I havent got this game but the deal in the old monster hunters was you got an element preset on them once created such as the eager clever had thunder element pre set it too. this looks like the sandman finblade and that has sleep preset it too once you craft it. give it a whirl.

Heh, don't bow Babakonga. He's too quick and the lower levels bow's really aren't worth the trouble on him. Sns are your best bet.
