You know, about the only way I can think of to go about debunking T. McKenna's rant on this particular subject is to actually get ahold of and ingest some of the mushrooms. You can attack the characters of it's supporters and producers, bomb it with bible verses or nuke it with the wrath of god, yet until you have conducted a thorough scientific investigation all of your arguments amount to so much hot air.

I see the bible as a collection of historical writings but I believe that people though religion have twisted the words in the bible to control people. I base my life on what seems logical and right to me. To me the overall message of the bible makes sense. It appears to me that most scholars Christian and no Christian conclude that he did exist. There maybe no hard evidence but it doesnt make it not true. I think that there is so much in this world yet to be discovered
