Hartelijk bedankt voor het posten vam Lydia on YouTube. Heb haar als teenager enkele keren ontmoet toen zij in de late 50s in Zaandam kwam zingen met de lokale band De Rollers. Her voice and her songs bring back great memories to those days. Thank you so much.

I happened to come across this u-tube recording. Thought she had a unique voice. akthough from the late 50-60 era. Still wondered why I had never heard of her before. After checking found out she was Lydia Tuinenburg and was popular basically in Duch musice

De single van Lydia heeft 2 A kanten zowel Send Me The Pillow als Heartbeat zijn van uitzonderlijke klasse. Mooi toch dat in de vroege jaren zestig dit talent in Nederland al in staat was zulke geweldige kwaliteit te leveren.

Als ik dit nummer op een beurs tegenkom, kan ik de verleiding om hem te kopen niet weerstaan. Gewoon grote KLASSE.

She is born in Indonesia, but repatriated to the Netherlands and made a good career, supporting with her songs the spirit of many repatriants in those dark days. She eventually emigrated to the States where she passed away (year not known)..Yes this was her best hit.
