure, but that's unfair because 'The Bats' doesn't fight in slow-motion

  • @Chucktanium haha true

  • One of the best fight scenes I have ever seen. This movie was so underrated, but it will go down as a cult classic among the comic geeks.

  • seriosuly thought the asain was jacky chan at 0:37

  • that is complete pownage!!!!!!! =)

  • i just watched this. Watchman is amazing, thumbs up if you agree =)

  • Old Boy - Hammer Scene. Beats this hands down.

  • japanese stuntmen

  • Some people say these people are fags in tights, yet, I look down on them and frown. :(

  • they dont need to slowmotion everything, makes it look strange and it looks pretty bad too

  • if you don't like it, simply.... stfu...

  • how come they don't get back up? the flipped guy wasn't hurt that bad. Nor were most of the others. Contrite.

  • @diddymuck for the sake of the plot XD

  • The first 2 hours of this movie sucked

  • They just FUCKED Eachothers Brains out and their Ready to Fight!!!!

  • Am I the only one who thinks the guy at 0:32 look a LOt like Jackie Chan?

  • Ever notice that Night Owl 2 partners with everyone Silk Spectre, Rorshack, and Comedian except for Doctor Manhantan and Ozymandias he's partnered with everybody.

  • This film kind of missed the point about it's costumes, which in the book were supposed to look lame to highlight how ridiculous the idea of superheroes is

  • @WillAndersony

Director Zack Snyder said he intentionally changed the costumes because he felt the audience might not appreciate the "naivete" or the originals. Instead, he opted for the characters' costumes to have a "modern and realistic" look in terms of the overall superhero aesthetic. Still, I prefer SIlk Spectre II's movie costume better than the comic book version; it made her appear more powerful and capable.

  • Could you imagine if manhatten did this scene.? it would be about .01 of a second for this video to take place lol !

  • lmfao! how da hell do you run up on someone full speed just ta get stepped on! that shit was too funny!

  • why would it be like kung fu are you retarded these are just normal criminals e.g. brawlers so they are easy to take care of why is that so diffiuclt to understand it's supposed to be effortless for nite owl and silk spectre

  • @bluevenom50 Adrenalin affects your bodily functions. You loose higher processing power. You'll stop being able to understand language, or being able to speak. You loose fine motor control. In a very real sense, you don't have any control over your body when your in a fight. It falls back on whatever training it has, and it runs on autopilot. Any fighting style that does not take this into consideration (be it karate or kung fu) will thus have a huge hole in its function.

  • They look so... lame in those tight costumes... are all heroes gay?

  • Is this a prison, or a roomful of asian stuntmen auditioning for "The Cheap and Fake Movie"?

  • Im about to read this part in the comic

  • this or kick ass? which is better??

  • @ArsenalDave04

    kick ass

  • Who really gives as shit how kung fu-related it is, its a kick-ass fight scene end of story. -_-

  • shit was weak

  • It's from Zack Snyder who made 300, he uses Slow Motion there too. Looks cool btw

  • 0:22 kinda reminds me of zombies...

  • I know what you mean, They look like there struggling and the punches and kicks are incredibly slow, compare them to a jackie chan film and you'll see what I mean, there slower than average punches

  • well if you watched then you would notice that they are doing half of it in slow motion

  • @cod4isthebest324 I know thats 1 thing that makes the fight scenes so bad, it dosn't need every single punch in slow motion, and the fighting moves are just plain punches and kicks altogether, batman fights are better, TMNT fights are better (jesus crist), the slow motion just takes the feeling of pain away from the movie, watch a Tony J/Bruce Lee film and thats what you call fighting

  • @DeathStrike126 The slow motion enhances the experience. Otherwise they wouldn't have done it in the movie. I personally loved it, and yes I've watched Tony Jaa films and Donnie yens. They are incredible, but why would you want every movies fight scene to be the same? That's just to redundant. If you liked 300's fight scenes, but not watchmens then your just contradicting yourself. If you liked neither then you are simply biased.

  • you just dont get it. it's that simple.

  • Don't get what, Brainiac? I've been watching kungfu films since I was I child. I do martial arts, gymnastics and dance, so I know good choreography when I see it. The fights in Watchmen are terrible. They are muddled, poorly shot and the characters are unconvincing.

  • oh yeah? still u dont seem to realize this is a awesome fight scene. i've watched kunfu films as well and i know good coreography myself when i see it. i think this is awesome in a different way than donnie yen or tony jaa films. for you it seems to be too difficult to understand different styles of action scenes. it's okay to be a little bit simple. not all of us are supposed to be equally smart.

  • And what exactly is great about this fight scene? Explain it to me. Because all I see is a boring tracking shot with half assed punches and kicks that my mom could probably do after a day's training. Seriously, Power Rangers had more exciting fights than this.

Cheap slo mo effects and and electric guitars are no substitute for the thrill an audience can get from watching well constructed action.

  • well your mama must be talented if she could beat this. But u need more than just a good martial artist to make a scene look good. in this scene the camerawork is very professional and the actors are also good. its true they are not even close as impressive as jackie chan or jet li or such true martial artists. but these actors do their job in my opinion. its hard to explain it to you if you fail to see it yourself. if you see this scene the way i do it simply kicks ass.

  • i guess the punches are kind of half assed.. like the criminals they were fighting kind of seem like sloppy fighters for example when the first guy runs up to the silk spectre you could tell that he wasnt going to do anything but just run up to her. but thinking about why i liked it, the music did help and they just have this badass attitude, like how the two just keep walking forwards as they go through fighting all those bad guys.

  • and theyre doing all sorts of movement too so it looks like theyre not just standing there.

  • ive never seen a "kung fu" movie in my entire life, but im just trying to give my opinion of both sides

  • @Sambucca It's actually not poorly shot, and the characters are plenty convincing. If they ALL knew kung fu, now wouldn't you say thats unconvincing?

  • The fight scene is just as awesome as the music, song please?

  • The music is "Prison Fight" by Tyler Bates.

  • BOSE

  • somebody HAS to post the scene where dan and laurie make mincemeat outta 30 of those gang members

  • It always kills me how they have women fighting with their long hair flying everywhere in these action flicks. Nothing ever gets into their eyes, no one thinks to yank the hair to fuck up her neck. I guess it's all to make them look feminine.

  • i hate slow motion. it made it look so weak.

    just fucking fight!

  • Slow motion give a kick ass look to the scene

  • @CapStillAlive this movie is an artistic gem. saw it in blu-ray. i thought the action sequences were decent enough (possibly because I had it played at a slightly faster speed -_-*)

  • @CapStillAlive agree wiv u

  • @chocolytesprynkles shut up it looks awesome

  • @chocolytesprynkles Its because Americans dont know how to fight. They hire chinese ninjas to choreograph a day and slow mo the rest of the film in fight scenes to save money.

  • @HANGER187 how does slow mo save money?

  • @Ansem117 Time consumption. Less action sequences and camera angles. You can make ONE segment slowed down and stretch it to save time and money on payed camera men. If you dont do film work, you wouldnt understand. Good film makers know how to budget and schedule their movie to the T. To know all is to know when to cut corners.

  • @chocolytesprynkles Me too,i only liked in the "Matrix era"now its getting annoying

  • @chocolytesprynkles I totally agree with you. If the whole movie's slow motion scenes were sped up to normal speed, it would've been a much better movie, and about half as long.

  • @chocolytesprynkles usually it does, but in this scene looked fine.

  • I like how this scene is so eerily similar to the king lenoidas scene in 300, slowed down fight moves than sped up at the last second of impact, and almost the same type of electric guitar/symphony music at :35

and Nite Owls king leonidas jump of death at 1:00

it helps that the same director from 300 is also the director of watchmen lol.

  • Like Dave Chapelle said...Everything looks better in slow motion. LOL

  • @tomcatastrophe

Especially when you're doing it really, really fast.

  • American cops are pretty lame, superheroes have to do all the job :-D

  • the minutemen were cops

  • that fight scene wasnt very good

  • @FranticUprising Kidding me? That was one of the best american performed fights ive seen in a while. It wasn't the typical american cuts that hide the action. It showed exactly what was going on and the performers made their strikes look good and strong

  • Yeah it wasn't up there with awesome fight scenes from the films of yesteryear, but I always thought (I haven't read the book yet) that it was just to show they're back in the game of superheroics. It's short and sweet and to the point.

  • it looks better when its brighter and not in a crappy resolution

  • This movie was great

  • Heh, I love the grin that Nite Owl gives Spectre right before they begin the fight.

  • One thing I wish this movie explained was how in the hell did all these Watchmen learn how to fight so efficiently? They're practically martial artists to the extreme, yet Nite Owl has a phD from Harvard in engineering and Ozymandias runs his own company? How could they have enough time do all their work and at the same be fucking gymnasts???

  • It takes about 3-4 years of hard practice to become I guess you could say "combat-worthy" in any martial art. This means about 2-3 hours a day of practical no-nonsense training roughly five days a week or more. In theory someone who got into the superhero biz during their mid-twenties and stayed active for a decade or so would be fucking dangerous in hand-to-hand combat. I've seen retired old veterans (in their sixties and seventies) that could break a man rather easily.

  • i`d agree absoloutly ... my 56 year old boxing trainer told me some tricks , i`ve never developted and later my muay thay teacher , who was 50 years old , also just beat the hell out of us ^^

  • My grandat was in the New german Army , i punched him on the back softly. he turned around fast and punched me in the face , kicked my foot away and droped me to the ground. He then appoligized , not realaizing what he did till it was too late. But it was my own fault kinda ....

  • My friend was a hand to hand combatives instructor for special ops. They train special ops to be very deadly within a few months and pros within 6 months. You dont need to train 3-4 if youre being trained a certain way.

The military doesnt have 3-4 years to spend training a SEAL or Delta operator to be good. It gets done a lot faster than that. Training to kill is much more direct than training to 'fight'

  • ...pssst...I have a secret to tell you...it's because watchmen isn't real.

  • WOW!!! You're a fucking genius! Thanks for pointing that out, I wouldn't have ever guessed that.

Cmon man, we don't need smartasses like you when we're actually referring to a discussion on the storyline.

  • I know that Silk Spectre II took martial arts training since she was young girl and that her mom made her train every day, so that may explain her skills but i don't know about the others.

  • i think the audio is a little off

  • silk spectre's shoes become heels and then flats again notice ...

  • Dude, that's her superpower..

Creating different kinds of shoes out from nowhere.

  • lol

  • Men dream about being able to fly, become invisible and have a 5-pound trouserpython, but what Silk Spectre's got is the superpower that every woman dreams of.

  • OK xD now i want to see u fighting in 7 inch heels ! i tried to explain it to myself in that way: she is a woman ... woman have many shoes ... she changed them at a moment we didn´t notice cause the cam was off :D

  • I seriously doubt she has 17,5 centimetres

  • best movie ever

  • Aw, it was okay on it's own merits. But I was disappointed when I compared it to the books. The film focused way too much on the visual aspect (which makes sense, that's Zach Snyder's style). The book was much more about it's content than it's format, with (I thought) fairly minimalist visuals. The art is very simple in some ways, since it wasn't trying to wow it's audience with it's style.

The film was like "LOOK EXPLOSIONS AND LATEX AND SEX AND A BLUE PENIS!!!!"

    Which is okay too.

  • "in your darkest hours"

  • Good as a movie, terrible as based off of book.

Watch and do not even THINK about book or try to compare.

  • right after this scene silk spectre and nite owl went home and had sex

  • Synder is a poor director overall. People are sitting here saying, "Oh, Dawn of the Dead and freaking 300 are great movies!" Do people honestly believe that 300 was a good movie? It was incredibly badass, and it made me want to strip naked and kill people, but was it good? Nope. Snyder may make visually stunning blockbusters, but he has little to no respect as a filmmaker. Watchmen cemented this. Seriously, what an awful movie.

  • i agree with you all the way upto when you said the watchmen was a bad film

  • Well it didn't hold a candle to the novel.

  • @a11natura1 i want to see you make a good movie...err wait a movie, then we will care about your opinion

  • sorry for you guys that love strong men in leather underwear but watchmen was better

  • 300 is way better than this if u dnt believe me type 300 fight scenes you guys will want to eat pussy after watching it

  • spot on, 300 i think had the best fight scenes i was blown away and was left wanting to be a spartan haha

  • Yup but this fight scene here sucks.

Watchmen just has to be Snyder's weakest film yet out of an overall good resume

  • common man this movie is nothing "but" substance! these fight scenes were just put together so it wouldent have to be a pure mystery

  • this fight was in the comic

  • i know but if i remember correctly it just showed nite owl and silk spectre fighting in one or two panels

  • yeah it did, but the way the comic portrayed it, they really didn't run into that many people, so i think the movie more accurately showed them running into a lot more people, not just one or two, so (in my opinion) adding a little extra fight was both cool because the movie was a little boring and more realistic with running into more people, cause remember in the comic they looked a lot of places and ran into damn near nobody

  • What the heck kinda move did Silk Specter 2 pull on 0:14 ? Hot babe stance on 1:37

Well those guys feel bad getting their asses kicked by a woman. What kind of martial arts is that?

  • Anyone notice the similarities between this and Leonidas' slow-mo fight scene? Even the music is almost identitcal!

  • same director

  • 1:21 epic punch

  • Somebody have obviously never seen Fight Club
