  • There is a lot of prejudice about Chinese cars going around, it reminds be of the same prejudice that existed about Japanese cars back in the 1980's, but look at them now.

Prejudice will not change the FACT that this is a successful crash test.

  • жестяная банка это все пиар. у нас эти машины называют БЕДА!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The speed of this C-NCAP test is 56KPH. EuroNCAP is 64KPH.

    @Nosteratees you fail at math

  • there is an old word in china. every cent you spend will get the equal quality. hope people in western couonty don't buy cheap stuff from china. go spend more and buy something good from china. people who is greedy and want get good stuff, this is impossible. Also what they did help the black heart business ( i really don't think they can qualified this titile )boss survive in china.

  • I am a chinese borned in 1990. came to us in 2008 for study. please don't buy very very very cheap things from china if you don't care about durable. I am a normal people in china, we chinese have experience to tell if it is a good thing or worthy to buy. we chinese also don't buy very cheap things in china either. we would rather pay more and buy quality. we also hate some bosses of factores which produce cheap stuff . people they have no good hearts, they only want to make money.

  • This is C-NCAP, not EuroNCAP. Which basically means half the speed. Title is misleading.

  • EuroNCAP never tested BYD F3,

    this video > lie 100%

according my humble opinion, results in crashing BYD by EuroNCAP technology would be deadly fatal for it's driver...

  • The only thing that stops me from buying chinese cars is their outright lack of design originality. I guess they thought that people could be fooled in the west for buying a car that looks almost exactly the same as a 2003 corolla. But unfortunately copying others is just lame and shows how much of a fucking dimwit you are.

  • pretty much the same like the 2003 Corolla, but.. i think Corolla is better :D

  • yeap. the test is okay!

  • @whizzPOOM maybe test is okay, bacause it IS NOT the EuroNCAP, so speed could be less than 64km/h. DO NOT TRUST this video!!!

  • looks pretty safe to me.

  • what crap

  • "reek"

  • The cheesy, unimaginative, dull Chinese products wreek of fraud, remind one of vast exploited labor pools who know not of human rights and dignity, and further, the products are often unsafe, have dangerous levels of lead, and/or other toxins. In the quest for material wealth and prosperity, the Chinese have ignored human dignity and the environment. Mao would be pissed. All considered, Chinese products are creating a stench in the Western world. Shameful and reprehensible. Scandalous.

  • Can anyone find the original video? =D

  • brilliant!

  • And it is THE #1 selling car in China

But Toyota Corolla is the #1 selling car of all-time, worldwide

    So............

  • This IS a Toyota Corolla. Not a Chinese car

It's being sold AS a Chinese car

It's about as Chinese as Snoop Dogg

  • can anybody say: TOYOTA COROLLA?

  • This Is The Best Chinese Car

  • Not bad....for a chinese car.

  • Made in CHina = crap.

  • @muhablaha, samsung, sony, hp, canon, dell, lg, whirpool, toshiba, general electric, apple, etc etc are all MADE IN CHINA jeje

  • @PierceBrosnanXXX those are made under their strict control (even though still by chinese). This car was made in China by Chinese engineers, which is crap definitely. ALSO man, those products have become much more worse than they used to be when they were producing them in Japan or USA. Much more.

  • BYD F3e electric or BYD F3DM with 5 stars crash test rating = dream car.

  • @DtorBill Well said,exactly my opinion :D

  • Idiot, this is not Euro NCAP and there is a small question... To be frank, I wouldn't buy a Chinese car in my life... First of all, the Chinese Government is using its own people to build cheap products.... The economy increase but not the salary... you think that's fair? Not at all and that economy is weak, more than we can imagine... And second... the cars are not cheap just because of the labor force but also de quality. And another stupid point... Pathetic to use the design or others.

  • 電池メーカーから自動車産業に参入した会社だっけ?日本やばいな。かなり高い完成度じゃん

  • @dragonhideo

  • Hmm. Thats pretty much it....

It's getting late for me too.

    Good night!

  • Tesla and BYD uses different battery technology. So it is surprising at first. Especially when it's coming from China.

But when you compare the numbers. BYD vs Tesla, it's not match.

BYD is the worlds first mass produced plug in hybrid vehicles.

Let me ask you, how easy is it to get even a Tesla Roadster? Pretty hard right?

So how much more easier would it be to get a Model S? My guess is that it wouldn't be that easy.

  • @dahgutone

Actually, the Tesla Model S (Sedan) will be much easier to get than the Roadster. It is will also be about half the price, making it much more accessible to the average car buyer. Well, more accessible to the average BMW/Audi/Mercedes buyer. Heh eh.

Either way, the Tesla has been proven in real-world testing and ownership. I can't say the same about the BYD test-bed.

  • @SpeedingStudent Tesla cannot possibly compare to BYD, who is a world leading battery producer, and has way more experience/innovation. The charge time of BYD batteries are far less, with a far better range. BYD batteries are proven, and are probably more safe too, based on its tests.

  • Compare 16hours to charge a Tesla Roadster to 20to30what minutes in a e6 (fully charge). It shouldn't be that much different than a Model S. Like you said, BYD's claim may be different but it can't be that much different. When you compare the numbers ...something in my mind just clicks....

The e6 uses LiFePO4 battery with durability of 2k cycles. While Tesla is using the Li-ion batteries @ 1.2k cycles.

(The both have drawbacks of course.)

  • We will see how successful they are.

Even Warren Buffet invested in their car. So he most likely has a hunch on how successful they will turn out.

  • @dahgutone he invested in their battery tech, he was quoted as being faithful in their battery tech. BYD's cars are only to showcase the tech.

Buffet sees promise in their bettery tech. that is a good sign. Batteries are a lot easier to make than whole cars with engines, transmissions, etc.

  • Okay, so let's just wait and see. The e6 will soon hit the market. It's only a year away. Just a few months after Chevy releases their Volt.

So quit the argument. I'll see you in a year.

  • @dahgutone I don't see the Volt succeeding. GM is being strangled by it's Unions for money, and already filed bankruptcy once.

I think Tesla is the US's best hope for a plug-in car. GM is finished. We should just burring them, they have been building junk for a long time now.

  • Tesla's Roaster hasn't been all that reliable neither with their transmission.

And you are right. an engine is more complex than a electric motor. But taking the electric motor and innovating new technologies, these cars will be our future. Tesla has been what? The second car manufacturer who closely mass produced electrics cars? So how much experience have they had? Not much

    BYD? None.

So they go hand to hand.

    Time will tell.

  • GM is long gone.

I've never met anyone who considered ANY GM car other than a Corvette or a Camaro whom are probably saving them.

    They lack innovations.

Ford is holding on fairly well. Dodge is fading.

  • @dahgutone I agree 100%.

I think Ford will survive this, and will build even better cars. Ford is still selling well, even in this economy.

Toyota, Honda, BMW, Porsche...I can't see any of these guys folding, ever. They build such great cars.

  • @SpeedingStudent I meant to say: "We should just BURRY them."

  • GM has some of the hottest cars on the market in the US right now. Malibu is one of the best midsize sedans. Traverse is is one of the best SUV/ family cars. GM has really stepped their game up with the new cars they are building.

  • @renesisrx8 The new malibu won't last 150,000+ miles like an Accord or Camry.

Sure, the Camaro looks cool, and it is--but how many recall has it had already?! And they have been getting it ready for procuction for like 5 years now.

Toyota releases a Supra, it has no recalls. Honda's S2000, no recalls. NSX, no recalls.

That the unions for the demise of the (Once) Big 3. For American manufacturers, only Ford makes good cars now.

  • I have a 2000 malibu and it has over 100,000 miles without a single problem. I know people who are members of the malibu owners club with malibus that have over 200,000 miles on them. Camry and Accord both have had their problems and I don't know about you but I have sat in a 2010 camry and the more basic models feel very under equipped. The malibu and the new ford fusion are the top midsize sedans in the US market right now. S2000 has had some recalls you can see online what they were for.

  • @renesisrx8 I stand corrected on the S2000. Seat belt tensioner, seat belt anchor and rear tailights were recalled on that car.

    My apologies.

  • @ speedingstudent, As far as I know, the Camaro has had one recall so far with the battery cable and that was only on V8 models. Chevy quickly fixed this issue. Every car manufacturer has some sort of problem when cars are first produced. It usually takes 3 years for all the kinks to be worked out on a new car.

  • awesome, this car is selling pretty well despite what some ignorant pricks here have to say LOL

  • 5 years and the quality is already up to level? I would say pretty impressive. 10 more years and u have invincible car that could drive 1000 mile per 20min battery charge lmao

  • these moments make me proud to be a romanian, i drive a hyundai and an audi, but the romanian car brand, powered by renault, DACIA logan is FAAAAAAAAAAAAR better than any fking chinese coffin on wheels.

  • This is actually a good result. The cabin is in good condition after the crash. Search for "Logan crash test". You'll find that it's no better. China really made death trap cars before but they are getting better and this car is an example.

  • I'm not a fan of the dacia, but at least it has an original design, and the tests here are old, there is a new model out. I drive an i30 and an audi a6, check out those crashtests...i think there will be a few car brands left before the chinese create an original car. i understand that this a breaktrough for chinese cars but...it doesn't mean it is a good car...

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah well most cars today are done like that..maybe you've heard of volkswagen group. Maybe you should practice a little on your english skills. I am sorry about your women though..I fked an asian woman once, she said she had never seen a bigger..dick before...i am proud of koreean cars, what do you have to say about those? besides copying them..

  • you're right man. I really did not know how to spell the word Romania ,before i saw your post, because nobody really care about that place in this world. I have been to many countries and never saw a product or people from this place. I'd like to spend $10000 dollar to fuk a romanian, but it seems that they only appears on the Mars. POOOOR country..

  • really poor, how much does your chinese byd car cost? "100 dolla' " ? romanian may be the way they are but at least they don't look like one or another. if you really think romanians are poor please check out top gear s14 e1. :) peace little one

  • yes, I saw it. a mid-sized town with a smooth skyline. Confirmed.

  • Did any one heard of that crappy car?

  • We definitely can make better cars than your country does.

  • No, you can't. You don't innovate, you just steal technology and call it your own.

Chinese engines are shit as well. can't even copy an engine without it falling apart. lol

That is nothing to brag about, Mao.

  • First of all learn some science.

The theory behind an Engine all came from Newton, Carnot, and Watt. Every other engine is based on those theories.

    Second of all.

A world war 2 car engine is not much more technologically advanced than a current modern day car/suv engine. Of course, there's a difference but...

    Third of all...

It's called learning science and technology. If you want to talk about copyrights, I think you owe your modern society to Newton, the father of modern physics.

  • I know my science, son.

Look at Da Vinci's notebook: his early water pumps precede Newton's birth by several hundred years.

Engines have advanced GREATLY since even WW2.

The Auto Union V16 engines were made of aluminum of such a low quality today as to be more similar to lawn furniture than even a Ford Focus engine.

  • (Con't) The advances in valve timing, multi-valve cylinder heads, metalurgy, heat dissipation properties of certain metal compounds, digital (Versus mechanical) fuel injection, and higher RPM (breathing) celings of today's engines versus yesterdays mere 4,000RPM behemoths would be unimaginable to someone even from the 1960s.

You are an idiot. Don't bring a spoon to a knife fight.

  • Those are all "minor" revisions to the engine. Yes, they do help improve the performance but it is still a car engine.

Many of the improvements you listed are actually improvements made from other fields and used in vehicle design and production.

Like I said there is a difference, but once you build you first 1930 engine. You are about 10 years away from building a 1990 engine.

  • Ahahahaha. Your statements make no sense. If that is the case, why did it take 90 years to consistently reach 200,000 miles before a teardown/rebuild?

Yeah, those 1940 Chevy engines sure lasted forever...

You have never rebuilt an engine, have you? Didn't think so.

Cars, motorcycles, engines...they are my passion.

The advances since even the 1980s have been staggering. You reveal your ignorance with every keystroke, child. Go watch some Spongebob and eat your Graham crackers.

  • You misread. If you have the technology to build a 1930 engine from scratch, then you are about 10 years away from building a 1990 technology car engine.

It's not that much of a difference. I drive a Benz. The engineering for a Benz is better by 3% than a Camry.

But because the higher you up, the harder it is to improve... this makes the Benz cost a lot.

  • I don't know where you get this "If ypu can build a 1930 engine..." stuff from, but a small block Chevy and a V10 BMW engine are not the same.

It takes millions in R&D to build a thoroughly "modern" engine today. Money China Inc. doesn't want to spend--they would rather copy someone else's hard work. The equivalent of the kid who looked over the smart boy's shoulder while taking a test. Pathetic.

In terms of quality, a Toyota Camry is just as good as an E-Class Mercedes. But one is luxury.

  • That 's what you say. and what you think about China is not the truth. and what makes you think that you are right? any way China has way more engineers than your country does, let's just wait and see . How about that

  • @laowai121 We will wait and see, there is no other option.

But your nationalistic zeal blinds you to the fact China still makes shit cars. Also, many of those "engineers" go abroad to learn. Guess where they go the most?

Yeah, my country. So suck it. You come to MY country to learn, and you have much left to learn.

  • China makes shit cars . well . compared to well known name brands , Chinese cars are a little shitty. but everybody knows that japan used to make shitty cars too. america is a country that was built on cars, making good cars doesn't mean anything. you know there are a lot of Chinese working in american companies . treat them well and respect them or they are all gonna go to China.

  • @laowai121 Making good cars IS a big deal. It relates to engineering talent, which China currently lacks.

I am not calling for persecution of Chinese in US companies, but they often steal secrects for China. I know where their loyalty lies. Bunch of roaches.

  • the first time I saw your comment I knew you were a racist immediately, which is fine to me. The worse you treat Chinese American the better China will be.

  • @laowai121 Hardly racist. I am a culturist.

I see China's culture as it is. I love Asians, but let's get real: Chinese cars are junk.

  • Chinese cars are not junk you can say that only if you have driven many Chinese cars .

  • @laowai121 I don't have to sit in a Rolls Royce to know it is the most oppulent car on the planet...

The reviews are in: Chinese cars are junk.

  • then who told you that Chinese cars are junk . you know Rolls Royce is not junk since it has a long history of car manufacturing and it has built good reputation during its history. however , Chinese cars are new in the market , what make you so confident about judge Chinese cars .

  • @laowai121 FAW is not new.

  • what the hell is FAW

  • you mean first auto work. China opened its market 30 years ago. and has been making cars in a market economy less than 25 years . they first started making cars by joint venture . China was a agricultural country before 1949 unlike japan which had developed its industry since Meijirshin . that 's why China needed joint venture. you don't wanna review all these history do you. without minority ethnic ruling the country , China can develop faster than any other country in the world.

  • @laowai121

Time will tell. But your great country will only advance off the backs of other's hard work and innovation.

No "Honda" will ever emerge from China unless a sense of honor and change is instilled in the culture. That much is certain.

  • Okay. Let's stop talking about other car manufactueres. Let's get real. BYD's E6 will soon hit the US market in 2010 as a fully electric car @ and estimated price $40,000 with a fully charged battery 250miles.

50% quick charge in 10 minutes.

Something Chevrolet's Volt would dream of having.

  • @dahgutone Like the Chevy Volt (Which is vaporware, as far as I am concerned), BYD makes claims that have not been verified.

Even at $40K, that is Tesla Model S (Sedan) territory. Sorry, but a Tesla has more brand equity than a Chinese car named BYD.

I have to sleep now. I will respond to your next comment tomorrow.

  • Yes. It's quite a competition. But the e6 will be released sooner than the Model S. And it's estimated price will be in the high $40k.

BYD may have made claims that have not been verified but IMO I'm sure that it will get 200miles under a regular Joe's foot.

    Good night!

  • @dahgutone Time will tell.

I think China Inc. has a better chance of success with battery-powered cars than cars with engines.

less complexity means a more shallow learning curve, faster innovation, etc.

Tesla did take the easy way out with it's laptop batteries, but it is also more proven.

All I know is I wouldn't buy a Chinese car, regardless.

  • why wouldn't you buy a Chinese car? Just wondering?

  • Because Chinese companies do not respect intellectual property (IP) or copyrights, and just copy other manufacturer's designs.

In the Western mind, it shows a very poor student to not innovate and do your own work. Plus, Chinese cars have a very LONG way to go to be reliable.

Oh, and I won't buy a car from a communist country that sends spies to steal our secrets through industrial espionage. Why would I support that?

  • In the 1920s,every european countries including France and Germany copied the British technology, in 1960s, Japan copied American technology, in 1980s, Koreans copied technology from other countries to bring up their homegrown industry, therefore, this is nothing new. Copying is just another way of learning, without learning the already existing technology, you cannot innovate effectively. They are just part of a long learning process. I agree we have a long way to go to become reliable, but you

  • My main point stands: Chinese companies do not innovate, and do not respect IP/copyrights of Western and Asian companies such as Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, GM, etc.

They not only copy the technology, but also the designs. Very unoriginal.

BTW, The Japanese never "copied" anyones's tech: if they did violate patents, they would have been sued and went bankrupt. Try that shit in the West, and you WILL be sued! We respect people's inventions...they don't belong to you.

  • no one copy anyone's tech, it is called learning, you know how to build a car, i learn it from you, if you don't teach me, i will learn it from someone else. If no one is willing to teach me, the only way is to steal ur building design and try to figure out how does it work. Very simple, every single country has to go through the process, the reason why chinese has to "steal " a lot of technology, is because the west put bans on technology transfer to china, since they are afraid china becomes

  • stronger and better than they are. Of course Japan "copied" western technology, so did france and germany at the initial stage of development, you think they went ahead with the research on basic skills? no, that is too much capital investment, and no country has that much money to start from scratch. That is what china is doing right now. nothing new.

  • Um, the Germans haven't copied anyone. Do you even know what a car is?

  • @SpeedingStudent of course it has...BMW used to make airplanes during the war, and it started in automobile by copying rolls royce. If they don't copy at first, how will you ever learn? It is like saying you don't copy other people's stuff, but the fact of the matter is, every single word in you are saying right now was acquired by copying and imitating the exact same sound made by your mom or teacher. So Germans haven't copied anyone, then how the hell did they learn how to make a car?

  • @cuihao Respectfully, BMW did NOT copy Rolls-Royce. The first BMW automobiles were aimed at a vastly different market than RR's cars. They were more economy cars with just a hint of luxury, versus RR's cost-no-object engineering. You confuse RR for Austin, which BMW built UNDER LICENSE, unlike the Chinese who are stealing IP in many cases.

Only from the '70s-onward, after the buyout by the Quandt family, did BMW refocus itself and chase after luxury. Forgetting the Isetta, are we?

  • @cuihao Another thing, the Germans INVENTED the AUTOMOBILE. They thought of it themselves....if you want to split hairs, we can go back to Leonardo DaVinci's notoebooks, where he designed the first engine-powered horseless carriage, but his imagination was WAY ahead of the technology available.

Germans made the first cars because their culture valued science and engineering, which they still do. Your point?

  • @SpeedingStudent my point is that there is no way you don't copy/imitate when you start to build sth, sure germans may have built the first cars or engines, but what about rest of the parts of the car, such as wheels, tires, lights etc.As far as I know, wheel was first used in Egypt, rubber were synthesized by british, and lights were discovered by emerson. Plus many, many laws of mathematics, physics and chemistry were used in the process of building a car.

  • @SpeedingStudent . In their initial step, copying/imitating is the ESSENTIAL way to learn. How the hell can you create sth better if you don't even know how to make the current product. It is like asking a child to create a better way to integrate while he doesn't even know how to add. And how do we learn? We learn by reverse engineering, we copy the good things others are doing and leave out the bad.

  • @SpeedingStudent Every single person on this planet has been copying since day one, We copy how others talk, that is how we learn to speak. We copy how the teacher do math problems, that is how we become proficient at it. We copy others how to swim, shoot a ball, drive, kiss and even having sex. That is how we learn. It is quite amusing when you say the germans haven't copied anyone.

  • @SpeedingStudent When we build something, 99.9% of the product are based on the knowledge developed by someone else and the experience gained by someone else. plus that 0.1% of creativity. That is why our society takes thousands of year to progress, to go forward. In this sense, the chinese company are just learning, and once they become good at it, they will create something unique, that is all it is.

  • @cuihao I can agree with THIS post.

  • don't tell the truth, it's always hurting, that's why you got vote down. they still live in their superior dreaming

  • hey, i mean your right!!! Take a look around the comment section, all the comments that is saying good things about my country is being voted down!!! Something is definitely not right here...:)

  • @SpeedingStudent I didn't make any of these posts, I think I forgot to log off once(That or I was in the bathroom) and someone just used my youtube account to post.

Judging by the time, it was on my personal computer. Actually I know who it was that was using it.

Anyways sorry for all your inconvenience. Please do not reply to me again.

  • Um, okay.

Love your name, btw. Very funny.

  • @obesechicken13

couldnt have said it better myself

no point to re-inventing the wheel

  • already see fast improvement just by clicking some previous videos on chinese car in car crash tests.

Everyone send spies to steal everyone else's secret, America sends the most spies around the world in espionage since the Cold War. Also, BYD is a privately owned company, if you want to say they get help from the Chinese government, I think you know better than me about Toyota, Honda,GM, Ford, all these big autombile corporations and their connection with the governments.

  • @SpeedingStudent

Not only cars, but there are many other things are made in china, no one can completely avoid made in china products.

Plus, China is communism in name only.

  • Tell that to the people executed for believing in something other than the State: ie: Falun Gong, Christians, etc.

I'm an atheist, by the way...but no one should be executed for their beliefs.

  • btw, Christans is growing in China, but all foreigners, including Christian missionaries, must register their residency with the local police. Missionary activity must not contravene any laws and must not be deemed a threat to national security.

  • Yeah, kind of like peaceful Falun Gong practictioners are deemed a "threat" to the PRC.

    Funny stuff.

  • @SpeedingStudent When were crazy killers that murder their families "peaceful"? Why don't you see the government being against Buddhists, or Christians?

  • @edwardqiu The media is an organ of the PRC politboro.

You actually believe them? lol Have simple-minded you are. Falun Gong are peaceful, and the PRC leadership is threatened by them. Simple as that.

  • @SpeedingStudent How simple-minded of YOU. What makes you so sure that these things don't happen when there are video footage/photo proof? Are you one of them? Can you guarantee they did not happen? Why isn't the government taking action against Buddhists, or other religious groups? Why are Falun Gong practitioners seen as threats to the government?

  • @edwardqiu I am an athiest, but you are obviously a troll.

Or, one of the paid PRC trolls on YouTube.

I hate religion, but I don't have a right to tell someone what to believe. That is the difference between myself and the PRC savages. Now, go troll someone else Edward, because I'm not having it.

  • @SpeedingStudent And your point is? Can't come up with a comeback? I'm a troll? How much does the CIA pay you to say these things? I'm not telling anyone what to believe, it's great that you're an atheist, have fun living until you're 80.

  • @edwardqiu My little bitch, the CIA has better thangs to do than hang out on YouTube. I do this for fun.

  • @SpeedingStudent Guess what, so does the Chinese government. Surprise suprise. Glad to hear this is what you do for fun.

  • China does not lack in any talent. it's only a matter of time. it won't take more than ten years to build best cars. and I'd be happy if you keep saying what you said here to everyone you know. It's only good for us. thank you.

  • and FYI there are many cases that Chinese American scientists were wronged. Google it. you will find out. but they still would like to make you think that Chinese are your enemies, which is fine to me. it only makes you unhappy.

  • @laowai121 There are thousands of cases of international students at our colleges stealing tech and secrets, as well as industrial espionage. So don't come at me with your righteous indignation when you don't know shit.

China is only our enemy because they steal from us, spy on us, and smile while they do it.

  • ok that is to say you know Chinese are stealing your technologies. give me some evidence . and BTW , your technologies aren't really yours since your scientist are not just white americans.

  • @laowai121 If the tech is designed in the US, it belongs to America.

When you sign an employemnt contract, it states not to tell anyone of the tech, to copy, steal, sell, or give it to anyone else...including foreign governments hostile to our nation.

Let me just go in your house and take your computer, after all, it doesn't just belong to you. Idiot.

  • exactly that doesn't make the bias you just told true. so after all you need evidence to prove what you said.

  • @laowai121

The Japanese did make crap cars. In fact some people would think the same back then as they do now against Chinese cars.

25years people would ditch a Japanese car and go for an American or a European make.

I'll give it another decade until this car manufacture dominates the auto industry.

  • @dahgutone Yeah, that's why Honda's supply of CVCC Civics were sold out for the first three years of production, right?

    You make me laugh.

  • honda civic were sold out for the first three year s doesn't make civic good. it was cheaper . there are tens of millions of cars sold out in China and majority of those cars are Chinese brands.

  • @laowai121 The original CVCC Civic was more expensive than the very popular VW Beetle. get your facts straight.

It was quality, and fuel economy that sold the Civic.

  • don't know if that was true but beetle ... come on the beetle were old fashioned at that time and it was ugly .

  • @laowai121 I disagree. The Beetle was beloved, and yes it was old-fashioned. For it's time, it was a great "cheap" car.

  • "Looks" good. Windshild did not shatter and the passenger compartment remaind stable.

  • well... it's not bad at all... for a chinese car that is.

  • HOw can you say, Einstein?

    No data given...

  • lol made in china, go figure. To be honest the safety aspect doesnt matter, a mate bought a chinese vehicle, it spent a month out of 6 in the garage having various warranty repairs done

  • Thanks for your comment, if you really have owned a Chinese car. The criticise is good to give the pressure and let the Chinese make progress for improvement, and I really want to buy a Chinese car made recently, look through the web, it does give value of money and good quality on some of brand. Wait for MG6 launch next year UK, then I would buy one. Sadly Chery M1 or A3 will not be available in Euro then.

  • why on earth would you want to buy a chinese car? they arent safe. Poorly built, and the worst build quality of any car. They break non stop

  • And there not even cheap. The BS4 is sold at over 16000 Euros. For that money you get the enty level of a Ford C-Max.

  • Because the F3DM is the worlds first commercial electric car and with this car you would never ever have to buy gasoline again, moron.

    Thats why.

  • Chinese car = is Shit

  • Totally agree ^^

  • maybe you ask yourself, what product not in china for prodution

  • @Betteryear2007 = is shit

  • おもいっきいし後頭部強打してんじゃんw

  • yeah, the Japanese commentators are in a frenzy. Don't worry, China will regain its natural top position in Asia. There is nothing much you can do about it.

  • PURE CHINESE QUALITY!!

    Perfect for the Chinese economy.

  • LOL. as a private company, beginner of car industry, with such performance it is totally ok. but looked at how Mitsubishi Carisma twisted the car frame during (Euroncap)crash test, that would call shame, if you ever had one. Ps: in west, japanese car still stands for cheap inferior car, don't even know where you get the face to sarcasm others.

  • This is better than Cherry cars crash tests.

  • its funny how all of u are so alarmed with how poorly this vehicle did, wat do u expect it costs a fraction of wat the regular car costs. u also need to know that everywhere this car was introduced it did amazing in sales, and i garentee that if u guys compared prices between this car and a civic, ud choose this car

  • WHY did they make this.

ITS a copy of a COROLLA front, a HONDA CITY back, COROLLA interior.

BUT ITS 100 times less quality.

  • go fuck yourself moron

  • there are just to many chinees guy's thats why they build that car with carton

  • correction: china is five eons behind Japan.

  • @japenisrules japan is already behind china with 205% of public debt the largest in the world and about to go bankrupt they five eons in that one and BYD E6 ITS THE MOST POWERFUL ELECTRIC AUTO IN THE WORLD WITH 300 KM OF AUTONOMY THE nissan leaf its just 160 km you losser and japan-gay population is sinkin fast you idiot jeje

  • Comment removed

  • china isn't inferior to japan u need to know that, if they were to go to war china would rape japan, not because of its ppl but because of its superior military advancements. u are right though, china is behind on the auto industry, but like all the other industries they're taking over im pretty sure the auto will become theirs too

  • chinese car fucking sux go die _l_

  • i don't believe in this video. chinese can prepare cars directly to the crash test

  • I do not understand your English. and if you do not believe in this video, then it proves Russian are liars cause this video is taken by Russian crash test centre.

  • sorry for my bad english :) if you visit magazine's "Autoreview" official site you find more crashes there. not only chinese cars but russian ones too.

this car most likely was prepared, because other tests show us bad quality of chinese cars (and a lot of russian too :).

I still believe russian mass media like "autoreview" and "zr" because they point on bugs everywhere in all cars they describe

  • well, this test is taken by a Russian crash test centre, oh, you mean we Chinese made this car especially stronger for the crash test in purpose? I do not know. China has many different auto companies, some of them are better than others. so you cannot really prejudge or stereotype all Chinese cars are bad.

  • 1) you could even find loads of EU brands made craps as well, but they dont make bad quality cars now. coz ppl could MAKE PROGRESS, and you dont trust the progress they made. Can we say "EU can't make good cars"?

    2) as the title of this vid, it tested by E-NCAP, all the cars tested here are randomly taken from the market. So do you think its not OK to prepare for all the cars in the market?

    3) You mentioned about other vids of Chinese cars are bad. But when was those car made? 5 yrs ago?

  • It is normal practice to prepare a car for one concrete test. Soviet Union did it, China does it now. Russia makes cars for export better then for inner market. China can make its cars better for EU then for Russia or for other countries.

I work with cars and trucks, so I know what I'm talking about. Chinese trucks stand separately. Used trucks and cars nobody wants to buy.

  • The Chinese realize that they are on a fine line right now of becoming the next great superpower. They understand the importance of matching our safety standards first and foremost. I've been to China and seen their processes and they make us look like retards.

  • great history and cheap off-grade goods.

  • Ratnam's GDP is getting better and better becuase u guys export brides.. . wahahaha.. around 3000 USD for a Ratnam virgin brides, and it includes 2 weeks trail exchange satisfication guarantee.. . what a great business and cheap sex!! . wahahahahaha~~~ . i love Ratnam!!!!!!!! . and 1 Chinese RMB = 1000 Ratnamess coins, what's a great vale. . oh by the way, i can use RMB directly when traveling in Ratnam..
  • the most excellent customer service in the world is delivered by gooknamese. ROFL

  • GDP per capita(nominal) and GDP per capita(PPP) are two different things for sure, according to PPP, the living standard of shitnam is still much cheaper. now go eat shit. and also, Chinese are investing in gookland for exploitation as well. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • don't worry, even though the average living standard of Chinese is still two times higher than gooknamese cockroaches. go eat more roaches and rats.

  • so many west companies have already retreated from China because apparently we raised the wage standard. they have gone to gooknam for cheaper labor and materials. I really do not think that gooknam is good. ROFL

  • purchase power parity does not make any sense. try to find the nominal statistics. international monetary fund is much more accurate. now go commit suicide please.

  • we can fuck viet pussies besides making fake stuff. I am actually going to pick up my mail order bride from gookland soon this summer. LMFAO. a big fire at a train station? this is the first time I know there is railway in gookland. I thought there would only be scooters driven rats. LMFAO

  • oh, we will see if the quality control of gooknam is good. ROFL, fake cars? sorry, your own shithole cannot even fake, electronic products? same thing, gooknamese are good at faking nikes. by the way, except coconuke milk and mail order brides, what do your country actually export? LMFAO
