  • JOhn travolta?!

  • Estaría más guapo si no cantara.

  • engolado.

  • sounds like remstine!epic!

  • try standing next time, less strain on your vocals.

  • john travolta???

  • you look very similar to john travolta

  • well done.

  • BAAAAAAAADDD!!!!!

  • Try openmind5050 I give ol' man a try . Very nice voice here - just needs to be trained.

He has 4 times what he give us here. My vocal coach would love to teach this guy.

  • more like "i get weary and sick of FRYIN" hehehehe :) sounds pretty good

  • definitely bass, this is bass which is much deeper and spooky then baritone which is smooth and creamy

  • He's gotta be Russian...Men don't have voices like this anymore, except in Russia and surrounding countries...good stuff!

  • He's Val Kilmer.

  • 0:20 REALLY??? DID YOU LISTEN TO THAT RECORDING.

  • Russian?

  • I sing like this during and after the final turd is being unleashed from my ass.

  • trying way too hard. just sing with a natural voice. jeeze

  • Great set of pipes man!

  • i was gonna say val kilmer

  • Boy... you cant sing! No no!

  • A ese ritmo seguro termino con la garganta destruida.

  • du är från Sverige va?

  • great ending, but the notes would generally come out better if you opened your mouth more. you've got great potential and lessons would do wonders.

  • @helencheddar Nope

Nope. That's like saying hacking more holes in an acoustic guitar will make it louder. It won't. And it'll put more strain on your throat - try opening your mouth as wide as you can, does your throat feel more relaxed or more tense?

  • @Sodhats what i mean is that if there's no space for the sound to come out, then it won't.

  • @helencheddar Although I agree the end sounds fantastic. Sing in that range more, the rest sounds too low for you.

  • Holly shit, it's a John Travolta, Val Kilmer clone!

  • @TucoRamirez2 do you know what a clone is?

  • @SaileAway Absolutely. A clone is an exact genetic copy of a plant or animal.

  • stevevandien is right......search for that teacher......you still have a extraordinary voice

  • You have fine potential. But you are tightening your throat and forcing your sound past that constriction. (Used to do the same thing myself:)) A good voice teacher can help you drop the excessive tension and develop your excellent natural voice. Such teachers do not grow upon trees, but they do exist. I hope with all my heart that you find one:) --

  • Ele nao alcança as notas mais graves típicas de baixo e não de barítono. Eu sou barítono alcanço essas notas graves, mas nao é fácil.

    Esse dá pro gasto....

  • Jhon Traboltta... 2 days after die.

  • John Trovatore :D:D:D

  • he's groaning the low notes.

  • If Kurt Russell and John Travolta had a love child....this is the child. Looks just like them. He needs a voice teacher. Voice has potential

  • he is so demonic like Cesare Siepi or G. London

  • Just because you can hit the low notes doesn't mean you should. You're vocal frying the lower notes and it sounds like arse, don't do that. Sing in your tonic range, you sound quite good in it.

  • @sausagedogmcgee

may be true what you say, but he can mix chest voice and head voice. What he must do is adding moor high armonics to his low range. And he can do it.

  • bass

  • the face of youtube ;D nice voice dude

  • 존 트라볼타 닮았어요!! ㅎㅎㅎ

  • Plante des patates et surtout enlèves celle dans ta gorge:elle va germer dans ta tête !

  • he looks like Josh Brolin from The Goonies.

  • well, you seem like a baritone to me, but you're forcing a little with the lower notes. Your voice doesn't sound that natural.

  • @flaze3

O.K., the lower notes may be forced, but no everybody can do it with sufficient power, his voice is intresting

  • You didnt hear a real bass-baritone youtube.com/watch?v=c386lcZbCXk

  • Actually, quite good. But I agree with the folks advising you not to strain the voice too much.

  • wrong key

  • john travolta! hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • He sounds like the stereotypical jewish old man.

  • his voice is not natural, he is trying to hard to get his voice down you can see this by his very hard facial expressions which are very unrelaxed he is going to do demage to his vocal cords if he keeps doing this. He need to find were his real voice is at and go with it

  • LMFAO!!!!

  • oohh he looks so angry all the time hahaha guess that low voice attempt had him suffering... nice try though some parts sounded fake... not so natural voice...

  • Good job man. Fth the people that say you suck... I say they post their own version. That song is tough. Not as hard as "Promises in the dark", but who could sing that (4 octs) but Pat, in her prime?

I say you did a GREAT job. Thanks man.

  • wr6ng 2ey

  • oh my god, john travolta sings

  • nice voice, mister

  • try doing this in higher key, and you'll find it much more comfortable and more expressive in delivery.

I think you have very good voice. Just a suggestion.

  • noob idiot asshole Fck your mom

  • just wondering how long you've been singing?

  • Beautiful voice, bass. But the band singing this song does not allow us to say something about his voice. Do not take any of the top notes

  • Have you ever seen an actual live black person before?

  • Who has?

  • Wonderful, yet faulty, at the same time. MAGIC, because you are singing in a language not native to your mind. I knew Clara Rockmore. Paul Robson was her best friend, for decades! Now, she would be MOST interested in teaching you Paul's song (it is his most famed song). YOU have the natural, good voice. Training and experience will make you a great singer. Listen to Paul. He is you, in a different color of skin. Both of you are honorable, honest men. PM me, anytime, for more stories?

  • you can't sing!

  • Ouch. The Russian accent is a nice touch, but the lower notes are foreced and not audible.

  • you're a buffo bass not bass baritone

  • John Travolta?

  • hey, de pana q se parece xD

  • @GlouwBug LOL!!!!!

  • I'm can hit the low notes a smidge more comfortably than this , sounds like you'd be more comfortable singing dean martin's range, who's barritone isn't he? That's a good range for me anyway, the lowest tones on this h27HRNm_r4U are just at the lowest end of my range, is cohen a bass-barritone at this stage?

  • Pretty impressive!

  • Dramatic baritone. Not a bass-baritone, Btw, the low G sounds very stuffy and forced. If this were on stage, it would not be audible. Relax the jaw and think of going up with the low note, not forcing it down. This would help and add more volume to it.

  • in an eight section choir, i would label him as a bass 1, good job any way you look at it. Tip: When singing your vowels, and in general, drop your jaw a little bit more.

  • this guy has incredible natural talent; hope he studies voice

  • awesome!

  • you must be kidding...this guy goes pretty damn low...i wanna sing that low eventually...i guess im a regular baritone

  • he utilizes vocal fry.

I dont think he is a tenor, but i dont think he is bass baritone though

  • would u call him a "regular"baritone?...if that term exists that is

  • dunno, i'm not professional :) and this guy also and of course one cannot tell exacly the type of voice of this guy by this video

Maybe he is dramatic baritone, dunno (btw, there is a good classification of baritones on wiki)

  • probably a lyric baritone lol.

  • i don't think so.. :D

  • He is a baritone. I dont see why he wouldnt be classified as a bass baritone as well.

  • горлодёр в своё удовольствие, голос хороший без всякой школы пения...

  • val kilmer ??? singing bravooooo

  • This made me laugh outta my fucking chair!

Actually does not sound to bad either.

  • work on ur low notes

  • singing needs improvement, but you're fucking hot dude

  • nice voice man!!

  • what does it mean to plant taters?

  • "taters" is short for "potatoes"

  • Not like Travolta. Like Val Kilmer... =)

  • I am sure if you really take singing seriously you wil be a GREAT !

  • he kinda looks like John Travolta

  • @willzum1 : thats´s right :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • @willzum1 LOL thats the first thing I said

  • @willzum1 AGREED

  • @willzum1 I was thinking the same thing

  • @willzum1 More like Steven Seagal...

  • @willzum1 omg i thought the same thing when i clicked on this!

  • @willzum1 he does

  • You should sing this in the right key for a bass or bass-baritone. G is the low note. You sound like a bass-baritone to me... when I was in school I also had easy low Ds... but ultimately it's the color as you mature that will determine your voice type along with range. Your voice should be clear and bright as possible and a natural darkness will be inplace if you are a bass or bass-baritone. most of the time I try to imagine being a high baritone and let me voice project naturally.

  • HE DONT PLANT TATERS

  • he don't plant taters

  • He don't plant taters, that's for true.

  • this is the third most racist thing I've seen today

  • What were the other two?

  • He has potential for sure, but a bass (or even bass-baritone) he is not! Just because one can more or less reach extreme notes, on either direction, does it mean that you are a particular voice. The low notes sound like a crude vocal fry (strohbass). They probably won't get much better. In a higher tessitura, he might be able to achieve maximum development. He should work on developing the top of the voice (head voice, etc) to access the high notes. We could use a new High/Verdi Baritone!

  • I totally agree with you. Just because someone can hit a note doesn't mean he should. And he was intentionally putting excessive chest to sound deeper. It's true that the lower you can go, the higher you can go, in terms of baritones. He sounded better and more comfortable when singing that B then that low G.

  • It's a low D, not a low G...he is a bass baritone at least. Compare this low D to the ones in the "Bass cage match - Osmin's low D" video...those are all operatic basses, and their low notes are no better than this guy's.

What's really amazing is how he turns Showboat into the Song of the Volga Boatmen...

  • Certainly low G. I´m a normal baritone, but i can sing it, too.

  • I think you have an excellent voice.

  • he don't plant taters

  • You're a high baritone -- sorry dude... It's not about what notes ya got but where they sound right, and these aren't where your voice naturally sits. If the top range isn't opening up for you, it's just a matter of opening up in to head voice, and I'm sure that will sound 'right' for your voice.

  • High baritone? Are you serious? I sing bass 2 in school and I can't even go as low as he can. Then again, the lower part of my range sounds better than his, but still. this guy is like a bass-baritone.

  • he dont plant taters

  • Got anything else?

  • not only is a fine voice....the lad is cute, and funny and looks very nice guy....is he mimicking or is his real voice???? becaue if it is......OH MY GOD!!!

  • not bad. i think its one of the hardest songs to sing of all time. Not many people can hit those low notes. Good effort

  • he don't plant taters

  • tres belle voix!!! magnifique!!! mis encor beaucoup de travaille :s

  • i like taters

  • HE DON"T PLANT TATEEEEEEEEEEERS

  • I'll upload some of my dad soon - but knock this young man - he just needs some coaching! Keep it up lad - you just need pointing in the right direction

  • muy apretado. falta soltar más la voz. muy engolado. tiene materia prima, perole falta mucha escuela.

  • you started too low. stand up, don't sing sitting down, especially leaning backwards. breath support problem. don't frown unless you're actually singing something angry, like in the middle part. go practice, and delete this, and post a better version. you can do it!

  • I agree, and lose the vibrato, your notes are fairly ambiguous.

  • he don't plant taters

  • he don't plant taters

  • this video rocks

  • outstanding!!! omg!!

  • You look a little like young John Travolta - just that he was a tenor. And you don't song bad, but the song is not your style. You should sing Figaro or Don Alfonso or stuff like that... Your height is really beautiful!

  • Not enough feeling and empathy.. good singing, but.. only technique.

  • white people can sing anything black people sing, it just depends on the person. If you dont believe me watch O-mazing Grace

  • it sounds ok for a white guy. I think because its a "black" song, white people cant do it. Its to heavy. nice try

  • ditto about getting some training, but you've got natural talent certainly. See what your range is. Go up on "scared (or feared) of dying", then sing the final phrase in a higher voice. that movement from low to upper is what makes a bass voice really dramatic.

  • Could you extend on that?

  • the phrase is "I'm tired of living and scared of dying, but old man river..." if he get into another register with scared of dying, and then stays there for the last phrase, you get a more dramatic effect. Beyond the technical aspects, singing is about getting a response from the audience, stopping the show.

  • Thank you for the reply, much appreciated

  • Wow, that was great. You should look into getting some lessons or reading up on how to refine and improve this excellent potential. Good luck. Never stop singing.

  • Definitely get some voice lessons, you have alot of potential...Also, remember that this is to be sung by an African American and we don't do Black-Face Roles anymore. Just because Renee Flemming can sing Summer Time doesn't mean that everyone else should join her.

  • take classical voice you can be good

  • A song song like this can be sung more ealely, if you stand. Futhermore i'd like to give you the advice to sing the song higher it will make it easyer for you. Sorry my English may be not very good, I'm German.

  • Woooow! Deep voice! I wish mine was this deep too :)

  • There are lots of powerful and week opera singers and a huge competition. This guy has a deep and rich voice, some "devilish-looking" outside so he should stick with METALLICA ;)

  • Beautiful Soviet Sound!!!!
