I remember I said "Ooohh noo..." thinking we would have another death in F1. Then later that day I see on the news "Kubica only broke a leg" I was like OMFG

not even that serious, Kubica suffered just a light concussion and a sprained ankle, he stayed in hospital for one night for observation

The last FIA safety revision came in in 2003 or 4 (i think!) Thats the one which specified the reqired strength of the cell surrounding the driver. Pre 2003 this would definately have been fatal...
